ZborBall IV

During WW2, after Yugoslavia was invaded, the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina became part of the Independent State of Croatia, the NDH nominally supported a sort of "Integral Croatia" where Muslims and Catholics formed one Croatian national unit. However, Bosnia soon became a battleground between the Croatians, Royalist Yugoslav Chetniks and Communist Partisans. In the crossfire were hit many Bosnian Muslim villages, reprisals from Croats who thought they were aiding Serbs and reprisals from Serbs who thought the Bosniaks were loyal to the Croatian authorities. The most notorious region was the Foča-Goražde-Sandžak region. Which saw mass reprisals against both Orthodox and Muslim civilians, perpetrated by all sides. Many local Muslim militias took part in these reprisals, nominally raised to defend local Muslim villages from both Chetnik and Ustasha attacks. Muslims, however were also found on the side of Croatia and on the side of the Chetniks. These local militia units wished to prevent lawless banditry and chaos that the Croatian authorities couldn't control, and this finally culminated in the forming of the 13th Waffen SS Divison "Handschar" made up mostly of Bosnian Muslims with volunteers from Albania and Catholic Croats as well. The first SS unit to be comprised of non-Germanic volunteers.

Kiše granata Goražde ruše,
Naselja mnoga u vatri plamte
Da braća braći domove pale,
Vjekovi zlo takvo ne pamte.

I da nam nebo zapale
I da nam zemlju razore
Sinovi Drine nikada neće
Puštiti Goražde da pokore...

Goražde plače al suza nema,
Pomaže svatko ne pita tko si
Herojsko mjesto, gladno i žedno
Hrabro se bori, pobjede nosi!

I da nam nebo zapale
I da nam zemlju razore
Sinovi Drine nikada neće
Puštiti Goražde da pokore...

Foča je tužna priča za sebe,
Višegrad rana, što srce slama...
Dušmani piju, ruše i pale
Domove ljudi, bez trunke slama.

I da nam nebo zapale
I da nam zemlju razore
Sinovi Drine nikada neće
Puštiti Goražde da pokore!

The Albanian revolt of 1912 (Albanian: Kryengritja e vitit 1912, "Uprising of 1912"), also known as the Albanian War of Independence, was the last revolt against the Ottoman Empire's rule in Albania and lasted from January until August 1912. The revolt ended when the Ottoman government agreed to fulfill the rebels' demands on 4 September 1912. Generally, Muslim Albanians fought against the Ottomans in the incoming Balkan War.

The Ustaša – Croatian Revolutionary Movement (Croatian: Ustaša – Hrvatski revolucionarni pokret), commonly known as the Ustaše, was a Croatian fascist organization led by Ante Pavelić. The organization existed between 1929 and 1945.

During World War II, it ruled the German and Italy-dependent "Independent State of Croatia" (Croatian: Nezavisna Država Hrvatska, NDH) between 1941–45.

Al salir de España
sola se quedó
llorando mi marcha
la niña de mi amor.

Cuando partía el tren de allí
le dijo así
mi corazón:
Me voy pensando en ti.
Adiós, Lili Marlen.

Aunque la distancia
vive entre los dos
yo siempre me acuerdo
de tu claro sol,

cuando tu carta llega a mi
se alegra así
mi corazón,
pues solo pienso en ti
soñando con tu amor.

Cuando vuelva a España
con mi División,
llenará de flores
mi niña su balcón.

Yo seré entonces tan feliz
que no sabré
más que decir:
Mi amor, Lili Marlen
mi amor es para ti.

Is this a little lazy? maybe, but my last upload was almost two weeks ago and I had to get something out

The two songs are Cara al Sol - ZBOR Version as recorded by Serbian Action and one I've posted beforehand on this channel
And the second is a metal cover of Primavera, the Blue Division song by the Serbian band Iz Revolta.
Both were used by Francoists, but I debated it being either Francoist Songs or Falangist Songs.

This song was written years ago after the 1907 Battle of Drenovo, where Chetniks fought against Bulgarian komitas. In the ensuing battle all but two komitas died and the village was burned down. While from 40 men, only one Chetnik was wounded. This was the last major battle against Serbs and Bulgarians in Macedonia until 1912 and in west Povardarje.

The song "Sprem'te se, Sprem'te" became the Chetnik anthem and was sung with modified lyrics well into WW2 by the JByO

Contrary to popular belief, the SDS and Ravna Gora Movement collaborated often. Draza's original plan was to have the SDS fight the communists while the Chetniks saved as many Serbs as possible from the Croats. Nedic sent ammunition, money and warned Draza of upcoming German counter-attacks

Here it is, longest video I've done so far. There are some graphical mistakes but when you do 6-7 of these in a row you start to slip up.

The Arrow Cross Party was the ruling party of Hungary from 1944 to 1945. It was way more radical than the Horthy Regime, as the party combined elements of Austrofascism and Hungarian Turanism, therefore mixing radical Catholicism with ethnic purity.
The Cross stands for the symbol used by Magyar tribes who settled in ancient Pannonia, as well as the desire to nullify the Trianon Treaty, expanding Hungary in all cardinal directions, to its former borders.
Szálasi became the National Leader (Nemzetvezető) after Germany occupied Hungary when Horthy signed an armistice with the Allies, and was hanged in 1946.

Testvér, elég a szolgaságból!
Leráztuk már a rabbilincset!
Az ősök lelke, szent halottak,
Sorunkba újra harcba jöttek.
Testvér, elég: új harcra föl!
Új rendet vág ezer ököl!
Nem veszhet el több drága vér:
Miénk az ország és kenyér!

This is the new style of videos I had thought of, it could change or we could go back to the old style. I'll let audience reception say what will happen.

Nothing much to say except credit to this channel for the footage: https://www.youtube.com/c/SrpskiDobro...
It's a Serbian channel so non-Serb speakers will be confused.

Na suncu oružje nam blista
I trube sad ori se zvuk,
Po ulici gordo prolazi,
Naš junački Dobrovoljni puk.

Za čast otadžbine napred idemo,
Zastavu pobede smelo dižemo.
Napred, napred drugovi, Srbski dobrovoljci,
Napred, napred drugovi, Kralja Petra borci.

Otvoreni prozori širom
I narod nas rado gleda,
Dobrovoljci slute o sreći
Što će borba već sutra da da.

Za čast otadžbine napred idemo,
Zastavu pobede smelo dižemo.
Napred, napred drugovi, Srbski dobrovoljci,
Napred, napred drugovi, Kralja Petra borci.

A sutra pak čim zora svane,
I trube zaori se zvuk,
Iz grada u borbu odlazi
Naš junački Dobrovoljni puk

Za čast otadžbine napred idemo,
Zastavu pobede smelo dižemo.
Napred, napred drugovi, Srbski dobrovoljci,
Napred, napred drugovi, Kralja Petra borci.

This is technically the first (or one of the first) American songs from WW2

Original ZborBall IV description:
Oh man, doing this one was very simple. I didn't think it would be so short, as I hadn't listened to it fully. But it was surprisingly simple.

Remember Pearl Harbor is an American patriotic march written by Don Reid and Sammy Kaye in the week immediately following the December 7, 1941 attack on the military facilities on the Hawaiian island on Oahu by naval forces of the Japanese navy. Ten days after news of the attacks, Kaye's "Swing and Sway band" was recording the song in New York City, using Kaye's "Glee Club" for vocal harmonies. Although the group performed four takes, the first take was the chosen track for mastering, producer Leonard Joy supervising the recording and Kaye directing. Billboard Magazine announced the song's release in its January 17, 1942 issue. Two weeks later the song was #7 nationally in record sales and #10 in sheet music sales. At years' end the song remained on several top 100 lists. By January 1943, Sammy Kaye had donated $4000 from the song's royalties to Navy Relief funds.

In December 2017, President Donald Trump, honoring veterans of the Pearl Harbor attack in a ceremony at the White House asked the room "Remember Pearl Harbor.' Have you heard that before a couple of times, 'Remember Pearl Harbor?'" One of the veterans, Michael "Mickey" Ganitch, boldly burst out in song, remembering lyrics 75 years old: "Let's remember Pearl Harbor as we go to meet the foe. Let's remember Pearl Harbor, as we did the Alamo. We will always remember how they died for liberty. Let's remember Pearl Harbor, and go on to victory."

History in every century records an act that lives forevermore.
We'll recall, as into line we fall,
The thing that happened on Hawaii's shore.

Let's remember Pearl Harbor
As we go to meet the foe.
Let's remember Pearl Harbor
As we did the Alamo.
We will always remember how they died for Liberty.
Let's remember Pearl Harbor
And go on to victory.

I cut out the sad part because it's the Holiday seasons, and only good vibes around.
"Every Man a King" is a song cowritten by Louisiana's Governor and United States Senator Huey Pierce Long Jr. and Castro Carazo. Long was known for his political slogan "Every man a king," which is also the title of his 1933 autobiography and the catch-phrase of his Share Our Wealth proposal during the Great Depression. The song was co-written in 1935 by Huey Long and Castro Carazo, the band director of Louisiana State University, a former orchestra leader at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans brought to LSU by Long himself.

Why weep or slumber America
Land of brave and true
With castles and clothing and food for all
All belongs to you
Ev'ry man a king ev'ry man a king
For you can be a millionaire
If there's something belonging to others
There's enough for all people to share
When it's sunny June and December too
Or in the winter time or spring
There'll be peace without end
Ev'ry neighbor a friend
With ev'ry man a king

This completes the three Iron Guard songs I was working on.

Venim cîntînd din închisori,

Din crunte lagăre și spini
S'aprind lumini,
S'aprind lumini.....

Prin morții noștri ne-am miruit,
Sfintele cripte cu biruit
Pe jertfe aspre și furtuni
Răsar minuni,
Răsar minuni.....

Din rănile noastre
Cresc glorii de legionari
Și ceruri albastre
S'aprind ca niște flăcări mari.

Din besna cumplită
Din ocna'n care-a suferit
Spre altă ursită
Se'nalță Neamul desrobit!

Dreptatea noastră de granit
A biruit,
A biruit.....

Duhul martirilor eroi
Stă peste noi,
Stă peste noi.....

Cu pieptul ars de grindini și vănt
Tu, Căpitane, trădări ai frînt,
Și mari destine romănești
Tu împlinești.....

Din rănile noastre
Cresc glorii de legionari
Și ceruri albastre
S'aprind ca niște flăcări mari.

Din besna cumplită
Din ocna'n care-a suferit
Spre altă ursită
Se'nalță Neamul desrobit!

The Battle of Albulena, also known as the Battle of Ujëbardha, was fought on 2 September 1457 between Albanian forces led by Skanderbeg and an Ottoman army under Isak bey Evrenoz and Skanderbeg's nephew, Hamza Kastrioti.
On 2 September 1457, Skanderbeg finally gave the order for his armies to regroup and launched a surprise attack on the Ottoman camp, killing and capturing up to 30,000 men. Among them was Hamza who was later sent as a prisoner to Naples in Italy.

The victory strengthened the morale of the Albanians. There were few, if not any, officers and soldiers who deserted afterwards. The battle of Albulena has been seen as Skanderbeg's most brilliant victory over the Ottomans.

Albulena, prap mor prita, prita

Marr ushtrin o, prap qe e morri ika

Corpul Muncitoresc Legionar or Corpul Muncitorilor Legionari (CML, the Legionary Worker Corps or Legionary Workers' Corps) was a fascist association of workers in Romania, created inside the Iron Guard (which was originally known as the Legionary Movement) and having a rigid hierarchical structure. From its creation until September 1940, the CML was led by Gheorghe Clime; afterwards, the position was filled by Dumitru Groza, who oversaw the Corps during the period when the Iron Guard was in power — the National Legionary State —, and involved it in the 1941 Rebellion and Pogrom. The CML had its headquarters in Bucharest, on Calea Călăraşilor.

În trudă ne-am zbătut şi-n umilinţă,
Tiranii pâinea ne-au luat...
Destul ne-am încleştat în suferinţă,
Cu neamu-ntreg am sângerat!
Din greu şi aspru vuiet de ciocane,
Încovoiaţi de foame şi nevoi,
Din zgură de furnale şi cazane
Flămânzi de ridicăm şi goi.

La luptă, muncitori!
Veniţi, Legiunea ne-adună
La luptă, muncitori!
Veniţi în crâncena furtună!
La luptă, muncitori!
Zidari de veacuri viitoare,
Cu frunţile în soare
Ne-nălţăm biruitori!

Pentru dreptatea noastră legionară
Şi pentru-ntregul neam sărac,
Din fulger vom clădi o nouă ţară
Pe nicovale mari de veac!
Ca viforul vom trece prin prigoane,
Marin şi Moţa ne veghează-n cer...
Din jertfe şi din trăsnet de ciocane
Ne-om făuri destin de fier!

PS: There's also a second verse that is not featured in this recording:

"Din fabrici, din uzine şi din mină,
Din toiul beznelor adânci,
Am izbucnit, năprasnic, spre lumină
Ca o năvală grea de stânci
Călcăm cu paşi de flăcări spre dreptate!
Pe drum de foc şi cer izbăvitor!
Un clocot sfânt în pieptul nostru bate,
S-aprind pe umeri aurori..."

The Italian Social Movement was founded in 1946 by former soldiers and politicians of the Italian Social Republic, It did fairly well with 56 seats in the Italian parliament and 26 in the Senate in 1972. The party peaked at 240.000 members but was dissolved in 1995.
The MSI was the successor to the PNF under Mussolini and after 1995 merged to form the National Alliance. A split in the party gave birth to Fiamma Tricolore.

Siamo nati in un cupo tramonto
di rinuncia, vergogna, dolore,
siamo nati in un atto d’onore
riscattando l’altrui disonor.

Siamo nati nel nome d’Italia
stretti intorno alla nostra bandiera,
è rinata con noi primavera
si è riaccesa una fiamma nel cuor.

Italia! Sorgi a nuova vita,
così vuole chi per te morì,
chi il suo sangue donò,
chi il nemico affrontò,
giustizia alla Patria darà.

Italia! Rasserena il volto,
abbi fede, nostro è l’avvenir.
Risorgi! Risorgi, o Italia,
si ridesta la tua gioventù.

Noi saremo la vostra avanguardia,
Italiani, coraggio, in cammino,
solo ai forti sorride il destino,
liberate la Patria e il Lavor!

Noi saremo la fiamma d’Italia
il germoglio di un alba trionfale,
la valanga impetuosa che sale,
Italiani, coraggio, con noi!

The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA; Albanian: Ushtria Çlirimtare e Kosovës), UÇK) was an ethnic-Albanian separatist militia that sought the separation of Kosovo from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) and Serbia during the 1990s and the eventual creation of Greater Albania due to the presence of a vast ethnic majority of Albanians in the region, stressing Albanian culture, ethnicity and nation. It was considered a terrorist group until the breakup of Yugoslavia.

Military precursors to the KLA began in the late 1980s with armed resistance to Yugoslav police trying to take Albanian activists in custody. By the early 1990s there were attacks on police forces and secret-service officials who abused Albanian civilians. By mid-1998 the KLA was involved in frontal battle though it was outnumbered and outgunned. Conflict escalated from 1997 onward due to the Yugoslavian army retaliating with a crackdown in the region which resulted in violence and population displacements. The bloodshed, ethnic cleansing of thousands of Albanians driving them into neighbouring countries and the potential of it to destabilize the region provoked intervention by international organizations, such as the United Nations, NATO and INGOs. NATO supported the KLA and intervened on its behalf in March 1999.

The Government of National Salvation (Serbian: Влада народног спаса, romanized: Vlada narodnog spasa, (VNS); German: Regierung der nationalen Rettung), also referred to as Nedić's government (Недићева влада, Nedićeva vlada) and Nedić's regime (Недићев режим, Nedićev režim), was the second Serbian collaborationist puppet government (after the Commissioner Government) established on the German-occupied territory of Serbia during World War II. Appointed by the German Military Commander in Serbia, it operated from 29 August 1941 to 4 October 1944. Unlike the Independent State of Croatia, the regime in the occupied Serbia was never accorded status in international law and did not enjoy formal diplomatic recognition on the part of the Axis powers.

The regime was tolerated by many Serbs and even actively supported by a part of the population, and was unpopular with a majority of Serbs who supported one of the two factions which at first were perceived as connected to the Allied Powers, the Yugoslav Partisans or the royalist Chetniks. The Prime Minister throughout was General Milan Nedić. The Government of National Salvation was evacuated from Belgrade through Budapest to Kitzbühel in the first week of October 1944 before the German withdrawal from Serbia was complete.

Што су тебе увредила;

The Second Vienna Award, also known as the Vienna Diktat, was the second of two territorial disputes that were arbitrated by Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. On 30 August 1940, they assigned the territory of Northern Transylvania, including all of Maramureș and part of Crișana, from Romania to Hungary.

Elhangzott a szó, zeng az induló!
Győztesek megint: régi zászlaink.
Nézd a gúnyhatár
Széttiporva már!
Várnak újra mind, ősi bérceink!

Édes Erdély itt vagyunk!
Érted élünk és halunk.
Győz a szittya fergeteg: a rohanó sereg.

Édes Erdély itt vagyunk!
Érted élünk és halunk.
Győz a szittya förgeteg: a rohanó sereg.

Lépteink nyomán, fönn a Hargitán,
Völgyeinkben lent tornyok hangja zeng.
Már semerre sincs: az átkozott bilincs.
Énekeljetek, völgyek és hegyek:

Édes Erdély itt vagyunk!
Érted élünk és halunk.
Győz a szittya fergeteg: a rohanó sereg.

Édes Erdély itt vagyunk!
Érted élünk és halunk.
Győz a szittya fergeteg: a rohanó sereg.

The Slovene Home Guard (Slovene: Slovensko domobranstvo, SD; German: Slowenische Landeswehr) was a Slovene anti-Partisan military organization that was active during the 1943–1945 German occupation of the formerly Italian-occupied Province of Ljubljana. It consisted of former Village Sentries (Slovene: Vaške straže; Italian: Guardia Civica), part of Italian-sponsored Anti-Communist Volunteer Militia, re-organized under Nazi command after the Italian Armistice.

It was closely linked to Slovenian right wing anti-Communist political parties and organizations, which provided most of the membership, taking assistance of Germans rather than the opposite. In the Slovenian Littoral, a similar but much smaller unit, called Slovenian National Defense Corps (Slovene: Slovensko narodno varnostni zbor, German: Slowenisches Nationales Schutzkorps), more commonly known as the Littoral Home Guard (Slovene: Primorsko domobranstvo) was ideologically and organizationally linked to the SD. An even smaller Upper Carniolan Self-Defense (Slovene: Gorenjska samozaščita, German: Oberkrainer Landschutz), also known as the Upper Carniolan Home Guard (Slovene: Gorenjsko domobranstvo) was active in Upper Carniola between 1944 and 1945. All three "home guard" units were formed almost exclusively of ethnic Slovenes. At their peak, they had a combined membership of around 21,000 men, of whom there were 15,000 in the Province of Ljubljana, 3,500 in the Julian March and 2,500 in Upper Carniola. Its officers and language of command were Slovene

Oče, mati, bratje in sestre,
koče, mesta, trate in steze,
holmi, skale večnega snega:
to je moja domovina!

Zdrava bodi moja lepa domovina,
moja lepa domovina!
Prva pesem mladih sončnih dni,
varovanka fantove moči,
kres, ki sega meni do neba:
to je moja domovina!

Zemlja rodna moja je tako,
da, če treba, bil se bom za njo.
Zadnja kaplja mojega srca:
to je moja domovina!

The First Slovak Republic, commonly referred to as the "Slovak State", was a country from 1939, with its declaration of "independence" after the invasion of Czechoslovakia, until 1945, when the Red Army occupied its entire territory.

PS: "Tatra": The Tatra Mountains, a part of the Carpathian mountain range in Eastern Europe, create a natural border between Slovakia and Poland.

Svoju zem si l'ubime, nepriatel'ov zlomime

Pravda rodu Slovenskemu vybojujeme

Rež a rubaj do krve! Ne bude to po prve
Dokial Slovak na Slovensku panom ne bude!

The Nasjonal Samling "National Gathering" was a Norwegian Fascist political party active from 1933-1945.
Strong belief in Norse Paganism, Romantic nationalism and totalitarianism dominated NS ideology. It also relied heavily on Nordic symbolism, using Vikings, pre-Christian religion and runes in its propaganda and speeches. It asserted that its symbol, a golden sun cross on a red background (colours of the coat of arms of Norway), had been the symbol of St. Olaf, painted on his shield.
It failed to get any parliamentary seats, but it did nominally lead the Norwegian occupied government during WW2.

Norge Vĺrt Land, Du Hvis Fremtid Er Vĺr,
Du Fedrene Jord Langt Nord.
Til Vern Om Din Frihet I Fylking Vi Gĺr,
Og Skaper En Reisning Stor.

For Deg Vi Idag Stĺr Beredt!
Vĺrt Folk Skal Igjen Bli Ett.
En Samlet Nasjon Er Det Mĺl Vi Vil
Selv Om Livet Skal Settes Pĺ Spill.
Refr. (Synges En Gang):

Fram Til Kamp, Norges Ungdomsskare,
Til Kamp Under Solkors flagg,
For Vĺrt Fedreland Er I Fare
Og Trenger Deg Ennĺ I dag.

Kom Da. Med Fra By, Fra Bygd Og Fjord,
Fra Hver Flekk Hvor Det Nordmenn Bor.
Slutt Deg Til, Du Som Vil Forsvare
Vĺr Heim Og Vĺr Odelsjord.
