WA Premier Mark McGowan is currently in Sydney attending a Federal Court hearing of a defamation case brought against him by Clive Palmer. McGowan called Palmer an enemy of the state, McGowan has replied that Palmer has created a band of angry people threatening him and his family. McGowan denied reports in the West Australian newspaper he was going to wear full PPE to attend a virtual national cabinet meeting when he was quarantining back in Perth.

On December 30 a smoking ceremony outside Old Parliament House by anti-vaxx Aboriginal sovereignty activists saw part of the building burn. ATAGI has changed its booster interval recommendation from six to five months. Jussie Smollett was found guilty of staging a race gay hate crime on himself, the prosecution case against Ghislaine Maxwell on child sex trafficking charges has wrapped up and the UK High Court gave the US Government a victory in its continued pursuit of Wikileaks founder Australian Julian Assange approving his extradition to face US espionage charges.
With Victoria continuing to break all the wrong pandemic records the Andrews Government's list of failures in managing it continues. Ken Phillips is the Executive Director of Self Employed Australia. In September 2020 he wrote to WorkSafe Victoria's Enforcement Division requesting they investigating the Victorian Government's Hotel Quarantine Failures of 2020 which led to the state's second wave which saw 801 Victorians die with Covid and Melbourne in lockdown for 112 days.
A year later WorkSafe Victoria announced it was charging the entity of the Victorian Department of Health with 58 breaches of the state's Occupational Health and Safety Act. Self Employed Australia has launched a Not Above the Law Campaign, they have identified 142 breaches of OHS and complied a list of Victorian Government officials including the Premier who should be prosecuted for those breaches.

With the NSW Police proving themselves just as brutal as the Victoria Police in enforcing Sydney's extended lockdown on the latest WilmsFront I speak with Simeon Boikov the Aussie Cossack about what he and others have experienced on the ground from the lockdown enforcers.
Simeon explains to us who the Cossacks are an ethnic and religious group founded during the Russian Empire to protect the Tsar, they were persecuted during the 20th century. Simeon had two court appearances at the same time at different Magistrates' Courts in Sydney arising from various charges the NSW Police have slapped on him during their various traffic stops harassing him. He isn't bothered by all the charges as its an excuse to get out of the house and believes clogging up the court system is one way to frustrate the lockdown enforcers.
Bruce Pascoe's Dark Emu which rewrote Australian Aboriginal History has been exposed as one of the greatest literary hoaxes of the modern era. On this week's WilmsFront I speak with Roger Karge editor of Exposing Dark Emu about the book's rise and fall.
After reading Dark Emu which argues that ancient aboriginal Australians were agriculturalists, not hunter-gatherers Roger decided to go over Bruce Pascoe's historical references and found the book was just made up. He founded Dark Emu Exposed in 2018 with more joining his cause and Aboriginal people reached out to him to decry Pascoe's rewriting of their history. Bruce Pascoe has never provided any proof of his claim of Aboriginal heritage.
The book's alternate history took off due to taxpayer-funded institutions praising it, including state literary awards and numerous interviews with author Bruce Pascoe airing on the ABC. Dark Emu then made its way into the school curriculum when it was embraced by state government education departments.
Roger believes the reason Dark Emu's new history was so widely embraced is that it helped further the white guilt Aboringal cultural genocide narrative that European settlers destroy an advanced Aboriginal civilization. This new history could then be utilized to further aboriginal sovereignty claims and a voice to parliament under the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
The most high-profile whistleblower on the Dark Emu hoax was Josephine Cashman at the end of 2019 who as a result was sacked from Aboriginal Affairs Minister Ken Wyatt's Senior Advisory Group. This was when commentator Andrew Bolt exposed the Dark Emu hoax to a wider audience.
Because the initial critics of Dark Emu were from the 'right' side of politics its fake history was dismissed by Aboriginal and leftists activists. This was until mainstream academics Peter Sutton and Keryn Walshe published their critique Farmers or Hunter-gatherers by Melbourne University Press last month.
Despite Dark Emu's historical narrative now being discredited state governments have not ordered it to be pulled from schools, political leaders don't like to admit that they were wrong. Roger believes that Bruce Pascoe will be quietly moved aside by the Aboriginal activists who supported him and Pascoe will reinvent himself as an environmental activist.

First I chat with the CEO of Right to Life NSW Dr. Rachel Carling about the successful campaign to amend the state's abortion decriminalization bill to better protect the unborn. Later Dianne Colbert a co-ordinator for the no campaign during the same-sex marriage survey shares her thoughts two years on from the yes vote.
About Dr. Rachel Carling:
Dr Rachel Carling was a Victorian minor party MLC elected in 2014 during Daniel Andrews’ first term. Sh introduced the Infant Viability Bill aimed at winding back the state’s extreme abortion laws of 2008. Rachel also led the charge in the Upper House against the Victorian euthanasia bill introduced. Following the expiration of her term, in 2018 she was hired by Right to Life NSW to spearhead likely legislation battles against new abortion and euthanasia laws.
About Dianne Colbert:
Dianne Clobert had been a social mental health worker for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Australia in one of their social welfare programs and a Lifeline training coordinator. She holds degrees in Counselling and Family Therapy and Theology. Dianne lost her accreditation following local media scrutiny over her role as the no campaign co-ordinator in Ballarat during the same-sex marriage survey. She has since founded the All Nations Christian Mental Health Association.
