The experiments were well controlled and became more invasive in their efforts to infect the healthy volunteers. The conclusion was that they didn't know how the infection spread. Medical ethics stop us from doing this type of controlled experiment.. We can't deliberately infect people. The net effect is that we may be basing all our efforts to control the current global infection with the wrong tools. It seems that it isn't working as we would like it to especially in the Northern Hemisphere.
