The Federal Bureau of Investigations defied a legally binding subpoena issued by Congress requiring it turn over an informant file alleging Joe Biden took bribes as Vice President.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) issued the subpoena last week requiring the FBI hand over the file by Wednesday, May 10.
Instead of turning over the file, the FBI responded with a letter contending it will continue to withhold it from Congress to protect “confidential human sources.”
“Information from confidential human sources is unverified and, by definition, incomplete,” wrote FBI acting assistant director for congressional affairs Christopher Dunham.
“As is clear from the name itself, confidentiality is definitional to the FBI’s Confidential Human Source program,” Dunham wrote. “Confidential human sources often provide information to the FBI at great risk to themselves and their loved ones. The information they provide also can create significant risks to others who may be referenced in their reporting.”
“We…hope this helps you understand that keeping this kind of source information free from the perception or reality of improper influence — and preventing the redirection of this information for non-law enforcement or non-intelligence uses — is necessary for the FBI’s effective execution of our law enforcement and national security responsibilities,” he added.
Rep. Comer blasted the FBI for stonewalling on the file.
“It’s clear from the FBI’s response that the unclassified record the Oversight Committee subpoenaed exists, but they are refusing to provide it to the Committee,” Comer told the New York Post.

The international arms dealer turned over to Russia by the Biden Administration last year is warning Donald Trump’s legal entanglement could have disastrous consequences for the former president, and is encouraging him to move to Russia.
In a video message to Trump, Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, AKA the “Merchant of Death,” who Biden swapped for WNBA athlete Brittney Griner in Dec. 2022 in a widely-condemned prisoner exchange, warned the trial over alleged hush money paid to a former adult film actress could be used to “eliminate,” or “destroy” Trump.
“I sent a telegram to former President Donald Trump. I believe his life is in great danger,” Bout said in his message, speaking to a Russian-state TV station according to RadarOnline.com.
“The indictment in New York will not end well, where he returns to election/campaigning. He will be destroyed.”
Bout went on to ask Trump to move to Russia so he can have the “security and protection” he requires and so he can continue to lead “this uprising against the globalists.”
“I think it’s in the best interests of all of humanity and primarily all of the American people to invite Donald Trump here, to Russia, to give him security and protection,” Bout continued.
“Here so that he leads this uprising against the globalists and, most importantly, does not allow the elimination of the American people.”
It’s unclear what motivated Bout to issue the message, or what evidence he has Trump is actually in danger.
Bout had been sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2010 by the U.S. government for providing material support to terrorists before becoming part of a high-profile prisoner swap between Russia and the U.S.
Biden’s regime released Bout to Russia in exchange for “woke” WNBA player Brittney Griner, who had spent 10 months in a Russian prison on drug charges.
Biden’s exchange of a WNBA player for a notorious arms dealer was widely panned by American officials as a big “mistake” and “madness.”

Brazilian senator says Bolsonaro tried to coerce him into staging coup
A Brazilian senator said on Thursday that a close ally of former President Jair Bolsonaro tried to persuade the senator to join a conspiracy to overturn the far-right leader's electoral loss last year.
Senator Marcos do Val told a news conference that he had been invited to a meeting on Dec. 9 with then-President Bolsonaro by his associate, former lawmaker Daniel Silveira. At the meeting, Silveira asked the senator to try to get the head of the electoral court to make compromising comments in a taped conversation that could lead to the judge's arrest, Val said.
The senator told reporters that Bolsonaro "sat in silence" while Silveira laid out the plot against Justice Alexandre de Moraes, a Supreme Court judge running Brazil's top electoral authority (TSE).

Peru's president Pedro Castillo was ousted by congress after he announced the immediate dissolution of the governing body.
Castillo was criticized for saying he would install a 'government of exception' to rule by decree hours before he was due to face an impeachment vote. He was accused of trying to seize power in a self-coup. MPs moved ahead with the trial, with 101 votes in favor of removing him, six against and 10 abstentions.

Peru’s president dissolves congress hours before impeachment vote.
Dina Ercilia Boluarte has been sworn in as Peru’s first female president. Police arrested former President Pedro Castillo earlier after he tried to dissolve congress in an action the constitutional tribunal described as a coup. Boluarte was his vice president.

German reports say the group of far-right and ex-military figures planned to storm the parliament building, the Reichstag, and seize power.
A minor aristocrat described as Prince Heinrich XIII, 71, is alleged to have been central to their plans.
According to federal prosecutors, he is one of two alleged ringleaders among those arrested across 11 German states.
The plotters are said to include members of the extremist Reichsbürger [Citizens of the Reich] movement, which has long been in the sights of German police over violent attacks and racist conspiracy theories. They also refuse to recognise the modern German state.
An estimated 50 men and women are alleged to have been part of the group, said to have plotted to overthrow the republic and replace it with a new state modelled on the Germany of 1871 - an empire called the Second Reich.
"We don't yet have a name for this group," said a spokeswoman for the federal prosecutor's office.
Three thousand officers took part in 130 raids across much of the country, with two people arrested in Austria and Italy. Those detained were due to be questioned later in the day.
Justice Minister Marco Buschmann tweeted that a major anti-terror operation was taking place and a suspected "armed attack on constitutional bodies was planned".
The federal prosecutor's office said the group had been plotting a violent coup since November 2021 and members of its central "Rat" (council) had since held regular meetings.
They had already established plans to rule Germany with departments covering health, justice and foreign affairs, the prosecutor said. Members understood they could only realise their goals by "military means and violence against state representatives" which included carrying out killings.
Investigators are thought to have got wind of the group when they uncovered a kidnap plot last April involving a gang who called themselves United Patriots.
They too were part of the Reichsbürger scene and had allegedly planned to abduct Health Minister Karl Lauterbach while also creating "civil war conditions" to bring about an end to Germany's democracy.
The latest plot is also said to have involved a former far-right AfD member of the lower house of parliament, the Bundestag, who was lined up to be installed as the group's justice minister, with Prince Heinrich as leader.
Heinrich XIII comes from an old noble family known as the House of Reuss, which ruled over parts of the modern eastern state of Thuringia until 1918. All the male members of the family were given the name Heinrich as well as a number.

A new military takeover has been declared in Burkina Faso, after a day marked by gunfire and confusion in the capital city of Ouagadougou. The country’s land and aerial borders have been closed, and its constitution suspended. In an announcement on state television late Friday, a Burkina Faso military official announced the dissolution of the current government and the dismissal of the junta leader, President Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Damiba.

• October 8th: We will see the beginnings of the drive to remove Biden from office – led by Democrats, no less.
• Kamala will then be declared ineligible to be President, due to citizenship issues and she will be removed from the line of succession.
• As Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is third in line and she will be declared President. Juan suspects that her nephew, Gavin Newsom may be appointed by her and/or the DNC to be the Vice-President.
• Trump will be put under house arrest and charged with sedition/insurrection by the January 6th Committee sometime in the first half of October.
• Once Biden is removed and Trump is arrested in the third or fourth week of October, the elections will be delayed by a month or more, leading to social unrest in the cities, whereupon, “The military will be deployed to stop a civil war in America”.
• October 29th is Juan’s guess of the date referred to as “10 days of darkness”, involving the shutdown of all US communications (TVs, cellphones, etc.) and military occupation.
• There will be no election on November 8th.
