Miss Belgium 2018 was the 50th edition of the Miss Belgium which was held on January 13, 2018, at the Plopsaland Theater in De Panne, Belgium. Angeline Flor Pua was crowned as Miss Belgium 2018 in the conclusion of the pageant. After her crowning, Angeline Flor Pua underwent racist abuse on social media for not being Belgian enough to represent the country at any international pageant. Pua then represented Belgium at Miss World 2018 and Miss Universe 2019.

Please note that the reason why I have two women shown in the thumbnail, as Miss Universe 2002, as opposed to only one is that the original winner of Miss Universe 2002, Oxana Fedorova of Russia, was dethroned four months after she was crowned. She was replaced with that year's 1st Runner-Up, Justine Pasek of Panama.

Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 17 and 25. Originating in 1921 as a "bathing beauty revue" competition, the contest is now judged on competitors' talent performances and interviews. In 2018, they got rid of the swimsuit competition and made it a "competiton" as opposed to a pageant. Now that Gretchen Carlson, the woman who spearheaded the change has resigned as chairwoman of the organization, the question is now whether or not the swimsuit/bikini contest will be coming back and whether or not it will go back to being a pageant.
