TMN s5e5 | TRANSIT - Metro Line 130 Redondo Beach to Los Cerritos Center

Experience the final ride of a historic giant on board Metro Line 130, a one seat ride from Redondo Beach to Cerritos. With the passage of "Next Gen Bus Plan" in 2020, the transit movement in Southern California is officially over (LACMTA, 2020).

On June 26th 2022, L.A. Metro severed its final ties of the eastern service area of Line 130 after 46 years of operation. The route that was once managed by a single transit agency and connected by one bus is now partitioned between two municipal transit agencies (LACMTA, 2020). The convenience of a one seat ride in this part of the county is over. Remember The 130.

These are scenes of that afternoon.
