Zaklog the Great
There's a term that gets thrown around quite a bit these days that, as far as I can tell, describes precisely no one still walking around. This phrase is nothing more than an empty term of abuse. We need to find more accurate, honest ways of talking about these questions.

Chris, Nate and I talk about G.K. Chesterton's poem "A Song of Defeat" with digressions on the state of today's journalism, early twentieth century click-bait, perfectly good terms gathering unfortunate luggage, and the aesthetic qualities of beating one's grandmother to death in the park.

There are two wildly different stories being told these days about sex and what it means and how we should handle it. The advice offered up by Christians and by the secular world could not be more different. And one of them has been lying to you your entire life.

Nate, Louis, and I discuss George Gordon, Lord Byron's poem "Written After Swimming From Sestos to Abydos." Along the way, we cover Byron's general lunatic badassery, why brains AND brawn is better, and holding Byron's beer (in a goblet made from a skull).

Nate, Louis, and I discuss Rudyard Kipling's poem "Hymn Before Action" with diversions into good morality and bad theology, dying an honorable death, and why you shouldn't piss off the British. Also, we'll have to start a petition to have Sabaton perform this as heavy metal.

This is part of a series: Ideas I'd rather not explore. Ideas I don't like, but can't honestly ignore. Uncomfortable thoughts.
It appears to me that promoting higher education for women has some truly disturbing long-term consequences. I'd rather be wrong about this, but let's take a look at the relevant facts.

A performance of "A Political Litany" by Philip Freneau
This poem is political satire of people and events preceding the American Revolutionary War. As such, it references several people and events most aren't aware of today. It would probably be helpful to read over these notes before listening: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bHZzSyo9pjdw8ZAcIKLeyO-d8eKFzjK_

A few months ago, I made a video that asked, Are we ruled by monsters? I'm still not sure, but it seems disturbingly likely. At the end of that video, I said I didn't know how to fight back, how to protect ourselves. After more thought, I have a few suggestions. I hope you find them useful.

"The borrower is slave to the lender."
While this proverb is fairly well-known, I suspect most people consider it a metaphor. I think it is far more literally true than most of us are willing to admit.

Andrew, Nate and I discuss Audie Murphy's poem "Where Has Freedom Gone?" his amazing life, and the nature of freedom.

Not long ago, I was walking through a mall in a major American city and I noticed that, as a white person, I was in a distinct minority. So that inspired a few thoughts about our country and our future.

There are some things guys can only learn through serious physical exertion and competition, especially if they're smart. In fact, sports can be a remedy for failings particular to smart men.
