In the past I've also uploaded songs just to see what people think, but they were lacking in the video part because I'd just record my screen with the song playing in my DAW.
This time I decided to try making an actual music video.
It started as just a good opportunity to get creative with editing/FX & make use of some of the hours of video I have in the archive.
But after a certain point I realized I wasn't going to do a fast video, but I wanted to actually try and make something people might find interesting.
I hope at the very least you will find it interesting, and maybe you'll like the song too.
I know the music itself isn't everyone's thing, and I don't even know how to describe the song.
I imagine this song playing during the closing shots & credits at the end of dramatic-thriller film.
The song is called Somber because that's the emotion/tone I think it evokes.
Please let me know what you think of both the song and the video.
I tried to make this a showcase of what a relative amateur can do with free and open-source software on Linux.

Odysee is a live streaming and video content alternative to Youtube.
Built on LBRY using blockchain & crypto the platform aims to be a viable alternative to Youtube, and is focused on free-speech & being censorship resistant.

My first-time look at Pop!_OS 22.04 from System76 that features it's very own Cosmic Desktop along with lots of other features.

First recording in the new studio!

A Dell Precision M4700 workstation laptop that's a bit old, but still an awesome piece of hardware.
Paired with the Aver Media LiveGamer Portable 2 Plus capture card, and a GoPro Hero 8 plus a Rode Video-Micro.

All so I can test Pop_OS! on real hardware.
