Founded by song-writing duo Kat McDonald (former ‘Little Buddha’ chanteuse) and Robert Davidson (former ‘Paranoid Monkeys’ frontman) to craft songs about their travels around the sun, their journey into love, veganism and the animals that have been totemic along the way.

Their voices have been likened to Serge & Jane, Lee & Nancy, Cave & Harvey and even impossible couplings such as Bowie & Bush and Walker & Bjork. Their voices rock and roll together, inextricably entwined: he brings thunder and lightning to her dark velvet skies and she brings petrol to his naked flame.

Aside from keeping the company of wolves, Pilgrims conversed with a one-eyed tiger, crossed paths with a vicarious fox; were judged by a murder of crows and charmed by one hundred butterflies.

Each song has its own voice, its own tale to be told, lesson to be learned and dream to be set free. Their cinematic fusion of progressive post-rock, psychedelic trip-hop, spoken word and experimental folk is a soundscape that alludes to an otherworldly and transporting live experience. It is their ubiquitous soundtrack, a sensory montage, garnered from future dreams, journeys past and present and unforgettable memories.
