Michael Eric Dyson said he doesn't believe that small groups of people who are intolerant to change can impact others. Nassim Taleb discusses the "Minority Rule" in his latest book "Skin in the Game". I show studies and talk about Nassim Taleb's minority rule to demonstrate that the percentage of the population trying to affect change is much less important than their unwillingness to compromise.

Camille Paglia speaks with Jordan Peterson about what she believes is one of the primary issues with University Departments, and Women's Studies.

I have been fighting a flu-bug for about a week, and today is the first day that I am feeling quite a bit better. I should have a more regular video with commentary up on Thursday. Thanks for watching.

Jordan Peterson has a message. Too often, the time taken by many to criticize him - and the time taken by him to defend himself - distracts many from what he is really trying to say.

I have been a little ill, but should be back to 'normal' in the next day or two. This video doesn't have commentary either, but I wanted to put something up that wasn't as 'argumentative', and perhaps could be seen as more inspirational. I am not a religious person at all, but Jordan Peterson's message of self-responsibility, of working together, of being the best person you can be, and picking yourself up out of suffering is not a negative point of view in any way.

Thomas Sowell speaks about Diversity, Multiculturalism and Cultural Appropriation - long before they were seen as dominating the narrative from the radical left to the extent they do today.

Diversity is all around us, and doesn't need government policies mandating it's implemention. Cultures of sucessful societies exchange information, and adopt better systems, while discarding those of little use. Isolating cultures and being afraid to say that certain cultural characteristics are better than others is harmful and costly. Throughout history, cultures have been different.

No commentary today, as unfortunately, I am 'under the weather' and have almost no voice (which may be better for many).

Brendan O'Neill weighs in identity politics, and how they serve to separate, segregate and divide. What's being lost - as the discussion divides us all into smaller and smaller groups - is that public policy based on individual freedom, and access to opportunity, can bring everyone together. This should be so simple to understand - and yet those who bring it up are labelled and discredited.

Tommy Robinson has had many issues in the past. He has struggled to criticize ideas, while separating himself from those who simply want to be critical of a group of people.

He has been arrested, detained, vilified in the media and discredited with various slurs. If we separate ideas from people, and have real conversations, we can see that there is validity in much of what Tommy Robinson is concerned about. He also has support from some in the Muslim community who follow Islam.

Discrediting Tommy Robinson as a bigot will serve to strengthen the actual ethno-nationalists that he has tried so hard to distance himself from.

Two more articles critical of Jordan Peterson came out today. Critical analysis and disagreement are fine. More and more, however, the critics seem to repeat the same idea, that Jordan Peterson was completely incorrect about the free speech issue in Canada surrounding Bill C-16. Jordan Peterson, it is stated, is either foolish or has intentionally misrepresented the danger to induce fear and division.

In this video, I try to explain - in simple terms (once terms are defined) - how Jordan Peterson was correct, and remains correct in his concern that failure to use words as required by a government agent can lead to incarceration.

The fact that the Criminal Code of Canada does not directly state this is irrelevant. An understanding of Human Rights Codes, their Commissions and Tribunals, along with the Federal equivalent is needed.

At the 2018 Munk Debate, Jordan Peterson is quoted by Michelle Goldberg. When Jordan Peterson states "I didn't say that", an opportunity for asking questions, open dialogue and civil discourse was available. Unfortunately, this wasn't taken.

It is difficult to expect a massive audience to go out and independently verified something - when the person you are accusing of something is sitting right beside you. The misquote and misrepresentation of Jordan Peterson's statements during an interview were clarified months ago. It's a shame we have to go through this again...but "trying to throw a lot of mud in the hopes that some of it sticks" seems to be a common tactic against Jordan Peterson as of late.

Jordan Peterson and Michael Dyson were on opposite sides of a debate (The Munk Debate - link below), where Michael Eric Dyson brought up Jordan Peterson's race while insulting him.

At a later point in the debate, this was revisited by Michael Dyson. He attempted to explain his reasoning for bringing up race, and I have quoted him verbatim in order to try and understand his justification.

PS: Jordan Peterson and Stephen Fry won the debate over Michelle Goldbreg and Michael Dyson

Jordan Peterson is angry and frustrated with how far some ‘journalists’ and critics will go to discredit and misrepresent him. He understands why they are using these tactics, and vehemently disagrees with many who are on the radical side of politics…including both those that consider themselves on the Left – or the Right.

This is a 'lighter' video showing various clips of what Jordan Peterson perceives as being highly sought after by women...in both careers and partners.

Jordan Peterson has come under heavy criticism as of late, from NBC hit-pieces, the Cathy Newman fiasco, and articles claiming that he is Alt-Right, anti-semitic - or worse.

Jordan Peterson's every word is listened to carefully, and often misrepresented or used against him without listening to his overall message. Jordan Peterson, like each of us, is first a person - and he has many sides, thoughts, opinions and ideas. Two of these clips show a playful, humorous side to Jordan Peterson, and some insight into how he generally is when not being scrutinized so closely.

I am working on other (more serious) videos, but thought this would be fun - and insightful - to post.

Perhaps one of the greatest failings by those who consider themselves on the Left, is the inability to disagree with parts of a narrative without rejecting it entirely. Whether it is in politics, in the media, or on campuses - the fear of critiquing any part of a viewpoint stop any critique from taking place. In addition, those that disagree are given labels, discredited and misrepresented. This inability - to recognize valid disagreement and the avoidance to self-critique - is a failure of the Left that the Right hopes will continue.

Helena Cronin and Simon Baron Cohen argue that research and evidence clearly indicates that biological differences between men and women are real....and account for real differences in the real world. Social forces are equally important - but not exclusive in what shapes men's and women's behaviours and attitudes.

It is only through acknowledging this, that men and women will be able to work together, towards more equitable and just public policies and goals.

Jordan Peterson has long pointed out that equality of outcome is not a suitable goal if you have the best interests of people in mind.
Equal Pay Day just passed on April 10th - and this video looks at Jordan Peterson's claim, along with those that oppose his view. Equal opportunities and real equality have to allow for the possibility for people to choose various options based on their interests. The #EqualPayDay movement is misleading today - as it conflates the raw wage gap with discrimination. We can work toward what's best for both men and women by altering work patterns to allow for greater flexibility for those looking to balance work and home priorities. Equal opportunities and greater options to choose meaningful, high-paying work is a far better goal than simply attacking the "Gender Wage Gap".

I have always considered myself to be a "Liberal", but now I just can't seem to find a valid description for what I stand for. Extreme Right and Extreme Left positions are just outrageous, and it seems like the Extreme Left is more outrageous than anyone. We need common sense, rationality and solid, civil arguments back. People don't have the right to NOT be offended. People have to realize that they need to be strong enough to get past things that may be offensive, and understand how absolutely imperative that is when living together in society. To be critical of ideas, some MUST be offended. Without open dialogue, we can only disagree without any understanding. To disagree without discussion leads to segregation and violence. Allow yourself to be offended, and engage in actual discourse! Peace!
