I made this MMVM in 2017 during my anime video mashup hobby phase. My motivation for this video comes from the desire to create one around the song Hotel California by the Eagles. It is not an easy endeavor to find an anime to fit that measure. To me, the song Hotel California is about the trappings of excess and vice, and the moneyeds’ inability to escape the lusts associated with overindulgence; Satan and the guest’s lusts being the beast in the song that encourages such outlandish opulent pleasures to ensnare souls. In other words, to me, Hotel California is about the soul snare of pleasure and the incapacity to escape desires of the flesh from the aspect of the famous (rock stars, Hollywood stars, etc.), who are basically serving their desires and master, Satan. The guests in the song are stabbing their own desires, which they cannot kill. The clueless wanderer in the song, who is lured by beauty and stumbles into this lifestyle (into Hotel California), as many new stars do, only discovers that there is no escape. If possible, you could ask the many famous that were “star-whacked” at such young ages when they tried to escape. Of course, these deaths look like tragic suicides or overdoses or heart attacks, you get the point...https://www.bibocious.com/2018/12/hotel-california.html
