On Wednesday 10th August 2022, my youngest son and I spent a wonderful afternoon at one of our favourite swimming spots. It was unusual to have the Urchin Pool to ourselves because ever since the lockdown more and more people have discovered it and on our previous visit it was too crowded for comfort. The best way to discover the location is like most people do; they discover it while out for a walk along the cliffs and they see people swimming in it. This is exactly what happened while my son and I were down there; an aunty, a mammy and her three children were out for a walk when they spotted us from the cliff edge and decided to come down get a closer look. They couldn’t get over how clear the water was and how beautiful and inviting the Urchin Pool looked, they discussed going back to their camper van to get their togs. The main road is about 30 minutes walk away, so I advised them that by the time they got back the pool would be gone for the rest of the day as the tide was coming in and there was about 20 minutes of tranquillity left before the waves came rolling in. They jumped in in their underwear. We’d had our fill of fun, so we gave them the pool to themselves and lent them our goggles so they could have a good look around (my underwater fisheye camera really doesn’t do it justice). Afterwards they couldn’t stop thanking us for helping them make some happy memories. Our brief exchange and mutual appreciation for the beauty of the Urchin Pool really added to the sense of euphoria I felt; it’s just a beautiful feeling to connect with complete strangers, they really loved the place.

So if you know where it’s located, by all means share it with your close friends and family, but don’t go blabbing about it to everyone in the comments section.....be seeing you.

On Saturday night, 28th May 2022, I was standing at my door when I saw a fox cub strolling up my garden path. I assumed that the fox was heading to my water feature for a drink as it is a popular watering hole for the local foxes. The day before we had a family gathering and my niece was excited to tell me that she had seen a fox cub come into the garden and run out again; I told her that he was probably coming in for a drink, but got a bit of a fright with all the children running around. so when I saw the cub i decided to get out my phone and film it having a drink to send it on to my brother to show her. However, when I went outside there was no sign of the fox, but I could hear a crunching noise coming from the hedge, so I went over to investigate.

Much to my surprise I discovered the fox cub hidden in the hedge and snacking on an enormous rat. I have seen an adult fox eat a rat before; it played with it like a cat would play with a mouse, but with the purpose of breaking the rat's bones before devouring it whole, head first. The cub, being much smaller than an adult, was tearing it up and eating it piece by piece. Now the curious thing is that the fox didn't have the rat in it's mouth when it came into the garden, it had actually stashed the rat there two days before and when it had had its fill it buried the rat again to finish off later.

Saturday, 5 March 2022, and the Irish Freedom Party (IFP) came to Limerick City for a meet up on Bedford Row. Of course not everyone was happy about them exercising their freedom of speech and those hateful harpies in Limerick Against Fascism (a front for the Socialist Party) organised a protest to try and silence the IFP speakers. Gay black activist, Kevin Sharkey, was supposed to speak, but cancelled at the last minute and it is believed that he had been intimidated by threats from the far left.

Even though she said that she was delighted with my last video, Mary Cahillane Vallely, aka Ní Ghoilla Mhuire MB, aka Maire Ní Cathalláin, aka Ní Cathalláin Maire, aka Mary Cahillane, aka Mary Vallely (I think that’s all of them) is very unhappy with it and is commenting everywhere and anywhere online that it’s not true that she is an administrator of Limerick Against Fascism, which is very odd because as you will see in this video, she actually stated that she is an administrator when complementing my video on Bedford Row....”we’re all administrators Cathal” she said to me.

My video "Elisa Lies: The Hypocrisy & Mendacity of Councillor Elisa O’Donavan," which was blocked in Ireland (unless you have a VPN) by YouCantSayThatTube following a false defamation claim made by Councillor O'Donovan's "expensive solicitor" friend, who would have had to lie in order to get it blocked in Ireland. I submitted an appeal in July 2020, but have yet to hear back from the censorious tech giant. Thankfully the video can still be viewed on the following free speech platforms:

Saturday, 11th September 2021: David O'Reilly explains the concept of free speech to those assembled at the Ennis Rally for Freedom, including a group of young hecklers who had been duped into counter protesting the event by the pajama-clad Facebook trolls of "Limerick Against Fascism;" they must have felt extra stupid after Rachael got up to sing. Antifa in Limerick go by the name “Limerick Against Fascism,” they are run by the Socialist Party and like to spend their time trolling on Facebook posting lies in a vain attempt to incite hatred and violence against those they disagree with. They are not actually against fascism as this video explains.
