Building a two-piece fibreglass mother mold using polyester fibreglass resin, fibreglass matting & MEKP catalyst for the mother mold. Aluminium tape is used for the seam, plus PVA mold release and Carnauba wax for the mold release agent.
The model in this video is a skull candle holder housed in a latex mold.

A little further into the build and I have fitted two banana type power posts to the machine body and then directly to the motorized gearbox, the power supply is my trusted old bench top 30 volt 2 amp supply, the motor by Parvalux is also reversible which is handy when using it for a bi-directional grinder unit which I also show in this video.
The motors are both by Parvalux which are high quality new old units at a fraction of the retail price, the platforms are both 16.00mm aluminium plates that I hand turned on the woodwork lathe, as well as the brass couplers, which were then pressed into the center holes, here I left the brass posts 2 thousands of an inch proud before pressing them in.
The main body is made from a recycled stainless steel fire extinguisher which I obtain from a local craftsman who kindly let me have a couple to work with, www.graculus.co.uk
The motor mounting plates are of 20.00mm brich plywood; I still have to fit a stainless steel plate on top of the centrifugal casting unit, the motor fits to this plate and simply sits in place and held by weight alone, which I will show in the next video of this three part build.
The casting machine has a 900 RPM Parvalux 24 volt motor/gearbox, The slow horizontal grinder has a Parvalux 24 volt 215 RPM motor gearbox.
Those who want to hav a go at making this simple unit can use alternative motors can use these unit instead, they are slightly more expensive but would do the job with a simple speed control unit fitted.

Thanks for watching.
More in Part 3
In this video is how I made my own burn out kiln for wax loss casting and other projects.
The design could not be any easier to do, a simple outer body made from 1.00mm thick galvanized sheet and a spiral former positioned in the very centre of the unit.
The former is made poly foam packing, recycled and cut to form a 20.00mm square which is then super glued to the inner cylinder or former, the spiral has 1 inch spacings to accomodate the Kanthal coil, the coil was formed by wrapping it around an 11.00mm rod in the woodwork lathe then evenly stretched out to fully accomodate the entire groove left in the main body after casting, the former is completely removed leaving a nicely formed channel as show in the video.
The electronic parts used are,
I used Victas refractory cement but any good refractory cement would suffice, like the one in the link below.
I will postt part 2 when I have everything wired up and running, I will include a schematic also,
Part 2 coming soon.
I finally got the aluminum melt process figured out, and also figured out how to make molds that work, and so I did five back-to-back aluminum melts in the span of about two hours.
The first pour used a steel crucible, but after reading about problems that can occur when using a steel crucible, I retired it permanently and started using a Morgan clay-graphite crucible.
All the parts turned out well and were used for making a steam engine.
The aluminum alloy used was 356, which is a good alloy to use for castings.
I reduced the length of the video so that it only shows a couple of pours, since they all look the same.

I'm here to keep things simple and trust me folks this is about as simple as it gets when it comes to explaining how the Russians hacking our Election had no effect what so EVER!!! First off its been said that Hillary Clinton won by a sliver, well since that is the case then Russia had no influence on the outcome of the 2016 election.Secondly ask ANY democrat or Liberal how can one HACK a paper ballot and certificate that requires 6 signed copies of the Electoral vote to be registered and confirmed for records and results? Citizen PAIN How does the electoral college actually vote? Apparently those that believe the 2016 election was Hacked like Robert Mueller,James Comey and all those lovely Anti TRUMP Losers FAILED and mean YUGELY FAILED Civics Class. Citizen PAIN

And unless 37 of the 306 elect
A simple steamer for dewaxing my casting flasks, she is driven by a walpaper steamer which is plugged into and below where the flask sits inside the tube, it could not be more simple, and you get to use the wax again afterwards, total cost was around 8 pounds.
