This book marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Hebraic Collection of the Library of Congress.

The exhibit, From the ends of the Earth, Judaic Treasures of the Library of Congress, presents as Sumptuous sampling of these book manuscript, and Prints for what they are, rare and important signposts on the four thousand-year-old Journey of the Jewish spirit.
Founded in 1914 as the Semitic Division, the Hebraic Section’s Beginnings can be traced to Jacob H. Schiff’s gift in 1912 of nearly 10,000 books and pamphlets from the private collection of Ephraim Deinard a well-known bibliography and Bookseller, as well as an initial grant of $15,000 to establish Judaica.
Shortly after its establishment, the library DEVELOPED AND EXPANDED its Hebraic Holdings to include all materials of research value in Hebrew and related languages.
The Library highlights many colorful characters who helped pave the way for this Jewish “History”, from critics who demanded more clarification, like Baruch Spinoza, who was one of the first to subject the Bible to critical analysis, to wandering Printers like the Soncino family, who for five generations, produced Hebrew books on three continents.
The greatest of the Soncino’s, and universally acknowledged as the Towering figure in the more than five centuries of Hebrew printing, was Gershom Soncino. A Wanderers staff would have been a more appropriate printers logo than the tower he chose.
Another wondering printer seeking Asylum produced another first, the first book printed in the holy land. In 1573 Eliezer Ben Isaac Ashkenazi of Prague, a printer of Hebrew Books in Lublin, set out for the Holy Land.
After three years plying his trade in Constantinople, he arrived in Safed. In the sixteenth Century Safed was one of the most spiritually creative Jewish cities in the world. The site of a great Revival of mysticism through the brief but electrifying presence there of Isaac Luria (the Ari) 1534 to 1572, it was also the home of Joseph Carro 1488 to 1575 the author of The Authoritive Code of Jewish Law, the Shullan Aruch. These were but two of a large group of Scholars whose influence throughout the Jewish World gave Safed a place of centrality in Jewish spiritual life and culture.
A good number of its residents were Jewish Exile from Spain and Portugal, or the children of Exile, who brought to the community manufacturing and Commercial skills as well as culture. The town seemed an ideal place for a Hebrew printing establishment and the Ashkenazi of prig quickly found a namesake Abraham and Isaac Ashkenazi, who he had met in Constantinople, to provide funds for his Venture. They felt sure that Jews the world over would want holy books printed in the Holy Land but only six books appeared, 3 in 1577 through 1580, and three more in 1587, all by Safed authors.

Maimonides was only 16 years old when he completed his first work, a technical Treatise on logic, Called Millot ha-Haggayon (TERMS OF lOGIC) Venice, 1550. written in Arabic, it was translated into Hebrew by Moses ibn Tibbon, who gave it its Hebrew name. It's theme and structure paved the way for Maimonides later works, like the Mishneh Torah, which he was most notably famous for. The division of this first work into 14 chapters foreshadows the 14 section composition of the Mishneh Torah.
Maimonides practiced medicine to support the family. Within 6 years he became the official head of the Jewish Community. The Mishnah Torah was his “Magnum opus”, the first comprehensive code of Jewish law.

Americas 3rd President, Thomas Jefferson took an interest in the library from its early Inception in 1800. Limited in function, it was originally intended to serve the needs of members of Congress, the library remain small in size and narrow in scope. On August 24th 1814, British troops Set Fire to the Capitol Building, and burned down the library. When the news reached Jefferson, he decided to sell his entire collection of books to restart the New Library of Congress.
In Jefferson's collection are the genuine works of Flavius Josephus, the Jewish historian, who in 75 CE, at AGE 38, wrote the JEWISH WAR, and 18 years later, he wrote the ANTIQUITIES OF THE JEWS, to explain who the Jews originally were; Editions of Josephus began to appear in the early years of printing, translations multiplied, and second only to the Bible, it was the most popular work in colonial and Early Republic America.
- One wonders how the generation of Jefferson, having recently thrown off the Yoke of domination of an imperial power, reacted to the Jewish War, The Saga of a rebellion cruelly crushed, an uprising which brought not Liberation but harsher subjugation, Exile, and enslavement.

In the years that followed, the library DEVELOPED AND EXPANDED its Hebraic Holdings to include all materials of research value in Hebrew and related languages.
Of equal importance for the American Jewish community, is the special relationship which Jews have had with America from the outset of the settlement of this continent. As the NEW NATION FLOURISHED, SO DID THE JEWISH PEOPLE, along with dozens of other nationality groups seeking to be free. To Jews, America was the “Goldene Medineh” , while American streets may not literally have been paved in gold, two Jewish immigrants the equivalent was realized in the opportunity granted to each person to express deeply-held desires to be free to create, to build, to study, and to practice all manner of religion or none at all.
The Hebraic section received its 2nd major boost as a result of the enactment of PUBLIC LAW 480 in 1958, which 25 American Research libraries including the Library of Congress were supplied with a copy of virtually every book and journal of RESEARCH VALUE published in Israel, a program coordinated by the Library of Congress, that lasted nine years, from 1964 to 1973, and provided each of the participating institutions with an average of 65,000 items.

"To be a disciple does not require giving away your free will. To be sure, it requires being humble and willing to learn, but it does not mean slavery or submission to a person or to an idea.
Accepting anyone as a savior reinforces your unworthiness it keeps you a dependent position.
Any teacher that would control or limit your freedom or take away your power to decide for yourself is no spiritual teacher but an impostor many cult leaders fit that bill.
Jesus wants to empower you, not to take your power away. Let us be clear on that.
A teacher of empowerment knows that he has succeeded when the student is strong enough and skillful enough to stand on his own. Moreover, if he learns to stand in the fullness of his power, he is capable of empowering others and this is how the teaching spreads exponentially.
One teacher can Empower many.
So don't be confused on this point. Don't think it is okay for you to give away your power because you were giving it to Jesus.
It's not okay. Jesus doesn't need your power. It is not what he wants. He wants you to stand in your power so that you can Shine Your Light and give your gifts to the world.
Standing in your power is not to be powerful over others, it is the power of the self to be itself. If you give your power to others, you cannot be your authentic self. And then you will be afraid to stand in your truth and be a servant of Love."

I signed up for the mailing list for "Stand With Us", also known as "Israel Emergency Alliance", so that I could share this mail with friends. It's good to be aware of the propaganda coming out, seeing as how some of our own family members may be receiving these. Americans that are barely scratching by are falling all over themselves to give them money, I saw it on one of their posts, it's so sad and pathetic. They know we have good hearts and that we will help, so they take advantage of that fact.

God dwells in your Heart, not in temples made by men. To establish a Third Temple would be mocking to God and everything he stands for, especially offering up burnt sacrifices that offended him. We went through this before, Twice. Thou shalt not kill, he meant it. The very scribes, hypocrites and pharisees that Jesus warned us of are the ones trying to establish this takeover of the bible, build the Third Temple and establish a New World Order from Jerusalem.

What does it mean to "honor the Temple?" What is the true meaning and teaching of the Temple? Is it showing up to a public building to "honor God', or honoring God 24/7 by living breathing, and walking the path? Jesus' teachings concerning this are being pushed aside to usher in false end times prophesy, predictions and the replaying of old scripts taken to a level of insanity.
Jesus' teaching need to be highlighted and clarified because many of the old testament laws have been replaced and much of the scripture has been fulfilled.
Religion has been weaponized to a point of having much of mankind in fear and running to the bible. In many parts of the world people are even being punished for this, its beyond ridiculous, religion and all of its insanity is being exposed and overturned, mankind can evolve beautifully through Jesus teachings and allowing Christ Consciousness to help guide us, learn to trust our instinct and communicate with God on a personal level.
