Reies Tijerina was one of the four founders of the militant Chicano political movement. This is an except of his talk at UCLA in 1969 where he declared that La Raza would take over the entire American continent, not and south. He mentions that his "La Raza" mestizo racial supremacy theory is based on the book by Jose Vasconcelos, who was the major pro-Nazi propagandist in Latin America at the start of World War II.
Though he says La Raza will dominate "with peace", Reies Tijerina was famous for his armed raid on a courthouse in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico, where he hoped to kidnap a DA that opposed him. His men shot two police officers in that raid. One of the officers was beaten to death, just before he was scheduled to testify in Tijerina's trial. When he was sent to prison, he was diagnosed as a psychopath.

A small group of Proud Boys were attacked at Chicano Park on May Day, 2019. It was actually because they wanted to show the American flag and peacefully argue with socialists. The May Day march was planned to end in Chicano Park. They met instead members of the Chicano Park political cult, who end up violently attacking them. The San Diego Police Department had to pepper-spray some of the radical Chicanos in order to subdue them.

David Rico, a convicted bomb plotter, is one of the co-founders of the park. He spoke every year at Chicano Park Day until the day he died in 2021. A few months after the piece of land was occupied in April 1970, by Rico and others, which later become the park, Rico and two other Brown Berets were arrested and convicted for a plot to fire-bomb San Diego City College, soliciting others for murder and to distribute bombs in an attempt to start a violent insurrection. Gavin Newsom and the California legislature budgeted $10 million for 2022 to create a museum and restore murals in Chicano Park in San Diego. The museum will be used for indoctrinating children and young people.

Eddie Alvarez is the Unit Commander of the Brown Berets de Aztlan in San Diego. He is arrested and booked with felony interference with a police investigation. This occurred on June 27, 2019. Alvarez, 22, is the commander of the San Diego Unit of the Brown Berets de Aztlan, a kind of Chicano paramilitary group. The national commander of the Brown Berets, David Rico, is a convicted domestic terrorist and Alvarez is a young guy, trying to earn his wings, so to speak, by confronting the cops.
Aztlan is the Southwestern United States. Militant Chicanos claim that the land is their national homeland and that it was stolen from Mexico. They openly say their goal is to takeover the Southwest. Chicano Park was occupied by Chicano ultra nationalists in 1970. They claim that it is the first part of Aztlan to be conquered, while San Diego, state and national governments continues to pay for the park with our tax money.
The police are there in force, because the militants in Barrio Logan and he surrounding area are very aggressive and hostile to police. Chicano Park is a no-go zone for police, as well as for American patriots.
One policeman can be seen hitting Alvarez. Alvarez has his hands underneath him and is not allowing them to handcuff him. This is resisting arrest and the police are allowed to use reasonable force in arresting him, including punching, until the person stops resisting and allows himself to be handcuffed.
The neighborhood about Chicano Park can easily raise a potentially violent mob in a relatively short time and the police most probably wanted to resolve the situation quickly before such a mob had time to form. You can hear the person live-streaming this video call several times for people to come to the park.
Note that he yells, "I can't breath" like George Floyd did at about 3:30. There were complaints of police brutality and the police department did an investigation, but apparently did not find any significant fault with the arrest.
I do not believe that Alvarez was ever charged. I do not find any evidence of a charge being filed on the Superior Court website. San Diego government is dominated by progressives and liberals. From my experience, leftists and progressives tend to get off easy in such situations, while they throw the book at patriots, who may do much less.

Chicano Park is promoting the political ideology of the radical Chicano Movement of the late 1960's. Hatred of police is not a recent development or something that was started by perceived grievances against the local San Diego police. The followers of Reies Tijerina, another Founder in New Mexico, actually shot two law enforcement officers in a raid on a courthouse in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. Both officers were Hispanic. The purpose of the raid was to kidnap a (Hispanic) district attorney, who was threatening to criminally charge Tijerina. One of the officers was killed just before Tijerina was to be tried in court, presumably by Tijerina's followers so that he would not testify in the trial.
The group of Chicano militants who occupy Chicano Park resembles a political cult. The two militants verbally assaulting the police have been indoctrinated into a radical ideology and such ideologically-committed people will not change their minds due to reason or kindness from the police.
They teach the kids at an early age to hate law enforcement, as well as other perverse anti-American themes. The police should target those in the neighborhood who are less ideological. They may have been trying to do that, but were intercepted at the park by these two extremists.
This criticism does not apply to all Hispanics, Latinos or Mexican Americans, in general, or even to all those who Identify as "Chicanos". Rafael Barajas, under the pen name of El Fisgon, wrote a book about the Nazi roots of PAN, the right-wing political party in Mexico. Jesse Suave and I went to Friendship Park in the evening of November 15, 2018 where the Caravan demonstrations have been taking place. There we ran into a member of the Oceanside Pascoli gang and his family. They were enraged that I was carrying an American flag and wearing a USA cap.
You can understand why this guy is frustrated, he said he's a chief in the Pascoli gang in Oceanside and was probably looking forward to getting new gang member recruits from this caravan. Part of the reason Tijuanans are turning against the caravan, is they know most of them are likely to end up being stuck in Tijuana and they think it will add to their already terrible crime problem. There are still many Haitian refugees in Tijuana from two years ago.

This occurred just before a group of pro-Americans were scheduled to have a American-flag waving event in Chicano Park in San Diego. The message appears to be that non-Raza do not belong in the park and that they should be physically attacked and driven out of the park, which was exactly what happened. Chicano Park is known as an anti-American park, where waving the flag freely is not tolerated.
These are two excerpts from a speech made by Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales in 1969 at UCLA, one of the four founders of the radical Chicano political movement. The "Mission" incident he talks about is apparently a well-known case, in which Chicanos killed a cop in the Mission District of San Francisco in 1969. The Chicano killers were members of radical Chicano organizations, including the Brown Berets de Aztlan.
These revolutionary ideas are still taught in Chicano studies classes in universities and high schools across the nation. Corky's ashes are scattered around the Zapata statue in Chicano Park in San Diego, which makes the place "sacred" according to the Chicano Park Steering Committee chairman, Tomasa Camarillo.

On Veterans Day, 2016, a couple of patriots and Hispanic veterans are removed from Chicano Park in San Diego. This occurred during a protest against Trump just after his election. The report says the Chicano militants and their communist, ultra progressive allies didn't want any violence to ruin their event, but they were, of course, the only ones threatening violence, not the lone flag waver or the elderly veterans.

Chicano Park is a public park in San Diego dedicated to promoting the ideas of an anti-American Chicano racial-identity political movement of the 1960's. This Black Hebrew Israelite group is called "Sicarii 1715". This event occurred on September 3, 202017 at Chicano Park, during the first "Patriot Picnic" there. Sicarii was there that day to support the Chicano racial/ethnic nationalists, because five people, who happened to be Caucasians, came that day to view in a critical way the anti-American and communist murals displayed at the park.

Chicano Park is an a city park in San Diego dedicated to the radical Chicano Movement of the late1960's. Adherents to this Chicano racial and ethnic identity movement claim that the Southwestern United States is their national homeland, which they call "Aztlan". The extremists at Chicano Park claim that the park is the first part of Aztlan to be re-occupied and they control the park. For that reason they think police don't have any right to be in the park.
One of the four founders of the Chicano Movement, Rodolf "Corky" Gonzales, declared in a speech in 1969 that killing cops was not a crime, but a "revolutionary act". Another founder, Reies Tijerina trying to kidnap an Hispanic District Attorney in New Mexico, who was threatening to prosecute him. Two Hispanic police officers were wounded by his men in the failed kidnap attempt. One of these police officers, who was to be a witness in the trial was brutally murdered before Tijerina's trial and Tijerina was thought to have been responsible for the murder.
Both of the police officers initially involved in this altercation also appear to be Hispanic, themselves.

Supporters of extremist Chicano Park in San Diego march On May 27, 2016 to shut down the Trump rally being held in the convention center. Some of them attack police in an attempt to get to the entrance of the hall where Trump was speaking and shut down the rally. The marchers are La Raza and their communist, neo-Marxist and radical progressive allies. Chicano Park is a city park that is maintained by San Diego City and has received numerous grants from city, state and federal government agencies.

A small group of Proud Boys were attacked at Chicano Park on May Day, 2019. It was actually because they wanted to show the American flag and peacefully argue with socialists. The May Day march was planned to end in Chicano Park. They met instead members of the Chicano Park political cult, who end up violently attacking them. The San Diego Police Department had to pepper-spray some of the radical Chicanos in order to subdue them.
This is a brand new Proud Boy chapter in San Diego. Not sure that they were even aware of what Chicano Park was like until they walked into this situation.

A group of law-enforcement trainees taking a class in cultural sensitivity in San Diego receive an unexpected, real-life lesson, when their class is disrupted by the Chicano Park political cult and they have to leave due to verbal abuse and under threat of potentially being attacked. This took place on June 22, 2019.
This is a public park supported by tax money, but the Chicano cult claims it is their land and the first part of their national homeland, Aztlan, to be taken.
