Remember the Last End of all things. Respond by spiritualizing your understanding. Spiritualize the situation with recourse to God. Vengeance is God’s alone. True and balanced justice will be served, but never by man. Identify with the early Christian martyrs who were fed to the lions for the amusement of the heathen masses.
