This is my first full frame camera and I figured the best place to put it through it's tracks is Australia's Maxim Magazine Bikini Model of the Year Final's Pre-Show.

REVIEW
The first thing I have to say is that the quality is amazing, coming from someone who typically shoots on her smartphone or at best a 3/4 inch sensor, it's just wow.

I ran the camera in manual mode because I find that using Auto does lead to strangeness in the video footage, primarily due to the constant shift in shutter speed as the camera tried to compensate the changing lighting conditions.

Manual mode is pretty challenging to get a handle on, but I find that if you just lock the shutter speed to double or quadruple your frame rate, the footage looks bright and enjoyable in playback. I did accidentally shift the exposure ring to max on the start which lead to some grainy footage, however once I dialed it back, the quality became smooth again.

The shoot took about an hour and a half and the battery was still at over 40% by the end of it, however I have to say that this camera is pretty weighty compared to what I'm used to. This did make it a challenge to keep the camera fully steady, but the stabilisation in the lens and body seemed to work well.

The autofocus was great as expected from a Sony. I previously used a Panasonic camera in the past and it was a nightmare in low light.

The kit lens used was... well I haven't tried any other lens so I can't compare, but as you can see the quality and stabilisation was great.

What are your thoughts on the new iPhones, iPads, Watches and more?

At Apple's September event new hardware and software was announced. Kicking off with Apple's Games streaming service costing $5 per month. Then followed by an updated budget iPad model and a new Apple Watch with always on display. Until, finally the new iPhones were announced with a processor that's reportedly 2 times faster than the Samsung Galaxy Note10+... Yowzers.

In this review we take our worn and torn iPhone 6S straight to Apple to see how much we can get. Then take our one year one Samsung Galaxy S9 to Samsung to find out it's now worthless.

APPLE
Worn and torn Apple iPhone 6S got us $205, we would of got $275 if we came in the day previous because Apple have just lowered the trade in prices due to the new iPhone coming out in a couple of days. So if you are trading in, make sure you go at least a week before a new iPhone. Basic phone checks were made and even though there were slight marks on the phone, battery life were typical of a 3 year old phone and we rocked up with no accessories, they still offered us the full trade in value.

SAMSUNG
A in-excellent condition Samsung Galaxy S9 bought the year previous for $1,349 is now worth $265. No accessories are taken in for the trade, so if like me you sold the AKG headphones on eBay for $50, all is good in the world. For a limited time only, if you trade in your phone for a new Note10 or Galaxy S10 phone and not credit, they said they'll throw on top another $200.

OVERALL
While personally I prefer Samsung devices, they SERIOUSLY depreciate in value.

ProRes vs HEVC vs H264 - In this video we enter into the world of pixel peeking to let you know how big of a difference exporting a 28GB ProRes422 file makes when compared all the way down to a 300MB HEVC.

#4 Export File (Computer) - 880MB
#5 Pro Res 422LT - 3650MB
#6 Pro Res 422 - 5190MB

OVERALL
Avoid exporting to Apple Devices, the quality really suffers. Probably the best bang for bug for modern Macs is HEVC, even bumped up to 20kbps, they're smaller than Better Quality (Computer). For the best of the best, the Pro Res formats are the one to go to, but of course they are HUGE, so if you're limited to hotel wifi bandwidth, it might not be an option.

After 4 months of daily use, the keys of my previously repaired MacBook Pro started playing up again. In this review we take you through the various levels of Apple Support to find a resolution.

KEYBOARD REFUND REVIEW
After 3 months of use my keyboard started failing, so I took it to the Apple Store and they replaced the keyboard in about a week. After another 4 months the replacement keyboard started failing again. I decided to grin and bear with it as I needed the computer for work. Unfortunately after another 2 months it became very unproductive to use, so I took it to the Apple Store again. I had previously heard that they would replace the 2018 keyboard with the newer 2019 nylon keys which were noted to be more reliable, but unfortunately I was just offered another 2018 keyboard replacement. At the store, the manager said that a keyboard issue was just a minor issue, and that it was just best to contact Apple Support to see if they could do anything about it instead.

On the phone Apple Support said they viewed the keyboard not functioning properly as a major failure, but all they could offer was a repair unless I had something else in mind. I mentioned that on their website it says according to consumer law I should be entitled to a replacement or even refund after a failed repair. She said that a refund would be hard but a replacement could be possible.

After a week or so, I finally got back in touch with Apple Support as I had previously missed the calls of the advisor. At this time I felt guilty thinking that expecting a working keyboard was bad. The advisor on the phone told me that they could offer a replacement, but the prices had gone down in price, so I had to add on some upgrades to match or beat the price I paid, which I did and provided payment details for.

Unfortunately, the replacement request was denied citing that they could only replace my MacBook with another 2018 model, so I asked for a refund instead as it was the keyboard I was concern..

Imagine we live in a world where two of the EXACT same spec MacBook Pro's perform COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

That's right, in this review we pit the 2019 i9 2.3GHz MacBook Pro against a 2019 i9 2.3GHz to find that one of them performs 15% faster than the other... The exact same spec... performs 15% faster...?
