In this interview, Frank Llosa, founder and CEO of KetoneAid Inc., and I discuss the pros and cons of exogenous ketones (supplemental ketones). Your body makes ketones under certain conditions (so-called endogenous ketones), but you can also take them orally.

Endogenous ketone production is an emergency response that relies on the activation of stress hormones. For this reason, I suspect chronic ketosis may be inadvisable. Taking exogenous ketones, however, does not activate stress hormones, and can be very helpful in some instances.

While ketones are generally known to be good for your brain and lower inflammation, your brain cannot function on ketones alone. It requires glucose. If you do not consume enough carbs, your body will sacrifice muscle tissue to make the glucose it needs.

There are several different types of ketone products available, including MCT-C8 oil, racemic ketone salts (beta hydroxybutyrate), chiral ketone salts (D-beta hydroxybutyrate), ketone esters and R 1,3-butanediol.

One of the best therapeutic applications for exogenous ketones is when you need to decrease oxidative stress, such as when getting a CT scan, x-ray or chemotherapy, or when flying.

On the rare occasion where radiation or chemo may be warranted, high doses of ketone esters may help protect healthy cells from being damaged, specifically your immune cells.

In this interview, Christy Sutton, D.C., reviews the dangers of excessive iron. While most doctors look for iron deficiency, few ever pay attention to elevated iron. Sutton is the author of two books, “Genetic Testing: Defining Your Path to a Personalized Health Plan: An Integrative Approach to Optimize Health,” and “The Iron Curse, Is Your Doctor Letting High Iron Destroy Your Health?”

High iron is an under-recognized health threat. There’s a general lack of awareness in the medical community regarding the potential health risks associated with high iron levels.

A ferritin level above 100 typically means you're either inflamed, have high iron, or both. A level above 200 is considered pathological. The higher your ferritin level, the shorter your lifespan. You’re also more likely to die of a heart attack and cancer.

Left untreated, high iron levels can cause liver damage and an increased susceptibility to certain diseases, including infections and cancer.

Lab tests that can help diagnose iron-related conditions such as hemochromatosis include a full iron panel, a complete blood count (CBC) test, gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), and a comprehensive metabolic panel to ensure you have sufficient liver enzymes. Measuring your copper and ceruloplasmin levels can also be helpful.

The easiest way to lower your iron is to donate blood on a regular basis. Natural supplements such as curcumin, silymarin and alpha-lipoic acid can also help prevent from continuing to accumulate iron from your food.

The trend is for fewer but bigger firms increasing their power to control what we eat; at the time Howard wrote his book, four European firms controlled the global beer market; six firms controlled the global seed market; two firms controlled food distribution in the U.S.

Monopolies benefit corporations — not the public — reinforcing the company’s power and political clout. Many corporate executives even served, and still serve, on federal advisory committees and global trade agreement working groups.

Two-thirds of the farm commodities sold in the U.S. came from just 100,000 farms, and these middle-to-large-scale farms just kept getting bigger, in part by the way government subsidies are doled out.

Vitamin D gets converted into a steroid hormone that regulates over 1,000 different physiological processes, and controls around 5 percent of the human genome.

Vitamin D regulates a gene responsible for the conversion of tryptophan into serotonin. Serotonin is crucial during fetal brain development. When vitamin D is lacking, so is serotonin, which can produce neurological defects.

Vitamin D insufficiency may heighten maternal autoimmune responses by hindering tryptophan from being metabolized (by a second pathway) into kynurenine, which forms autoimmune-fighting T regulatory cells.

The vaccine industry intentionally deceives us about the risks and benefits of vaccines in order to make a profit, with complete disregard for human suffering and the destruction of public health over time.

One of the reasons the polio vaccine doesn’t work is because polio isn’t caused by an infectious virus. It’s caused by toxins. Poliovirus is a commensal virus that is completely harmless in the absence of toxic onslaught.

The changing of definitions is part of the vaccine industry’s playbook. The definition of a “vaccine” was radically altered to allow for the use of experimental modified RNA gene therapy.

Another part of the fraud is using another vaccine as the control in lieu of a true placebo. You simply cannot prove a vaccine is safe by comparing it to another, most likely unsafe, vaccine.

According to Dr. Suzanne Humphries, there are no worthwhile vaccines, not even smallpox or tetanus. Tetanus can be successfully treated using high-dose intravenous vitamin C and magnesium.

Vitamin C works because tetanus is a bacterial disease caused by an obligate anaerobe that cannot survive in the presence of oxygen. Other oxidative therapies that could be used if the infection is related to a wound include hydrogen peroxide and ozone therapy.

Del Bigtree, founder of “The Highwire” and the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN.org), shares some of the recent lawsuits ICAN has won against the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In 2023, ICAN won back the religious exemption from vaccinations in Mississippi that had been gone since 1979. It was the first state in the union to lose the ability to opt out. In 2023, Mississippians regained that choice.

COVID forced courts to take a stand on religious rights. Churches were shut down during the pandemic while big box stores, liquor stores and even strip clubs were allowed to remain open. Court cases ensued, in which the courts concluded that wherever there is a secular right, there must also be a religious right.

ICAN mirrored that argument in its Mississippi case and pointed to the medical exemption. If people have the right to opt out of a vaccine program for medical reasons (which is a secular reason), then people must also have the right to opt out for religious reasons.

In a project called “Free the Five,” ICAN is now working to regain the religious exemption to vaccination in Connecticut, New York, California, West Virginia and Maine as well.

ICAN has also won cases against the U.S. Air Force and Army on behalf of soldiers who were being kicked out for refusing the COVID shot. They also won a big case against airlines that were mandating mask wearing. Several precedences have now been set, which will make it all the more difficult for government to replicate what they did during the COVID pandemic.

ICAN also sued the FDA to release the data from the trials of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID shots, as well as the CDC, which was refusing to release its V-Safe data. All of that is now coming out, showing just how dangerous the COVID shots are.

An interview with return guest Ashley Armstrong, a certified personal trainer with a Ph.D., MS and BS in engineering, and cofounder of Angel Acres Egg Co., which specializes in low-PUFA (polyunsaturated fat) eggs. On average, her eggs contain 17 to 20 milligrams of linoleic acid (LA), which is about one-quarter of the LA found in conventional eggs.

Around the advent of the American Civil War, about 1870s or so, is when they developed the technology to extract oils from seeds. Before then, the average LA intake was less than 5 grams a day, and likely closer to 2 or 3 grams.
