EDIT: NOPE! I HATED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS EPISODE! We literally had an AMV in the middle of the episode! JESUS CHRIST! They made Jounouchi stupid because, of course, he cannot compare to Atem or Yuugi (they effing cannot decide at this point), to the point where everyone was making fun of Jounouchi throughout the episode! Like he didn't have a WHOLE arc of learning how to duel to begin with! And the hypocrisy of YUUGI, OMG! I swear, they're making Yuugi the villain of the show!! Not Atem, because Atem appears to have no control over Yuugi's body, despite the fact that HE DOES! So, Yuugi is calling the shots and making all of these snarky remarks about Jounouchi's skill, it's absurb! So no! One big fat NO!

I wanted to show the most beautiful friendship ever written. How much Yuugi was afraid to lose Atem, especially at the very beginning of their journey. Atem made a promise: he would stay forever. And it was a promise he couldn't keep.
Yuugi had grown so much. He could stand on his own, and... he could protect his most dear friend's peace... and let him go. This is probably the most painful thing anyone can experience: willfully watch as someone you hold dearly walk away into the afterlife.

4KIDS HAD ONCE AGAIN PROVEN THAT THEY ARE ALLERGIC TO SILENCE! Like for real, there were zero to no moments of silence in these two episodes! Even Kaiba's reunion with Mokuba, come on! AND THE HORUS EYE UNNECESSARY EDIT EFFECTS! WHY ARE THEY THERE? Who can explain it to me? What kind of shadow magic does a Gate Guardian hold that makes Atem worried and reveal his Eye of Horus?? And Pegasus just flashing his eye like a laser tag, jesus! Not even gonna talk about the SFX for the monsters. We have either cats, or falcons, or slugs! Not dragons, or demons, or fiends!
