This is a silly idea I came up with when thinking about AI videos. The quotes are from the now defunct "NotJordanPeterson" speech synthesizing AI. I did some audio editing/enhancement and added video clips and dramatic music.

A parody of the Glassphones infomercial that Alek Minassian (the Toronto Van attacker) made when he was in college.

I talk about Chris Chan's incest charges and how I think autism, bad parenting, bullying, and poor socialization helped lead her to this point.

Chris Chan (aka Christine Weston Candler) was recently arrested and charged with incest after a phone call and text messages were leaked that reveal she had sex with her elderly mother, who has dementia.

Alek Minassian's NCR defense hinges on how much his autism affects his ability to understand other people. I explain some of the challenges people with autism have and how I think they've affected him.

Alek Minassian clearly understood what he was doing was morally wrong because that was part of his motivation for carrying out Toronto’s worst mass killing, a forensic psychiatrist testified Friday.

“That, in fact, is part of the calculation. He was going to morally outrage people. This is part of how he become famous, by doing something that people will recognize as a horrible, horrific act,” said Dr. Scott Woodside, explaining his opinion that Minassian is criminally responsible. “You have to do the worst thing, the most pain... his degree of infamy depends on that.”

Minassian had been fantasizing about mass murder for years, and when he could no longer see hope for his future, he rented a van and weeks later set out to run down many people as possible and then be killed by police, Woodside said. On April 23, 2018, Minassian killed 10 people, injured 16 more and sent waves of trauma through Toronto.

Minassian, 28, is seeking to be found not criminally responsible for the murder and attempted murder of 26 people. He is arguing that his autism spectrum disorder rendered him unable to know what he did was morally wrong. There are no Canadian cases in which a not criminally responsible defence has been raised involving the sole diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

The key defence witness, forensic psychiatrist Dr. Alexander Westphal testified that Minassian’s autism spectrum disorder has caused him to have a “substantial defect in social development” and lack of empathy, which in turn means his ability to morally reason and understand moral wrongfulness is affected by his inability to take the perspectives of other people. Westphal concluded Minassian saw other people as “objects.”

Woodside, however, said this is a high-level view of moral reasoning that most people don’t normally do — in day-to-day life we just follow the rules and laws automatically, including the most universal rule: don’t kill other people.

And while Minassian does lack empathy and some ability to feel the emotions of other people, he has the intellectual capacity to work through moral decisions and has shown some ability to take the perspectives of other people, Woodside said. Minassian himself said he consciously chose to block out thoughts that would have stopped him from carrying out the attack — selfishly focusing only on his own goal and ignoring the consequences to anyone else, Woodside said.

Also, don't be racist!

Alek Minassian has pled Not Criminally Responsible (NCR) to the Toronto Van Attack. I explain what an NCR defense is and how the process works. I also explain what Minassian's NCR defense is based on, and how it differs from conventional NCR defenses.

Lastly, I examine some of the claims made by one of the defense experts (Dr. Alexander Westphal), and some of the reactions from autism advocacy groups.

This is the first in a series of videos I'm making about the trial of Alek Minassian.

It took more than an hour for the prosecutor to read through the gruesome details of the route the 25-year-old took on April 23, 2018, as he drove a rental van down the sidewalk of Toronto’s busy Yonge Street, killing eight women and two men and seriously injuring 16 others, in the city’s worst mass killing.

None of those details are disputed. Mr. Minassian admits that he killed those people, and that he planned what is now known as “the Toronto van attack.”

The remainder of the trial – which is being held virtually as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic – will focus on Mr. Minassian’s state of mind at the time.

Maybe returning to monke isn't the best idea after all...

Dr. Alexander Westphal, a critical witness for the defense in the Minassian trial, intimidated the court into sealing a video assessment that he did. I explain and analyze what happened.

*
With what she called “a gun to her head,” Superior Court Justice Anne Molloy made the unprecedented and extraordinary decision on Friday to proactively seal video recordings of Alek Minassian being interviewed by an American forensic psychiatrist who refused to testify if the recordings would be released to the public.

“Sealing exhibits that don’t even exist yet, that I have not even seen in advance in order to secure his testimony is offensive,” said Molloy. “That said I am going to do it.”

Though it was tantamount to paying a ransom to a kidnapper, Molloy said the alternative would mean denying Minassian a fair trial for the first-degree murder of 10 people and the attempted murder of 16.

Minassian had admitted to renting a van and intending to kill all his victims as he ran them down on the Yonge St. sidewalk on April 23, 2018.

He is advancing a defence of not criminally responsible, arguing his autism spectrum disorder rendered him incapable of understanding his acts were morally wrong.

Dr. Alexander Westphal, a forensic psychiatrist specializing in autism spectrum disorder, is expected to provide critical testimony. In a brief section of his report read by the Crown last week, Westphal opined that Minassian’s “autistic way of thinking was severely distorted similar to psychosis.”

That comment and the broader defence have been criticized by the autism community for falsely promoting negative stereotypes about the developmental disorder which is not associated with violence.

Westphal, a faculty member at the Yale School of Medicine, is based in the U.S. and cannot be easily compelled to testify by a Canadian court, Molloy said, noting that she had once ordered the police to pick up an expert who had refused to come to court and would do so again if needed.

A celebration of life and beauty.

Song: As the Morning Light Shines Through - Far Cry 5 Soundtrack

Like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but Canadian.

Two blood-covered, chainsaw-wielding men emerged from the bushes of a popular public park in Toronto on Sunday morning, where witnesses say they screamed at, followed, and even lunged toward strangers while revving their deadly tools.

It's not the kind of thing you see very often in a large Canadian city... or anywhere outside of a horror movie, for that matter.

And yet, Toronto Police confirmed that two people were arrested and two others injured yesterday when a "large group of people were in a physical altercation" involving at least one chainsaw near Toronto's Cherry Beach.

Despite the fast and heavy police response, people who frequent the beautiful beach and recreational trail are expressing concerns over how unsafe the area has become lately.

Some are blaming the incident on growing tent encampments, which exist not only near Cherry Beach but all over the City of Toronto amid a global pandemic and homelessness crisis.

Others are calling out the late night, rave-style parties Cherry Beach is known for — events which have been taking place peacefully for more than a decade without incident.

Other still are linking the wild chainsaw situation to more recent large gatherings in the area, one of which made headlines in June thanks to photos of large crowds and and other pandemic restriction violations.

Jessica Yaniv's crimes and depravity, set to the tune of Aerosmith's "Dude Looks Like a Lady". I know, just what you've always wanted!

This was inspired by the montage from Mrs. Doubtfire where the same song plays. RIP Robin Williams.

I feel like the video has too many clips from the Blair White interview, but there were so many perfect moments in it, and I didn't want to watch hours of Jessica Yaniv interviews to get a greater variety of clips of her saying the same things. Also, Blair White is hilarious, and Jessica Yaniv being criticized by another trans woman helps make my point.

I support trans rights and the trans community, but I believe Jessica Yaniv is poisoning the well for everyone. One of the classic right-wing arguments against trans rights is that transgender people are all sexual predators who want to gain access to female spaces, and Jessica Yaniv literally is that.

As you'll see in the video, many of Yaniv's words, mannerisms, and behaviours are flamboyantly male, hence "Dude Looks Like a Lady". She also demonstrated to the BC Human Rights Tribunal, in stereotypically male fashion, that she didn't know what a vulva was (despite claiming to have one).

Hopefully, we'll get more justice and her days of frivolous lawsuits will soon be at an end.

Some videos of the Westgate Mall shooting, taken during and after the attack.

Added some video and audio fixes. The part that talks about him being an incel is at 5:59 - 6:59.
