Northwest Creation Network
Multimedia presentation by Chris Ashcraft during the Apologetics Symposium at Cedar Park Church, Bothell WA. May 8th, 2019.
What would the Earth be like without animals? They are indeed a very special part of the creation that provides endless fascination and brings much love into our lives. Previously unknown animals are discovered each year and the complicated world of these creatures has been made clearer by recent scientific discoveries.
This presentation will focus on the amazing abilities of animals that are often a source of inspiration to engineers. Humans have long practiced biomimicry in an attempt to glean the ingenuity behind biological designs, and in doing so testify to the creative power of our Father in heaven.

About the Speaker:
Chris Ashcraft M.S., M.Ed., MTMS is a Christian educator employed as high school science teacher at Cedar Park Christian Schools, and adjunct professor at Northwest University. Chris has also worked in plant biotechnology. He was a research technician at the Cotton Fiber Production Laboratory at Texas Tech University, then at the Plant Transformation Facility at Oklahoma State University, and lastly was the Plant Transformation Specialist for EDEN Bioscience in Bothell Washington ..
He obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wayland Baptist University in 1989, a Master of Science in biology from Texas Tech University in 1996, a Master of Education from the University of Washington in 2008, and a Master is Teaching Math and Science from Seattle Pacific University in 2012.
Chris moved from research science into the teaching profession to serve God in Christian education. His decision was motivated by the impact that secular science is having on people of faith. Today, close to 50% of Christian students lose their belief in God while attending secular schools. This tendency could be lessened if the Church was better equipped to defend the authority of Biblical teachings (1 Peter 3:15). To be prepared for these challenges, it is important that Churches provide regular educational programs on creation and other Bible apologetics.
This seminar was recorded during our Apologetics Symposium at Cedar Park Church in Bothell Washington (http://www.cedarpark.org/).
The NW Creation Network organizes numerous educational programs each year, which feature presentations by speakers, scientists, and authors who are dedicated to defending the Bible and the Christian worldview. These events are open to the public and free to attend.

According to a nationwide survey, more than two-thirds of atheists and one-third of agnostics believe that “the findings of science make the existence of God less probable,” while nearly half of self-identified theists believe “the findings of science are neutral with regard to the existence of God.” But what if there is another option? What if the discoveries of science actually lend support to belief in God?

Popular scientist Dr. David Menton captivates viewers with fascinating illusions as he explains that evolution doesn't stand a chance when compared to the truth of science, and most importantly, God's Word. This celebrated instructor uses practical illustrations to demonstrate the "integrated complexity" that would be necessary for evolution to be true. His warm teaching style and enjoyable wit make this video fun to follow and easy to understand. In a respectful way, Menton demonstrates why it is true that a person must have a sizable amount of credulity in order to buy into the tale of evolution. And don't worry, it's okay to laugh as you learn!

MATHS ARE A UNIVERSAL TRUTH.
NOBODY CAN DENY THEM
MATHS ARE ETERNAL. THEY ARE NOT BOUND BY TIME AND SPACE
MATHS ARE NOT AN INVENTION
THE ONLY INVENTIONS RELATED TO MATHS ARE THE SYMBOLOGIES AND LANGUAGES MADE TO DESCRIBE THEM
SEVERAL MATHEMATICAL PATTERNS CAN BE
OBSERVED INGRAINED IN NATURE
THE FIBONACCI SEQUENCE, THE GOLDEN RATIO , THE MANDELBROT SET AND FRACTALS REGARDING THE MANDELBROT SET
THIS IMPLIES THAT MATHS BEING IMMATERIAL ARE OBJECTIVELY ACTING IN THE PHYSICAL WORLD
THIS DEMONSTRATES THAT BOTH THE IMMATERIAL AND THE PHYSICAL WORLD ARE OBJECTIVE AND CONNECTED
THAT'S GOD. SHOWING US PART OF THE MATRIX
ANIMALS CAN COUNT
HERE IS THE THING:
GOD DOES NOT "EXIST"
GOD IS EXISTENCE ITSELF
NOTHING CAN EXIST WITHOUT EXISTENCE ITSELF
SINCE MATHS ARE ETERNAL AND THEIR EXISTENCE IS MANDATORY GOD IS A NECESSITY OF REALITY

What did Jesus mean by "you will know them by their fruit?"
"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits," (Matthew 7:15-20).
Jesus' words here are a powerful warning that there are many who come in His name who are actively seeking to lead us away from the truth, and we are to be on guard against this threat. Wolves are not a thing that sheep should only concern themselves with when things get obviously bad. Sheep must always be alert and ready for such predators. And if the wolves can dress up as sheep, the threat becomes infinitely more severe. Jesus chose very strong words here to emphasize our need to be ever vigilant against a subtle but hostile threat to us and our brothers and sisters in Christ.
But how are we to identify a threat like this? If the false prophet looks and acts exactly like a sheep, and is only inwardly a wolf, how do we figure it out? We cannot see the contents of the heart. Jesus, therefore, gave us a sign to look for: "You will know them by their fruits." This, of course, raises a further question. What are the fruits? The Gospel of Luke gives us additional details that help to clarify:
"For there is no good tree which produces bad fruit, nor, on the other hand, a bad tree which produces good fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart," (Luke 6:43-45).
We, therefore, will know the prophet by what he speaks. What comes out of his mouth will give him away. He may appear clean and upright to us on the outside in every way, but if deceit and falsehood are in his heart, this false teaching, false prophecy, and others perversions of the truth will come out of his mouth. The fruit of a fig tree is figs. The fruit of a grape fine is grapes. The fruit of a prophet is his prophecy. Jesus elsewhere said:
"Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned," (Matthew 12:33-37).
