How To Bind Off A Flat Scarf On A Round LoomWambui Bahati demonstrates and talks about various crafts and crafting techniques.
-----------
In this video I demonstrate How To Bind Off A Flat Scarf On A Round Loom. In other words, how to get a flat scarf off the round knitting loom once the scarf is the length you want it to be.
There are nine easy and quick steps that are repeated until all of your loops are off the loom.

Start with the yarn that is attached to the ball at the beginning peg.
These are the 9 steps:
(Once you see the video demo, it will make more sense and seem lot simpler.)
1. Skip the first peg.
2. Go to the second peg.
3. E wrap or make a half wrap around the top of the second peg.
4. Pull the bottom loop over the top loop - and, off the peg.
5 Take the remaining loop off that peg and hold it.
6. Move the loop you are holding onto the FIRST peg.
7. On the first peg, pull the bottom loop over the top loop - and, off.
8. Take the remaining loop off that peg and hold it.
9. Move the loop you are holding onto what was the SECOND peg.

Peg 2 is now the new Peg 1 - Repeat until all of the loops have been take off the loom.

How To Loom Knit A Flat Scarf On A Round Loom

In this video, I demonstrate how to knit a flat scarf on a round loom. The first scarf I knitted on my round loom, had beautiful stitching but looked like a 'sausage'.

The scarf rolled in on itself. No amount of ironing was going to get that scarf to lay flat.

I started hearing from others that they were having the same challenge. They were getting curly scarves.

I found out that the reason our scarves were 'curling up' was because were were using one stitch - the same stitch - to knit the entire scarf. The key is to use several - or at least 2 different stitches to balance out the scarf. Here I demonstrate how to alternate between one row of knit and one row of purl to create a beautiful flat scarf that doesn't curl.

How to Loom Knit Straight Cable Stitches --
he focus of this video is loom knitting cables. Cable knitting is a style of knitting where textures of the yarn are raised slightly above the base garment of hat. Many times they look like braids and sometime intertwine with one another. While it is possible to do very fancy cable stitches with the round loom. I am going to demonstrate the straight cable stitch.

How to Loom Knit for Beginners, Part 2: Getting Your Project Off the Loom / Binding Off

In this video, I demonstrate how to get your project off the loom. Once you have finished loom knitting the amount of rows you want - or you have the project the length you desire, it is time to finish the project by removing it from the loom. We also want to lock our stitches so that our work is secure and doesn't unravel or or pull apart.
To remove the loom knitted project from the loom, a yarn needle is needed. The yarn needle can be any length. However, eye of the needle must be large enough for the yarn that was used for the project to fit through comfortably . . .

How to Loom Knit for Beginners: Basic Loom Knit Stitch
Wambui demonstrates how to get started knit looming.

In this video I take you through the beginning steps of loom knitting. After this video you will know how to do a basic loom knitting stitch that is often called the 'e' stitch or 'e-wrap'. It is called the 'e' stitch because as the yarn is wrapped around each peg, it resembles the shape of the small e in cursive writing.
