Is There a Conflict Between Science and Christianity? by Nicky Gumbel (2016 ed.).

The Alpha Course is a 15-session intro to Christianity. More than 10 million people have been influenced. It started with Anglican Holy Trinity Brompton in 1977.
TIME mag had an article "God vs. Science" and in it there was a quote from Paul Bloom: "Religion and science will always clash" (Gumbel, pp. 7,8). Bloom misrepresented & criticized Ben Carson in the Atlantic. Bloom is a Psychology Prof at the University of Toronto. Did Dr. Bloom separate twins connected at the head?
Ben Carson gave the Commencement Speech @ Emory University in 2012, how about Dr. Bloom? I met Dr. Carson in Midland, Texas when he was running for President.

Writing in the Atlantic, Paul Bloom claims that science is superior to faith.
Solomon was a scientist, Dr. Bloom should read 1 Kings 4:29-34.
Modern Science in the Bible by Ben Hobrink is a great resource - it was published by Simon & Schuster!!
Former evolutionist Ben Hobrink lives in the Netherlands and works with Open Doors.
He now holds to the traditional view: Creation In Six Days #CISD a Global Flood and a youthful planet.

The remedy to Brother Nicky's book is Six-Day Creation by Robert Gurney.
This is also a short book that came from Britain.

Dawkins invented the term "meme," here is his description:

The half-life for the 87Rb to 87Sr decay process is generally regarded at around 49B years. However, some measurements have put that figure as high as 62B years! [2] Now the 15th most common element in the Earth is Strontium and the 23rd is Rubidium. [3] If it takes so many #Billions of years to turn Rubidium into Strontium, how do those relative abundances make any sense? Recall, that #BigBang folk think it all started with H, He & Li. You might as well claim that you can turn straw into gold (Rumpelstiltskin)!

In his conclusion to his book Earth's Deep History, Philosopher and Historian of Science Martin John Spencer Rudwick admits that Science is tentative. Rudwick is a professing Christian [5], so you'd think he'd be Young Earth since Jesus said, "At the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female'" (Mk. 10:6, cf. Mk. 13:19,20; Lk. 11:50,51).

Young people are brainwashed or "brandwashed" by OEF's (Old Earth Fallacies) at an early age - from father to son, father to son. Name ONE university that tells YOUTH the Truth about a youthful world. From my interviews with Hillsdale students and staff, I understand that some Profs hold the young earth view and others do not.

When I was around 11 yo, Time-Life Science books were the greatest. Once we go with Darwin & Deep Time we lose our taste for patterns (can you say "Junk DNA") and the meaning of life dissolves. Chapter 10 of my book deals with meaning, "Darwin's Downers."

R. F. Diffendal Jr. in his article “Earth in Four Dimensions: Development of the Ideas of Geologic Time and History” in Nebraska History presents the controversy fairly:

"To some extent the arguments about a short Earth history of a few thousand years versus a long history of billions of years are still going on today. Most natural scientists support the long history. However, some people including Richard Milton … support the idea of a short one."
