Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) episode 189: Darkman. Darkman is a 1990 kinda-superhero, total-revenge movie by Sam Raimi. It bridged the gap between his work on Evil Dead and Spiderman. The game was created by Ocean for the NES in 1991. It sucks.

Overview: The Angry Video Game Nerd has been sucked into Game Land! It's up to you to guide him through three terrible and treacherous retro game worlds! Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures and Angry Video Game Nerd II: Reassimilated come together for the ultimate nerd experience! This is the definitive way to play the series... and more!

This deluxe collection brings you every stage from both of famously tough action platform games, remixed & re-balanced plus an all-new, never-before-seen final chapter to bring the experience together for the ultimate experience in nerd rage!

Featuring...

Enhanced Visuals!
Experience the 8-bit ugliness in a whole new way!

Updated Game Engine!
And by updated, we mean "Rebuilt the first game from the ground up in the superior second game's engine." Trust us, it feels better.

Improved level design and difficulty options!
Both games are infamously hard-as-nails, but Normal and Easy difficulties come with infinite lives, so take as many attempts as you need to beat the challenge. Level designs have been improved upon to really nail the balance between tough and fair.

Or perhaps you loved the limited lives and ludicrous overuse of instant-death blocks in the original release? We've got you covered. Just select "Old School" or higher from the difficulty menu and you'll be cursing the developers' name in no time.

Quality of Life Improvements!
Faster respawning (When you die, which will be often, you'll just pop right back out of the Toaster and get on with your day, just like nature intended!), multiple save slots, accessibility options and more mean that anybody can take on the challenge.

Surprises!
Perhaps you've never played either of these games, perhaps you're new to the sequel, or maybe you have spent years achieving the world speedrun record for both, but whatever your experience with the series, there are plenty of surprises in store for you!

New Chapter, Completing The Story!
"Wait, the game had a story" You ask? To which we say: ...Kinda! But there's more of it now! Beat both games to unlock the epic finale!

And more!

Mike Leaving James's Camp. Hey This Is A Twist. Now It Is Not Clear On Why Mike Decided To Leaves James Camp, But In One Sense I Understand

Both Right And Wrong, Mike Still Have Some Questionable Action Through Out The Years. Now I Said This Through Out On My Episodes. Mike
Is A Opportunist Which He Will Screw People To Advance His Agenda Or James's Agenda. To Me That's Hokey On Mike's Part, But We Will Wait

2020 has finally come to a close. We were thankfully able to get out 12 AVGN episodes this year, from Raid 2020 *in* 2020 up to the Bartman Meets Radioactive Man holiday episode. What were my top 10 AVGN moments of this year? Well, watch the video to find out!

From almost the start of the Angry Video Game Nerd, there have been holiday specials. From riffing on Bible Games to destroying Home Alone games with Macaulay Culkin, the Nerd has had a lot of cool holiday moments.

So, here's a clip reel to get you in the mood for Christmas right. The AVGN Holiday Memories from 2006 to 2020!
Merry Christmas, everyone!

The Nerd reviewed the first two Simpsons NES games 13 years ago.

Now he's back to review the third awful Simpsons NES game: Bartman Meets Radioactive Man! This "game" published by Acclaim (LJN in disguise) is a side-scrolling platformer that features Bart Simpson in a quest to rescue his kidnapped idol, superhero Radioactive Man. It's an odd mix of the show and the Bartman concept (later used in real-world comics).

This is also this year's Christmas episode, so merry Christmas to all!
See you next year!

Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) episode 18 and 19: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III review. This is a re-edit of the AVGN two-parter about the third entry in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film trilogy. In the movie the turtles find themselves transported back in time to ancient Japan. It has nothing to do with the game Turtles in Time, but they eventually added that name to the film.

This Is A Twist, James Rolfe/AVGN And Chris Boris/Irate Gamer Could Have Finally Bury The Hatch. This Is Good, Since Those Video Game
Reviewers Have Been Feuding For The Last 12 To 10 Years. Now Both Of Them Have Maid A Video Together Reviewing The NES Game Dick Tracy.
For Me This Is A Long Time Coming For Those Two To Shake Hands And End This Feuding. It Was Really Awesome Watching Those Two Co-Exist.
Making A Video Together Which It Should Have Been In The First Place. Maybe They Will Make More Videos Together, But My One Major Concern
Is How Is The AVGN Fan Base Taking This. Is Their Still Bitter And Resentment Still In The Mist Or Have The AVGN Fan Base Have Finally
Forgive Chris Boris. Because I Think The AVGN Fan Base Should Say Sorry To Youtube And To Chris Boris. I Only Hope That Old Resentments
Have Disappeared. Cross Our Fingers On This One.
