Rezension: Wer so viele Lieder geschrieben und Alben herausgebracht hat wie Amy Grant, darf auch einmal vermeintlich seichtere Themen in seine Lieder einfließen lassen.
Nachdem diese Ausnahmesängerin durch Alben wie "Lead me on" und "Behind the eyes" genug Schwermut, durch Alben wie "Heart in motion" und "House of love" genug der weltlichen Liebe, und nicht zuletzt durch ihre beiden "Hymns and Faith"-Alben genug christlichen Tiefgang bewiesen hat ( und man vergesse dabei auch nicht ihre all sehr tiefgründigen Alben von 1977 bis 1986, ist es sehr schön, daß es auch eine platte wie "simple things " gibt, die eines ganz deutlich macht.
Das Leben einfach mal zu genießen, die Dinge auf sich zukommen lassen. Nicht nur für die großen Dinge Leben, wie Schwermut, Liebe und Glauben, sondern auch mal für die vermeintlich simplen. Ein geniales Album, das sich wie ein warmer Herbsttag in die Ohren schmiegt
