Kevin Prosch was one of the most brilliant and original composers and leaders of praise music in the Pentecostal tradition in 1990s and 2000s.

This unparalleled album combines improvised lyrics with nature sounds and ethnographical elements. To my knowledge, no one ever in the history of Christian musicology has ever composed anything like it.

Largely unrecognized and under appreciated, it represents the very best of the Pentecostal strain of Christian worship, weaved into the larger tapestry of what we, the Christian Church, have rendered unto God over (almost) 2000 years.

A sermon from May 2023, Pentecost Sunday. The topics of fertility, family, and home are explored in reference to Acts 2 and the birth of the Church on the first pentecost.

This lecture was given by Dr Miller at City Church (Corpus Christi) in February of 2023.

Dr Miller traces the way we have been thinking and acting from the birth of modernity (c. 1500) through today. That is to say, through the late modern period.

February 2023. Practical insights for sharing the gospel.

How did Jesus go about making disciples who would spread his message and Kingdom? Let's dive in.

Dr Hoskin and I continue our conversation about the Holy Trinity. We also get into the place of the creed in liturgy and some of the technical vocabulary: persona, hypostasis, and prosopon.

I talk with Dr Matthew Hoskin about the Nicene Century (4th) and the development of the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. And yes, we talk about the Filioque addition.

The Rev. Drs. Duane Alexander Miller and Mark Durie talk about the deficiencies of the modernist vision of discipleship. We explore the third and fourth of eight points in the following outline proposed by Mark Durie:

Eight Dimensions of a Disciple’s Becoming, in the light of ‘modernist’ discipleship

1. Loving and serving God: prayer, Bible reading, worship. These all arising from and expressing relationship with God.
2. Following Jesus; the imitation of Christ. Intimacy, obedience, fostering godly disciplines and formation of character.
3. Seeking the Kingdom first above all else, in every area of life: thorough- going heart orientation. Leaving and cleaving.
4. Spiritual victory over evil: living out the call to freedom (incl. inner healing and deliverance).
5. Living in Step with the Spirit: identity (sealed), holiness (conviction, repentance) and empowerment (for righteousness and ministry). Walking in miracles.
6. Believing the truth: renewing your mind and truth applied to one’s own inner life: affirming true identity. Not just theological but pastoral.
7. Life in Community: a community of love and service; loving your neighbour as yourself; loving and being loved.
8. The grace of suffering: a key aspect of the imitation of Christ (don’t be a ’fair weather Christian’.

Today I interview the author of this new book. Here is the book's description:

"The Qur'an's Difficult Verses Explained unveils the true meaning of some of the Qur'an's most controversial verses. Abdul Haqq brings to life material from respected Islamic commentaries on the Qur'an, both traditional and modern, the lessons of Muhammad's life (hadith), authentic biographies of Muhammad, and authoritative historical accounts. Garnering this rich source material, most of which is unknown to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike, he makes the Qur'an come alive in textured detail. Abdul Haqq demystifies verses on women, violence, science, history, superstition, and many others and reveals their actual meaning. The Qur'an's Difficult Verses Explained is essential reading for those seeking a more thorough grasp of the influence of Islam in world affairs, as well as for those seeking a richer understanding of one of the world's greatest and most fascinating religious texts."

The Rev. Doctors Mark Durie (Australia) and Duane Alexander Miller (Spain) have a conversation about their insights and experiences in discipling converts from Islam and pastoring their congregations.

Duane is author (most recently) of *I will Give them an Everlasting Name: Pastoral Care for Christ's Converts from Islam* (Regnum) and Mark is author of (among other books) *Liberty to the Captives: Freedom from Islam and Dhimmitude through the Cross* (Deror).
