While researching Baudrillard, I discovered Rick Roderick, the proto-Žižek, who had filmed the lecture series, "The Self Under Siege: Philosophy in the 20th Century" way back in 1993.
His final lecture in that "Self Under Siege" series, "Fatal Strategies," is a great crash course on Jean Baudrillard's concepts of 'The Real,' Hyperreality, and Simulation. I figured if anything deserves a vaporwave / retrowave / a e s t h e t i c remix, it's this guy!
Plus, it's always fun to see how much more pronounced and dire the warnings of the past - even of just the recent past - are today.

..and at the end of that video I mentioned doing a rebuttal, addressing what points I agreed and disagreed with.

The crux of one disagreement regarded the idea of detachment or disengagement being a viable solution/path to significantly changing our government or political/civic system. Yarvin writes:
"The irony of detachment: it's the first step on the one path to a different government. And while that path is long, this first step may be the hardest."

Yet, the more I understood Yarvin's perspective - and, with a little help from ya boi Zizzy Slav-stacks (gov't name: Slavoj Žižek) - I began to doubt the idea less.. I don't know that I'm entirely convinced, though. Luckily, Moldbug will expand on this idea in the following chapter(s).

Cuck Philosophy made this back in January 2020, but Studio Ghibli claimed it and struck it down, so it's not available on YouTube. His fans made a torrent of it which I was able to download, then I forgot about it for many months and decided to post it here for posterity.

I'm a big fan of their channel, and even though Cuck Philosophy are big leftie, Marxist, postmodernist goofballs, they are Amazing at what they do, very articulate communicators, and they effectively represent what attracts people to these subjects/ideologies as well as their redeeming/insightful qualities, often doing them much more justice than you may initially believe they deserve.
Their videos on Jordan Peterson are the most fair, informative and elucidating critiques of him I've seen, definitely check them out:

The clips (specifically the eyewitness and news footage) used in the “visual” component of this visual audiobook somewhat contrast or recontextualize the definition of power I perceive Yarvin is working with - I believe he would agree that power is still power, whether wielded by the hands of dissidents or collaborators, and so, using an understanding of power emanating from what are arguably the true (and wholly unelected) channels of power within our world (academia, corporate and tech elites, mainstream media, celebrity, the intelligentsia, and other domains of cultural and psychological dominance), I have somewhat tested the limits of his proposed hypotheses, or in the very least, attempted to recontextualize them.

This was really just made for ｆｕｎ　（異が威）, so I took a lot of liberties with my man Ted's story! Let's correct the record:

ＭＫ ＵＬＴＲＡ
- Yes, there is a connection between the Unabomber and Project MKUltra (at least a precursor program to it, or research involved with it), but for the most part these connections are greatly exaggerated. During the young Kaczynski's time at Harvard, he spent a collective 200 hours within a study led by psychologist Henry Murray, wherein he was subjected to intense psychological attacks each week. Yet I do not believe that this contributed to any alleged mental issues or this "created a killer," nor that he was under any kind of "CIA mind control." Still, this experience undoubtedly had an effect (whether conscious or subconsciously) on Kaczynski's strong views towards University professors, and his selection of targets within the University milieu.

While researching Baudrillard, I discovered Rick Roderick, the proto-Žižek, who had filmed the lecture series, "The Self Under Siege: Philosophy in the 20th Century" way back in 1993.
His last lecture in that series, "Fatal Strategies," is a great crash course on Jean Baudrillard's concepts of 'The Real,' Hyperreality, and Simulation. I figured if anything deserves a vaporwave / retrowave / a e s t h e t i c remix, it's this guy!
Plus it's always fun to see how much more pronounced and dire the warnings of the past - even of just the recent past - are today.

In September, 1995, Harvard alumnus and former Mathematics professor at the University of Michigan Theodore Kaczynski compelled the publication, in the both The New York Times and The Washington Post, of his anonymously penned, primitivist, Anti-Technological Revolutionary manifesto "Industrial Society and its Future."

The essay itself is a modern masterpiece. And its value is all the more stark and apparent today.
The further we as a civilization progress into technological slavery, fewer and fewer people will be even less readily or articulately able to express or even identify the origins of their discontent.

Yet due to the critique the essay received, Kaczynski saw fit to address his critics and readers in the form of a Postscript, a PS to his letter to a world ever more powerless, discontent, and alienated than ever before.

As Unists, we're interested in answering the questions Kaczynski and others like him have raised, and we pursue the crystallization of a new ideological paradigm, one that is sound enough to carry us away from the failures and endless feedback-loops of the previous centuries outdated ideological answers and contexts.
While our current generations relationship to technology may be more parasitic than ever, it cannot be denied that the burden of our technological slavery can somewhat be lightened by the forging of new systems, patterns, organizations and take advantage of technology more than it takes advantage of us.

The Dems are suffering from terminal TDS, they can't focus on giving anyone what they want, all they can do is attempt to channel the belligerent hatred towards the bad bad orange man - Yet, they are so overcome with their need to project their self-hatred and self-loathing, and are so obsessed with their social politics and moral grandstanding that they cannot even come out looking any better than the Right.
