► Lyrics:

Close your eyes and sleep
Ignore all the burdens that you keep
Come whatever may
They could never harm you anyway

Stirrings in the wind
Resonates a whisper from within
Warnings from afar
Telling you to heed the Morning Star

Waking from The Dream
Witnessing the smoke that's rolling in
The end is what you fear
The scent of embers lingers in the air

It`s like a web
There is no escape from
It’s got you trapped
And you long for freedom
Every wish, every dream was granted
Never knowing what they demanded
You see the wall how it's getting higher
You want to fight but you're all divided
It’s not a world everyone can thrive in
Is this the world we were meant to grown in?
Somebody tell me where are we going?

A brave new World will Rise
If We do not act upon its Lies
Hold your tongues No More
Learn from All The Ones who came before

Catch the Wind and fight the Storm
Through the Fury We're holding on
Take your Time but not too long
Make it worth the Time you own
You woke a Fire Inside of Me
Fanned the Flame and made it Breathe
You woke a Fire Inside of Me
Inside of Me
Inside of Me...

Title: Change
Artist: Poets of the Fall
Album: Twilight Theater (2010)

====Lyrics====

You say you feel a chill in the season
Like something is falling apart
You say you can't hold it together much longer
And I should look after your heart

But I feel a change coming on
Rolling out of the blue like a storm
And it's bending your will like a willow tree twisting
Trying to regain its form

How does it make you feel
When you remember the times the two us lay here
In the arms of the world
On the doorstep of heaven shining down

Do you feel a change coming on
Rolling out of the blue like a storm
And it's throwing your dollhouse world in disarray
So you can rebuild or conform

How I wish you'd only see
How your own choices make your dream
Come out shining true before it can leave you
I wish that you could see
How your own choices make your dream
Come out shining true all around you

My worth is the look in your eyes
My prize the smile playing tricks on your lips
And I wonder again
Do you ever dream of the world like I do

I too fear the change coming on
Rolling out of the blue like a storm
Can you hear it scream
At the hurt that I knew

How I wish you'd only see
How your own choices make your dream
Come out shining true before it can leave you
I wish that you could see
How your own choices make your dream
Come out shining true all around you

What is this chill at my heel
That makes the protections I've built around my pseudo world premiere
Tearing my utopian fiction apart
As it happens to just pass along

I feel a change coming on
Rolling out of the blue like a storm
Crashing against my delirious thoughts
Where humanity's waiting alone

How I wish you'd only see
How your own choices make your dream
Come out shining true before it can leave you

How I wish you'd only see
How your own choices make your dream
Come out shining true before it can leave you
I wish that you could see
How your own choices make your dream
Come out shining true all around you

Title: Impostor
Artist: Red
Album: Of Beauty and Rage (2015)

====Lyrics====

It’s coming undone, this world that I made
I feel it descending now
The place that I run, or what I run from
The boundary begins to fade

Every word’s a trap to your lies
Every life you try to save dies
You hold the truth like a knife
You couldn’t leave it behind

You’re my impostor
I’m a shadow lost deep inside

Now how does it feel, as you crawl away
The damage you left for me
I drink from your gaze, a new masquerade
I feel your disease growing

You need a villain to save
You left me here in my grave
You came and took it away
This innocence that I cannot replace

Tell me that you were never real
You need another soul to steal
You’re my impostor
You tell me you were never really real

Impostor, my impostor
Impostor, impostor

Tell me that you were never real
You need another soul to steal
You’re my impostor
You tell me you were never really real

Title: Black Hole Sun
Artist: Soundgarden
Album: Superunknown (1994)

====Lyrics====

In my eyes
Indisposed
In disguise
As no one knows
Hides the face
Lies the snake
And the sun
In my disgrace

Boiling heat
Summer stench
'Neath the black
The sky looks dead
Call my name
Through the cream
And I'll hear you
Scream again

[Chorus:]
Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain?
Black hole sun
Won't you come?
Won't you come?

Stuttering
Cold and damp
Steal the warm wind
Tired friend
Times are gone
For honest men
And sometimes
Far too long
For snakes

In my shoes
A walking sleep
And my youth
I pray to keep
Heaven send
Hell away
No one sings
Like you anymore

[Chorus 2x]

(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)

Hang my head
Drown my fear
'Til you all just disappear

[Chorus 2x]

(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
(Black hole sun,
Black hole sun)
Won't you come?
Won't you come?
Won't you come?

Title: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked
Artist: Cage the Elephant
Album: Cage The Elephant (2009)

====Lyrics====

(He was a)
(You know it)
(He was a)

I was walkin' down the street
When out the corner of my eye
I saw a pretty little thing approaching me
She said, "I never seen a man
Who looked so all alone
Oh, could you use a little company?

And if you pay the right price
Your evening will be nice
And you can go and send me on my way"
I said, "You're such a sweet young thing
Why you do this to yourself?"
She looked at me and this is what she said

"Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked
Money don't grow on trees
I got bills to pay
I got mouths to feed
And ain't nothing in this world for free
Oh no, I can't slow down
I can't hold back
Though you know I wish I could
Oh, no, there ain't no rest for the wicked
Until we close our eyes for good"

Not even 15 minutes later
I'm still walkin' down the street
When I saw the shadow of a man creep out of sight
And then he swept up from behind
He put a gun up to my head
He made it clear he wasn't lookin' for a fight

He said, "Give me all you got
I want your money not your life
But if you try to make a move I won't think twice"
I told him, "You can have my cash
But first you know I gotta ask
What made you wanna live this kind of life?"
He said

"There ain't no rest for the wicked
Money don't grow on trees
I got bills to pay
I got mouths to feed
And ain't nothing in this world for free
No, I can't slow down
I can't hold back
Though you know I wish I could
Oh, no, there ain't no rest for the wicked
Until we close our eyes for good"

Well, now a couple hours passed
And I was sitting in my house
The day was winding down and coming to an end
So I turned to the TV
And flipped it over to the news
And what I saw I almost couldn't comprehend

I saw a preacher man in cuffs
He'd taken money from the church
He'd stuffed his bank account with righteous dollar bills
But even still I can't say much
Because I know we're all the same
Oh, yes we all seek out to satisfy those thrills

You know there ain't no rest for the wicked
Money don't grow on trees
We got bills to pay
We got mouths to feed
And ain't nothing in this world for free
No we can't slow down
We can't hold back
Though you know we wish we could
No there ain't no rest for the wicked
Until we close our eyes for good

Video for "The Old Lady of the Woodland" by Quantafide [Subtitled]
Narrative is a short excerpt from the forthcoming epic novel, 'The Infinitude Of The Singularity - The Screamin' Skull Trilogy' by Jack Grant.
Listen to more Quantafide/Jack Grant on Soundcloud at https://soundcloud.com/quantafide/tracks

Lyrics:
Something stirs in the undergrowth
The wind howls between the trees
I can see it more clearly now
The mystery remains with me

Narrative:

It's cold and dark outside. The air is rich with the fragrance of rotting mulch, which is trampled underfoot, as the trees discard their decaying leaves as commanded by the natural law of the autumn fall.

My garden backs onto woodland; the base of each tree trunk and stump carpeted with the reds, bronzes and crispy golds of dispossessed canopy.

From the safety of my bedroom, I look out of the window upon the naked branches liberated to sway in the fresh breeze of their short sleepy freedom.

It's at this time of year that I see her, the old lady of the woodland.

It is a patient thing to spy her as her form manifests slowly, from the knots and bumps of dark bark and twisted skin crust of many hallowed trees.

Any tree that she chooses.

At last she pulls free into the misty beyond to begin the burden of her labours.
A shadow she seems to me.

With her perseverance, a mound of rot is gathered. Ready to form the foundation for the baptism of fire.

Kicking crud she searches, finding hollowed out nuts, the fruits of the forest floor. Inside each one a tightly bound coil of enchanted wood. Gnarled are they that sit inside waiting to be freed. Upon her nest of leaves she places each one within.

When chanting her last incantation a smokeless fire erupts to burn. The flames give birth to the dark servants of a woodland twilight world, to guard their tall masters in the slumber of frosty months until the dawning of the spring. Then the lady melts back into her own chosen favoured tree.

Bitten by curiosity I ventured outside one year. It was late afternoon. The vapour from my breath gave good credence to the cold. The fire was weak, its red ash still smouldered. I took from the ground an old bent stick with which to prod into the heart of the ashes. Sparks spiralled upwards as the dark burnt charcoaled leaves were disturbed by my incessant poking, until the tip of the stick hit something much more solid.

The tiny creature of twisted knots stared up at me; its head and face nothing more than a dark dull bulb; its tiny animated form caught in such a nether realm did fade in and out of reality. It spoke but once, it cast a curse, and my sight to the mortal world was taken from me.

I sit blind and alone on my bed, my face turned towards my window.

And once a year as promised by the woodland sprite, I always get to see her, the old lady of the woodland.

If there be a warning to my tale it is this:
In matters not of your concern, be wary...

Not to poke the fire.

Where did you go when I needed you most?
Where did you hide when you walked out of my life?
Dodged a bullet, but it hurts like it hit
You know you did it, you gave it all away

You know they say love isn't for the faint of heart

I wish you could see what this done for me
Got tired of my own shit, gave it all away
You know you did it, you made a big mistake
"Next time?" You're kidding? No, it's far too late

You know they say love isn't for the faint of heart

Can't you believe I'll make it on my own?
Smoke something pretty, then I'll write a song
Crawl on my belly, no ma'am I sure won't
I'll go back to Texas, away from your throne
He travels the fastest who travels alone.

Lyrics:

"Can you see the man who walks our street?"
He gave something up for you and me
Life that was lost wasn't just an enemy's
Hung his hat on what we took for free

The land he loved and swore to protect
Makes bad bets, writes blank checks to effect change for
Charlie, don't look but the docs took your foot
It's gone, the banks know, they want your VA loan

"He's hobbled can't we go help him he’s old?"
No son there's no one who can tell him no
Now I realize that sometimes Mr. Baker he seems cold
Just know that what he gave us can't be made or grown

But the land he loved and swore to protect
Makes bad bets, writes blank checks to effect change for
Charlie, don't sweat, it's just the tango
"It gets easier, you'll break the leg move slow. "

I can't say what he gave
But he deserves more than this

The land he loved and swore to protect
Makes bad bets, writes blank checks to effect change for
The tangos and Charlie's minor deformity
He lost, the war is won, don't tread on him, he'll stand on one

I didn't know your love for me
Until I saw it bubbling
Your selfishness, we'll have to pay
I never knew you felt this way

I don't understand
Where this all will end
All those days, love
What were we made of?

I never saw what's on your mind
Until you tried to wreck my life
All those old ways
Same hurt, new pain

I don't understand
Where this all will end
All those days, love
What were we made of?

I know that our sun has set
But I won't let you soon forget
I didn't mean to take up space
Am I so easily replaced?

I don't understand
Where this all will end
All those days, love
Is this that dream where I'll wake up?

Look how you've gone and set me free
I never knew the man I'd be
Surprised myself, I'll be okay
It was unforeseen anyway

I'll never understand
Where this all will end
In your craze, love
Look what you made us

In these times
I know we'll find
The reason why

The tabs unpaid
The doctor's late
It's insane

I know this game
We've seen it played
Before

We used to say
We'd change our ways
The day we see
Pigs fly
That day
Has arrived

Single-file line
One at a time
We all fall

While they're sitting on their jets
We're paying off the debt
It's crazy

We're losing our right
And ability to fight
It's tyranny

We used to say
We'd change our ways
The day we see
Pigs fly
That day
Has arrived

All of this in mind
Tell me that we're fine
Again

It's highway robbery
In this new century
Maybe...

We throw them in jail
Refuse to post bail
Like they do to you
And me!

They used to say
They'd change their ways
The day we see
Pigs fly
That day
Has arrived!

If you can taste
That bitterness is me
All alone I wait for you
Have I been anything but true?
The scenery around me fades
All I can see is your face

I guess I'll keep it to myself
Me and no one else
I'm apoplectic at best
So I'll just keep it in my chest

Take away all this again
The days I lost the places that I've been
Your deafening indifference
I've paid a pretty penny since

I guess I'll keep it to myself
Me and no one else
I'm grief-stricken at best
But I'll just keep it in my chest

What I did and what you saw
Was it ever really my fault?
I'm indignant and a mess
But I still wish you all the best

I guess I'll keep it to myself
Me and no one else
I'm brokenhearted at best
So I'll just keep the piece you left

8 months, 3 weeks ago

Was a couple not enough for you?
Had another, waited up for a few
I thought it was my drinking, you told me it was "someone new"
But my thinking, well it earned me this view

Light the fire, blow this bitch away
I guess you "got yours," guess you got your way
I won't ask you, I won't ask you to stay

I hope he treats you. I hope he treats you well
I hope he gives you the things that I couldn't sell
'Cause you were buying from someone else
I say good riddance, "Girl, I'll see you in hell"

Like a match, before we lose our flame
Light the fire, blow this bitch away
I guess you "got yours," I guess you got your way

If you're looking for mercy, darling you ain't getting none
I'm keeping the house, the dog and my gun
I hope you like prizes, "Girl, it looks like you've won."
Your wish has been granted cause it looks like we're done

And I'm done, done with this stupid game
Like a match, before we lose our flame
Light the fire, blow this bitch away!

Always, yes always
We promised our fates
I'd knock on your door
You'd run down my hallways
Always

I can't keep up this grin
I already told my friends
You gave me your two cents
How can love be a sin?

Darling, oh Doll Face
You opened up your gate
Let's rob the bizarre
And run through the marketplace
Always

Much to my chagrin
I gave you my two cents
I already paid the rent
A wedding ring, holy shit

A big house, a small place
Whatever it takes
I'll buy you the moon
If that's what you dictate
Always

I can't keep up this grin
You already told your friends
We exchanged our two cents
A life with you's life well spent

Need me, just give me that
Believe me, I'm right where you're at

We're bleeding, we've cut ourselves
You're pleading, hope you find some help

And give them more time than you gave me
Your body's strong, so how's your mind this weak?

I want you with no strings attached
A nice life doesn't seem too far-fetched

Believe me if you feel so compelled
Keep breathing, I'll find you some help

Please give me more time than I gave you
My body's strong, so how can I feel so blue?

You treat me like the man that I am
A poor soul, forlorned and goddamned

If I leave, if I leave this town
You'll find that my faults can't be found

I won't need you to debate or disagree
My body's strong so how's my mind this week?

Dig deep, don't quit
Lay down our burden
You're wrong, I'm right here

100 questions float through my head
And I'm trying to decide
Whether I'm wrong or right
Black or white

This is the process of brokenheartedness
And I didn't even blink

Fools become martyrs of fire-starters
And I don't really like what I see

I'm keeping all these secrets from you
So tell me, how can I be free of you?
And I'm speaking without breathing a single word
So while you're sleeping in your bed I hope you're dreaming of me

One day I lost myself
And you, you put me through so much
Let's go playback everything

These days I find
I can't sleep at night
I know I care too much
I can't keep this up

Are we who we claimed to be?
Are we something else entirely?
Are you wrong or right?
Maybe I'm too broke to fight

These days I find
I can't sleep at night
You steal all of me
A new sense of apathy

You said you'd follow me
Instead you're out of reach
You take everything
Tell me I'm to blame

I can't sleep at night
A case of who's wrong or right
These sheets, this bed I call my home
And now I try to sleep alone

And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't wanna go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
When sooner or later it's over
I just don't wanna miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And I don't want the world to see me

Stripped down performance of 'Two Trains Two Wolves' from the Various Vortices Livestream Episode 1, links below. Main cover image is from the 'Two Trains Two Wolves' single, available below. The song is also on my album Reveal The Pattern. The single is not on BitChute because it contains a cover/reinterpretation of SOAD's 'Prison Song Revisited' and I don't put copyrighted work on my main BitChute. You can, however, check it out on JoshWhoTV, Soundcloud and HearThis. Thanks.

The best bits from the other night's livestream (8/30/20) including ALMOST all music performances, in between banter and horsin' around. The performance of 'Faster Than Light' has been removed because it samples Iron Butterfly and I didn't want to risk getting my channel shut down over it. To hear the full performance of the entire show including this song, you can go over to JoshWhoTV (https://www.joshwhotv.com/video/25538/various-vortices-livestream-ep.-1-covideodrome-thunderdome-8-30-20-best-bits-). I will also be uploading a standalone of the performance over on my second channel for covers/transformative works/fair use stuff, XR2, later in the week.

Title: War
Artist: Poets of the Fall
Album: Twilight Theater (2010)

====Lyrics====

Do you remember standing on a broken field
White crippled wings beating the sky
The harbingers of war with their nature revealed
And our chances flowing by

If I can let the memory heal
I will remember you with me on that field

When I thought that I fought this war alone
You were there by my side on the frontline
When I thought that I fought without a cause
You gave me a reason to try

Turn the page I need to see something new
For now my innocence is torn
We cannot linger on this stunted view
Like rabid dogs of war

I will let the memory heal
I will remember you with me on that field

When I thought that I fought this war alone
You were there by my side on the frontline
And we fought to believe the impossible
When I thought that I fought this war alone
We were one with our destinies entwined
When I thought that I fought without a cause
You gave me the reason why

With no-one wearing their real face
It's a whiteout of emotion
And I've only got my brittle bones to break the fall

When the love in letters fade
It's like moving in slow motion
And we're already too late if we arrive at all

And then we're caught up in the arms race
An involuntary addiction
And we're shedding every value our mothers taught

So will you please show me your real face
Draw the line in the horizon
Cos I only need your name to call the reasons why I fought

When I thought that I fought this war alone
You were there by my side on the frontline
And we fought to believe the impossible
When I thought that I fought this war alone
We were one with our destinies entwined
When I thought that I fought without a cause
You gave me the reason why...

Title: Carnival of Rust
Artist: Poets of the Fall
Album: Carnival of Rust (2006)

====Lyrics====

D' you breathe the name of your saviour in your hour of need
And taste the blame if the flavor should remind you of greed?
Of implication, insinuation and ill will, 'til you cannot lie still
In all this turmoil, before red cape and foil come closing in for a kill

Come feed the rain
'Cause I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust
Yeah, feed the rain
'Cause without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust

It's all a game, avoiding failure, when true colors will bleed
All in the name of misbehavior and the things we don't need
I lust for after no disaster can touch, touch us anymore
And more than ever, I hope to never fall, where enough is not the same it was before

Come feed the rain...
'Cause I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust
Yeah, feed the rain
'Cause without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust
Yeah, feed the rain
'Cause I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust
Yeah, feed the rain
'Cause without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust

Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the world is burning
Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the heart is yearning
Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the world is burning
Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the heart is yearning

Title: Dawn
Artist: Poets of the Fall
Album: Carnival of Rust (2006)

====Lyrics====

When darkness is no less than everything you've built become undone
There's no fight and no flight, disaster leaves your passion overrun

It's time to let go, it's time to carry on with the show
don't mourn what is gone, greet the dawn

n' I will be standing by your side
together we'll face the turning tide

Remembrance, can be a sentence, but it comes to you with a second chance in tow
Don't lose it, don't refuse it, cos you cannot learn a thing you think you know

A new light is warm, shining down on you after the storm
Don't mourn what is gone, greet the dawn

n' I will be standing by your side
together we'll face the turning tide

Video for the new studio version of '5G', an alternative rock anthem about the dangers of 5G. Straight from the single of the same name. It is not available on my main channel because it includes a cover of Tom Waits 'Come On Up To The House' as a b-side and I don't include 'copyrighted works' on my main channel anymore. HOWEVER you can check out the full single over on my alternate BitChute XR2 as well my Soundcloud, HearThis, and JoshWhoTV sites. Links below. Be sure you do because the single also includes a cool little chamber pop intro to this song plus a neo-psychedelic dub remix of '5G'. I have also released a single for the song 'My God Machine', a signinfigiantly stranger industrial avant-funk influenced song about a guy who creates a machine with the ability to speak to God. Links below. Both songs are from two albums I am releasing by the end of the year: A Shoe-In For The Shut-In Awards, an accessible album of conscious/redpill alternative/indie rock anthems, and Essential Travel, a far more experimental album that thematically explores similar themes but musically explores industrial and other avant-rock styles. Stay tuned for those albums and enjoy!

This is a single for the song ‘My God Machine’, an industrial avant-funk styled track off my upcoming album Essential Travel. Essential Travel is one of two albums I am releasing by the end of the year, the more experimental of the two with styles that range from industrial to microtonal post rock and more. The other album is the more accessible alternative/indie rock oriented A Shoe-In For The Shut-In Awards. This single includes the album version of ‘My God Machine’ plus 3 b sides not available on either upcoming album:

‘Faster Than Light’ is a great song that was decided to be excluded from the albums for no other reason than it contains melodic organ elements borrowed from the classic song ‘In Da Godda Da Vida’ by Iron Butterfly, and I always release covers or songs that sample from others’ copyrighted works as b-sides on FREE singles to avoid copyright infringement. The borrowed musical elements are not mere random novelty. The song itself is about the mysterious life and death of former Iron Butterfly bassist Phillip Taylor Kramer and the conspiracy theories surrounding his life/death.

Second b-side is ’Sixty Veggie Caps’, a post-ironic completely improvised freestyle about things I was buying from Amazon at the time, which somehow in my wacky tobaccy addled brain I found ways to tie into various red pilled conspiracy ideas. The song samples heavily from the Aphex Twin song “23” from his Ambient Works Volume 2 album, thus making it a fitting b-side. The final b-side is a dark piano led alternate mix of ‘My God Machine’.

You can also listen to the song on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/xylen-roberts/sets/my-god-machine-single-2020
and HearThis:

Single for the song '5G' off my upcoming album A Shoe-In For The Shut-In Awards, due out by the end of the year. One of two albums I am releasing. ASIFTSIA is an album of conscious/redpill alternative/indie rock anthems with champer pop and electronic elements. Essential Travel is much more experimental, exploring industrial, hiphop and other styles. Both albums thematically explore conscious/redpill topics such as the dangers of 5G, the Covid hoax, and much much more!!!

This single includes the studio version of the song from the ablum and its intro track ('Prelude to 5G') plus two b-sides that will not be on the album: a cover Tom Waits' 'Come On Up To The House' (featuring guest backup vocals from Reesa Trixie Flutterby) and an alternate mix of '5G' that reimagines it as a neo-psychedelic reggae song. Stay tuned to here, HearThis, Bitchute, JoshWhoTV and Minds for more info :) The single is also coming to those sites.

The single is dedicated to Michael Whitty, currently serving three years after, who in an act of desperation set fire to a 5G death tower, and to everyone else who has committed similar brave acts of guerilla warfare!!! To hell with the Illuminati and their New World Order!!!

Title: Street Spirit
Artist: Radiohead
Album: The Bends (1995)

====Lyrics====

Rows of houses, all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole

And fade out again and fade out

This machine will, will not communicate
These thoughts and the strain I am under
Be a world child, form a circle
Before we all go under

And fade out again and fade out again

Cracked eggs, dead birds
Scream as they fight for life
I can feel death, can see its beady eyes
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole

And fade out again and fade out again

Immerse your soul in love
Immerse your soul in love

Title: Karma Police
Artist: Radiohead
Album: OK Computer (1997)

====Lyrics====

Karma police, arrest this man
He talks in maths, he buzzes like a fridge
He's like a detuned radio
Karma police, arrest this girl
Her Hitler hairdo is making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party

This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
When you mess with us

Karma police, I've given all I can
It's not enough, I've given all I can
But we're still on the payroll

This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
When you mess with us

For a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
For a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself

Title: It's Not My Time
Artist: 3 Doors Down
Album: 3 Doors Down (2008)

====Lyrics====

Looking back at the beginning of this
And how life was
Just you and me in love and all of our friends
Living life like an ocean
But now the current's only pulling me down
It's getting harder to breathe
It won't be too long and I will be going under
Can you save me from this?

'Cause it's not my time I'm not going
There's a fear in me it's not showing
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
Oh but I won't go

I look ahead to all the plans that we made
And the dreams that we had
I'm in a world that tries to take them away
Oh but I'm taking them back
'Cause all of this time I've just been too blind to understand
What should matter to me
My friend, this life we live, it's not what we have
It's what we believe in

It's not my time I'm not going
There's a fear in me but it's not showing
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
But it's not my time I'm not going
There's a will in me and now I know that
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
Oh but I won't go
I won't go

There might be more than you believe
(There might be more than you believe)
There might be more than you can see

But it's not my time I'm not going
There's a fear in me it's not showing
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
But it's not my time I'm not going
There's a will in me and now it's gonna show
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
Oh

There might be more than you believe
(There might be more than you believe)
There might be more than you can see

But I won't go
No I won't go down

Title: Away from the Sun
Artist: 3 Doors Down
Album: Away from the Sun (2002)

====Lyrics====

It's down to this
I've got to make this life make sense
Can anyone tell what I've done
I miss the life
I miss the colours of the world
Can anyone tell where I am

'Cause now again I've found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines into the darkest place
I'm so far down, away from the sun again
Away from the sun again

I'm over this
I'm tired of living in the dark
Can anyone see me down here
The feeling's gone
There's nothing left to lift me up
Back into the world I know

And now again I've found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines into the darkest place
I'm so far down, away from the sun
That shines to light the way for me
To find my way back into the arms
That care about the ones like me
I'm so far down, away from the sun again

It's down to this
I've got to make this life make sense
And now I can't tell what I've done

And now again I've found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines to light the way for me

'Cause now again I've found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines into the darkest place
I'm so far down, away from the sun
That shines to light the way for me
To find my way back into the arms
That care about the ones like me
I'm so far down, away from the sun again

Oh no...
Yeah...
I'm gone...

Title: White Rabbit
Artist: Emiliana Torrini
Album: Sucker Punch (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, 2011)

====Lyrics====

One pill makes you larger
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anythin' at all
Go ask Alice when she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasin' rabbits
And you know you're goin' to fall
Tell him a hookah-smokin' caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice when she was just small

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you have just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is movin' low
Go ask Alice, I think she'll know

When logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talkin' backwards
And the Red Queen's off with her head
Remember what the Dormouse said
"Feed your head, feed your head"

Feed your head, feed your head
Feed your head, feed your head
Feed your head, feed your head
Feed your head, feed your head

Feed your head, feed your head
Feed your head, feed your head

Title: 15 Min Flame
Artist: Poets of the Fall
Album: Twilight Theater (2010)

=====Lyrics=====

The reaper's kneeling at your field taking in what you've sown
Can't help feeling apprehension
No point in waiting, for a rating for what you have grown
Look for liquid consolation
If I act accordingly will it save my humanity
You're either you or a loyalty disowned
Well excuse me

Who was it who wanted every sec of the fifteen minute flame of fame
A name to last for all eternity
Who was it who wanted ingratiation beyond definitions
When love alone is enough to set you free

No escaping though you're running, you cannot find home
Drowning in your desperation
Conviction seems to follow accusations alone
No place here for an easy redemption
If I lack your tears of joy, please forgive my heartless ploy
Said the fool to his majesty dethroned
Now excuse me

Who was it who wanted every sec of the fifteen minute flame
To name a love to last through all your infamy
Who was it who wanted ingratiation in their definitions
When name alone can jail eternally

Who was it who wanted every sec of the flame

Who was it who wanted every sec of the fifteen minute flame of fame
A name to last for all eternity
Who was it who wanted ingratiation beyond definitions
When love alone is enough to set you free

There's a yearning, searching quality to Thunder Dreamer's majestic rock that lands somewhere between The Shins and My Morning Jacket — which is to say, it soars beautifully in songs that pack real emotional heft. Thunder Dreamer's music would sound terrific in a bar, to be sure, but songs like "Capture" are even better served ringing out into the open air. Thunder Dreamer have embraced “Midwestern” as a descriptor, identifying with its underlying humility and landlocked yearning.

Track #9 from the Nobody's Heros CD "Outta Time" Lyrics & Vocals by Bobby Bauer, Music by Bobby Bauer & Nobody's Heros, Drums by Mick Lethal-1997 Nobody Cares Records A serious video for a "serious" song. PLAY IT LOUD! Nobody's Heros was one of the most talented bands I was ever in. Starting off as a Punk Band that did mostly covers it eventually evolved as more of an experiment. Four songwriters that didn't adhere to any particular style or genre we basically had one rule. If we liked it & it sounded good.....it stayed. We ended up with about 80 songs from which 22 were picked for our one & only CD. Most of us eventually moved on to other things but Nobody's Heros was the only project that celebrated creativity with that amount of zeal. Thanks for listening!! Mick Lethal
