Tesla's Musk signals concerns over Nvidia deal for UK chip maker -The Telegraph
Tesla Inc Chief Executive Elon Musk has signaled competition concerns over Nvidia Corp's planned purchase of British chip designer Arm, the Telegraph reported on Saturday, citing multiple sources.
E-commerce giant Amazon.com Inc and smartphone maker Samsung Electronics Co Ltd have also lodged opposition to the deal with U.S. authorities, the newspaper reported.
Earlier this year, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission opened an in-depth probe into the takeover. The probe findings are expected in the coming weeks, according to the newspaper.
Tesla, Amazon, Samsung and Nvidia did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
Nvidia is likely to seek European Union antitrust approval for the $54 billion purchase of Arm early next month, with regulators expected to launch a full-scale investigation after a preliminary review, people familiar with the matter have said.

This video lists some of the things during my time at Bell Helicopter. This is just off the top of my head and does not include things like equipment calibration, helping oversee asbestos removal projects, being newsletter editor/President for the North Texas Section American Industrial Hygiene Association, etc.
Just a few more stories from Bell Helicopter while I'm putting rancher back together. When I say no one died "at work" then talk about someone dying at work, I mean that it was not work related.
I worked in the Safety dept. at Bell Helicopter Textron for almost 18 years and saw a lot of Scary, Funny and WTF moments. Like the janitor that filed for worker's compensation because a roach crawled up his broom and "bit" him. Really.
Innovation is a difficult thing to measure. But when the list of scientific, industrial, and commercial breakthroughs is as long as those credited to Bell Labs, one must recognize the truly groundbreaking run at the claim to have been, for a period arguably spanning at least 20 to 30 years, the most consistently innovative research center in the world prior to the internet age.
