Preach, Brother Stephen
Then Stephen gets his chance to speak and goes on for a really long time. His topic? The Hebrew Bible.
The whole speech is kind of a summary of the story of the Jewish people. He goes through highlights on Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, David, and Solomon all in one chapter. Whew! It's not easy packing all of history into one lecture

The crowd grabs him and drags him into the city to stone him. (Which is just another way to say he was bludgeoned to death by big freakin' rocks.)
Between peltings, Stephen prays that God will receive his spirit and also asks God not to hold this whole stoning thing against the crowd. Wow. Talk about forgiveness.
Stephen finally dies from rock-related injuries. Break out the tissues.

The twelve apostles don't have time for this nonsense—they need to spend time preaching about Jesus and making the religious authorities stew with anger.
So they appoint seven other men to oversee these ministries and make sure everything is running smoothly. Their names are Stephen, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolaus. Some of those names would have more staying power than others.
One day they start arguing with Stephen. When they can't win the argument fair and square, they get him arrested on charges of blasphemy even though Stephen would never blaspheme. He just doesn't roll like that.

There's this one guy, though—Ananias—who sells some property in order to pass along the proceeds to his fellow Christians.
His wife, Sapphira, knows about it, but they agree between themselves that, while they will give money to the apostles, they won't give all of it. Oh, this plan is not gonna work out well. There's this one guy, though—Ananias—who sells some property in order to pass along the proceeds to his fellow Christians.

In And Out Of Prison
This Messianic Thing Isn't Really Going Anywhere, Right?

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
And all that believed were together, and had all things common; The Messianics go out with power and Peter tells everyone why they have the power. Biblestudy for Messianics who follow Yeshua

NoneChapter five of first Kings begins with the king of Tyre named Hiram. He loved David, and saw Solomon (David’s son) was anointed in David’s place. Solomon sent to have king Hiram send diligent workers to build the temple of God.

The Sidonians were called because there were none like the Sidonians when it came to hewing timber; also there were no cedar trees like the trees in Lebanon. The king of Tyre and Israel made a league together. They worked together in supplying what the Temple of God would need.

They brought in great expensive stones for the foundation of the the LORD’s house. Both Israel and Hiram’s builder worked to fashion the house of the LORD.

There were over 3,000 overseers (upper management) on the Holy Godly project, overseeing the work being done, and over 30,000 men who worked physically on the project.

They took turns working a month at a time, 10,000 at a time. Employment was great during Solomon’s days.

1 Kings Chapter 6 summary began with Solomon who officially began to build the temple of the Lord. It took place exactly four hundred and eighty years (480) years after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt.

This was the fourth year of the reign of Solomon over Israel. As Israel built the house of the LORD, the LORD came to Solomon concerning the house.

The Sovereign LORD of Hosts reminded the king to keep His statutes, judgments, commandments, and laws. If Solomon did, the LORD would, in turn, will keep His word with Solomon as He did with David.

In addition to this, the LORD would stay with the children of Israel and not forsake His people. Nearly everything Solomon put in the house of the LORD was made with the finest material and then overlaid with pure gold.

He made images of cherubims next to olive trees, it was a visual delight, and a wonder to behold. By the fourth year, the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid down, and seven years after that the house was completed.

It took eleven (11) years to build the house of the LORD, and it was completed in Solomons fifteenth year of his rule.

1 Kings Chapter 7 summary is a brief chapter about Solomon’s palace construction and everything inside and outside of it. At the same time, Solomon was building the LORD’s house, he was also building a house for himself.

I guess we really can’t call it a house, but more a palace for the kings of Judah to reside in during their reign (like a White House). This was how chapter seven of first Kings opened.

Solomon was busy building, he made a house for the daughter of Pharaoh that he married, and it was made with expensive stones. Solomon sent for Hiram, whose mother was from the tribe of Naphtali, but his father was from Tyre.

This guy was filled with wisdom, skill, and understanding in working in brass. He did the work for Solomon that was needed. Hiram got to work, he did some heavy work for king Solomon for the house of the LORD.

He made two bronze columns that were twenty-seven feet tall and six feet in width. Hiram also made a large bowl or molten sea; it was seven and a half feet deep.

He put together ten portable bronze stands that were four and a half feet high, six feet long as well as six feet in width. He made wall panels decored with flower designs, as well as the figures of lions, palm trees, and cherubims.

It was delightful art to behold, fit for the KING, LORD, and GOD. When the house was finished, Solomon then brought in the dedicated things David dedicated, such as the silver, gold, vessels, and instruments and the such.
