In this short video, we asked people living with depression and anxiety to share some advice for anyone who may also be struggling with depression; and any other mental health condition.

Depression is a mental disorder which affects about 350 million people worldwide. Its symptoms include, but are not limited to; feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, loss of interest in daily activities, appetite or weight changes, insomnia or oversleeping, anger or irritability, loss of energy, self-loathing, reckless behavior, concentration problems, unexplained aches and pains and also suicidal thoughts.

Current popular treatments for depression include antidepressant medications and talk therapy, such as counseling or psychotherapy. Unfortunately, these treatments have many drawbacks. Anti depressant medication is associated with a HIGH risk of side effects and a LOW success rate - while therapy sessions are notoriously expensive, and often unaffordable or unobtainable for most people.

I've seen several friends and relatives take antidepressants for years on end. None get better and most get worse.

Just a gravy train for the pharmaceutical companies and at best tinkering around with symptoms rather than tackling the root of the problem, or even trying to establish the cause. Taking a pill doesn't alter people's life experiences, circumstances, their way of looking at them, or perceptions of themselves or others but does usually lessen self esteem.

When we are born, as babies we know how to breath properly. We take in breath right to our belly. As we grow up, and life can get the best of us....our skills to naturally breath....'belly breath' become non existent. Queen of anxiety here and I have found the breath...taken in to the belly REALLY does help quell the anxiety. Staying present...not dwelling (as hard as that can be) on our problems does lower your anxiety level. Give it a whirl...you may be pleasantly surprised.

If you really want to know how to overcome frequent urination caused by anxiety then you need to watch this video. There is so much incorrect information out there, sending you further down the rabbit hole. This video gives you the tools you need to begin overcoming from frequent urination and other anxiety symptoms.

Twenty years ago I started to experience anxiety. I also began to experience a whole host of anxiety symptoms including a churning stomach, shaking, brain fog, irritability, feeling like I was going to start crying for no reason plus many more. By far the most aggravating symptom I had was frequent urination. It took me a long time to understand this and how to overcome it.
At my worst I would need to pee like 40 to 50 times a day. I can’t say the exact number for sure but what I can say is that I would feel the need to pee again as soon as I walked out of the toilet.
This symptom persisted for years because I did not understand what was causing it and I did not understand that my resistant attitude towards it was making the symptom more frequent and more intense….I was pretty sure it was my anxiety that was causing the symptoms but I didn’t really fully understand and appreciate what I needed to do in order to overcome this.
Firstly, I want to explain the steps involved in how symptoms like this are developed, why they persist and finally how to overcome these symptoms.

It’s true, there’s sooooo much uncertainty among us, always, but particularly this year in 2020 where things keep changing at the drop of a hat. For a lot of us it seems like the moment we begin to feel a little stable the shoe drops again, sending us into anxiety and worry about what the future brings.

We worry about our kids and the generations to come.

We worry about the economy.

Our freedom & sovereignty.

Our neighbors, our friends, and families…

The list goes on and on.

It’s totally understandable. Things are moving very quickly without much warning, we are finding ourselves in the middle of making swift decisions and being forced into facing some of our most suppressed fears.

But how often have you stopped to ask yourself what this fear might be telling you? Have you been able to see the silver lining? And how have you been dealing with the anxiety that’s been coming up?

If you feel like you’ve been (or get) stuck on the wheel of fear and anxiety about what’s to come you’ll definitely want to tune into this video.

The old is collapsing, the new foundations are building. Change is rarely comfortable, but you truly don’t have to suffer through the process. :)

I hope this video helps to remind you of some very basic principles in dealing with anxiety and that you leave feeling relieved.

Anxiety is energy. When it is in balance, this energy can be used to make your life better and reach whatever goals you set. Too much anxiety can lead to medication and horrible health. Too little anxiety and you will not have the energy to make changes. How do you find a balance?

Do you believe you need to control every aspect of a project? Most likely no. Delegate your vision and allow others to create with you.

• Ease boredom and stay connected by video chatting with family and friends. Other creative solutions people have come up with include live-streamed DJ sets, online book clubs, cooking classes and other online events conducted via video conferencing or video chats
• For those who were already isolated to begin with, the recommendation to connect through technology may not help much, since they lack a social network. Many of the most vulnerable, such as the elderly and disabled, also lack the technical know-how. For these individuals, the answer really lies in a compassionate reaching out by others, perhaps complete strangers
