Fleet Carriers are FINALLY in beta for Elite Dangerous, but as people figure out how they work and what they do (and don't do) and how much they cost to maintain it is becoming very clear that Frontier Developments wasted two years of development on a feature nobody is going to use. Why? Because it costs too much to maintain and is missing the one vital feature which would have made it perfect for Explorers. Such a wasted opportunity.

Origin was created because Valve takes a 30% cut of all sales on Steam, but the platform never gained the audience numbers that Steam has. EA also never invested the time and money needed into making Origin competitive with Steam. This deal is in the right direction but one wonders if many they should write Origin off as a failure and make the move back to Steam complete.

The Destiny franchise borrows ideas from Borderlands and Warframe and maybe even Planetside. The second game in the series addresses the lack of a cohesive story and a central villain. Now that Activision is out of the picture it seems Bungie making some positive changes in the Eververse. We'll need more time to see just how much of an influence Activision had over the game, meanwhile Destiny 2 is fun to play and you should check it out.

EA's Star Wars Battlefront 2 had a very rocky start and we're still living with the fallout from the Lootbox Controversy. Since then, though, DICE has been adding a lot of new free content and fixed all of the microtransaction dependent player progression. With Capital Supremacy Battlefront 2 is starting to really feel like Pandemic's classic from 2005. Hopefully, EA doesn't ruin it all.
