Today, I’m going to show you how to make a Granny Square. This stitch will utilize double crochet stitch separated by a chain 1 and worked into a round. The subsequent shape will be a flat square that builds up quickly once the technique is comfortable in your hands. It is one of the more efficient uses of yarn and therefore you will be able to make a good sized blanket with relatively small amount of yarn. The square can be made to any desired size and stitched together or just continue the rounds until the blanket is the size you want. Changing the color of the yarn is simple as well.
