Episode 24, Painting Display Plates
I was commissioned to do some display plates for a couple of businesses, and wanted to make a few sellable pieces that I had an idea for. 10 pieces in all. This video is basically 4 videos in one. I had a few projects, and the camera was rolling, and during editing it didn't make sense to cut it all up. So you get a long video.
It's technically my first filmed video in 2021.
Busy with life. No complaints, just busy building a new business, an unplanned remodel of my house, and health issues.

Due to my extreme chemical sensitivities I cannot use Resin and Epoxys, but I love their finished results. This is the best non toxic alternative I've found to give my art that high end type of finish. I prefer the high gloss but there is also a matte finish available.
Brite Tone Instrument Finish is a High Solids, Super Hard, Scratch resistant, Clear Gloss Finish with exceptional Clarity. It is Scratch, Chemical, and Water Resistant. It is Self- Leveling, Non-Yellowing, Low Odor and Low V.O.C. It is by far CrystaLacs hardest and clearest finish. Heat resistant to 350°.
You can hand wash vases, cups, and such. Soaking and dishwasher use are not recommended.

I had a mad rush of commissioned paintings to get done, 19 paintings in 9 days. Most of which were blue. Then pulled my neck muscle and couldn't move for 5 days. I needed to paint something not in blue shades.
The way I laid the paint didn't blow out as I had hoped, which required a bit of mouth blowing to adjust. The end result is beautiful.

I attempted mixing Brite Tone in my paints. It did not dry right. Messed up a good pour.
Life is an experiment and experience. Learn and move on.
I had meditation music on in the background and didn't want copyright issues so I dubbed in music from the editing app I use. Hopefully the levels are decent. Sorry if they aren't.

This is my third attempt at loading this Halloween Pour video. 🤨
My intention is to turn this upcycled record into a clock. I enlarged the hole, put a sticker over it, cleaned with rubbing alcohol, then did a Dutch pour, hated it, scraped and did it again. This is the second go-around. I think a red clockwork will look amazing on it !

Due to my extreme chemical sensitivity I cannot use Resin and Epoxys, but I love their finished results. This is the best non toxic alternative I've found to give my art that high end type of finish. I prefer the high gloss but there is also a matte finish available.
All of my clocks are finished with Brite Tone !
Brite Tone Instrument Finish is a High Solids, Super Hard, Scratch resistant, Clear Gloss Finish with exceptional Clarity. It is Scratch, Chemical, and Water Resistant. It is Self- Leveling, Non-Yellowing, Low Odor and Low V.O.C. It is by far CrystaLacs hardest and clearest finish. Heat resistant to 350°.
You can hand wash vases, cups, and such. Soaking and dishwasher use are not recommended.

I found these dessert cups a few months ago. I have used them before a few times. I absolutely love the results. Very sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, star burst like effect. I used a 12 inch record instead of a canvas. The plan is to make it a clock after the 30 day wait until the paint cures, and the new sealer that I'm using which is another 30 days to cure. I'll post more information on that in future videos.

A shipment of records arrived ! Still using up older paints and wanted to try to work on my reverse dips, I still haven't mastered it. I need stronger napkins. Switched gears after the fail and the record that was is well on its way to becoming a beautiful clock.

My Fiona Art Replica Dessert Cup finally arrived. For a first time it was ok. I need to work on this technique.

Playing with paints. 9.5 x 3.5 inch vase and 14 × 14 inch canvas
After my quick dip yesterday I also decided to do a dutch pour with balloon kisses on the fly. Afterwards my house flooded. Again..
I went on camera looking like I fell out of a garbage truck. I've had a rough week. My house flooded 3 times. I just wanted to paint..
Hi again. Getting the sound down and brushing up on my editing skills. I have Episode 2, Attack of the Cells ready for you.
I used an 11 x 14 Canvas
The pouring mix recipe I used this time, mostly.
2 oz Goldens GAC 800
6 oz reverse osmosis water
16 oz floetrol
10 oz Liquitex gloss medium
Mixed 50 % Paint / Medium
The Vandyke Brown was so thick I added 2 ounces more water and 1 ounce more pouring medium mix.
The black and white for that I used My fine art mix, which is a different gloss medium and different ratios. Those are mixed 75 % paint to 25 % medium.
The colors I used.

- Antique Gold*
Sargent Art- Burnt Sienna
Pouring Masters- Lemon Zest*
Masters Touch- Titanium White
- Black
My Brick Red is made from Masters Touch Permant Red with some Brown and Black from Apple Barrel. I cant remember exact amounts, I made 48 ounces of it at the time for a big project.
