In July of last year, Instacart sued Cornershop and its subsidiaries, for allegedly lifting thousands of images directly from Instacart's catalog, and using it as their own.

When I first started researching for this video, there were 14 people who vanished from the city of North Bay. All these cases remain unsolved.

I've always been obsessed with crime stories. I know lots of YouTubers do crime stories, but I decided to put a local spin on it. I'm going to be digging up old cases, or ongoing cold cases, that are local (Greater Toronto Area/Ontario) and will be posting a video once a week (hopefully on Mondays).

This is the story of Ms. Aysegul Candir, who also went by the name Ashley. She was murdered in the parking lot of my high school, on a winter day, two weeks before Christmas. I was in my last semester of high school. This case really impacted me, and other staff and students like me.

Hey, everyone! I'm participating in #LifeInADay. I just strung a bunch of my IG stories together into an impromptu homemade kettle chips video. LOL. Sorry, the quality isn't great. This wasn't planned. I sped up the middle part because I realized that the camera wasn't even pointing at what I was doing. LOL!

Kettle chips:
6 large russet potatoes, sliced thinly, skin on
(rinse in water 3x, in order to get the starch off, deep fry, salt and pepper to taste)

Sour cream, dill & onion sauce:
1 whole onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon dried dill or a handful of fresh dill (eye-ball it)
Equal parts mayonnaise and sour cream
Salt and pepper to taste

Basically, deep fry the rinsed potatoes for approx. 6 mins.

Dry on paper towels.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

For the sauce, mix all the ingredients together, salt and pepper to taste.

Done and done! Enjoy!

This video is my take on Facebook Groups: The Pros and Cons. Why I think that it's a great place to find people who understand what you may be going through, and can support you when you feel isolated, and feel like no one in your social circle understands.

I am a part of several Facebook groups, not just ones pertaining to trauma and mental health.

I forgot to mention that each group has their own set of rules that you need to agree to, in order to join the group. Failure to adhere to those rules, will usually mean a suspension (you can't participate) or you're just booted. Before you get up in arms and talk about censorship, remember that these groups cover sensitive material and in my experience, the admins do a great job balancing free speech, and blatant spam/pointless points/harmful posts.

I was at the local car wash minding my own business when I ran into the Peel Police Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team (MCRRT). I thought it was pretty cool and a STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION when it comes to Mental Health response in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon.

I briefly spoke to Officer Soodan and his mental health partner (whose name I unfortunately, forgot to ask). Also, this was a very brief conversation.

Much of what I talk about in this video are my own views, based on my own research, and some was from the very short conversation we had.

Maybe in the future, I could sit down and talk with someone who works in the field to actually get them to talk about their work because I think it's eye-opening and also very cool, that they've taken this step. It's a step in the right direction.

Unbeknownst to me, I won a Twitter followers contest by Peel Paramedics last month. Unfortunately, I went on a 3-week hiatus so, I didn't find out I won until last week.

Today, we're going to pick up Medic Moose and bring him home. We're also going to thank them for catching my son. I was planning a home-birth but I almost gave birth at work! My midwife didn't make it but EMS was there to catch my son.

It's a funny story. (BTW, when I say I'm crowning, what I meant was, I wanted to push his shoulders through because that's the most painful part, and I wanted to get over that part as soon as possible.)

I address two things: The idea gaining traction on the web that the family didn't do enough for Ejaz Choudry, the schizophrenic man shot dead by police in Mississauga Saturday night; and whether or not the officer who killed him, should be arrested for murder.

This is probably the most pissed you've seen me in a video, in a while.

I try not to be so emotional but when I'm riled up, I'm riled up.

My heart and my prayers go out to the family of Ejas Choudry.

As someone who's been in similar situations where I required the assistance of police on a mental health call, I fully support an investigation into what happened, and demand better training so police can de-escalate a mental health call like this using non-lethal force.

I have openly said I support good cops, and think they deserve better funding so they can have better training, and more manpower. That doesn't mean that I can't demand change, and demand that they do better, where improvement is needed.

Even though I've been in similar situations, I've never had it turn out this way so, there are no words. All I can do is publicly support the family and demand answers on their behalf. Answers for Choudry, will bring to light what needs to be done to ensure this doesn't happen to another family in the future.

There are times when we feel #triggered, and we can feel our emotions heightening. If we're able to catch ourselves before we get carried away, there is a #DBT skill called #TIP or #TIPP, which stands for:

Temperature
Intense Excercise
Paced Breathing
Progressive Relaxation

My favourite out of all that is temperature. It's saved me from many potentially devastating panic attacks.

When I heard about this family just outside Hamilton, Ontario, being detained under the Mental Health Act, I was furious: https://153news.net/watch_video.php?v.... I set out to do as much research as I could about what happened.

In my experience (https://youtu.be/tgkYczwHr9k), it's very difficult to get the police to help you attain a Form 2. If you have a family member who has a severe mental illness and could potentially harm themselves, or others, the burden of proof is so high, it's often unsuccessful. So, my initial reaction was anger, when I saw that the police decided to use this valuable tool against an entire family. I was fired up.

But the more research I did, the more I realized that some of the things they have openly said online, could be used as evidence for a legal detention under the mental health act. Let's be clear here, I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing with the acts of the police. I am saying that on my own, in my own independent research, there's sufficient evidence here for ANYONE to request a Form 2 against at least the individual or individuals who have been posting on behalf of this family online.

Lastly, the cops likely didn't show up there on their own. Somebody probably sent them there. A Twitter follower, a friend, a family member, a blog reader? Even if the cops were the ones who filed the Form 2, I'm curious what brought them to the house in the first place.

Full admission, I sprinkle this video with opinion, despite promising to try not to. It's hard, okay?!

Ultimately, I conclude with, "Should we have the right to self-harm" and "Is fasting to death self-harm?"
