The Karminsky Experience Inc. is a DJ and recording artist duo consisting of James Munns and Martin Dingle. Munns and Dingle began spinning together in small London nightlife locales during the early 1990s, and had a long running, successful circuit of performances, in various night clubs throughout England. Their full-length debut, The Power of Suggestion, was released by the Eighteenth Street Lounge Music label in 2003. They are best known for their LP releases of The Power of Suggestion and Snapshot, both of which were put out under the ESL Music label, which was founded by Rob Garza and Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation.[1] Their newest album, Beat!, was released under a new label, Patterns of Behavior.

From the 1986 release MAHCANIK. Recorded at Inner-X-Studio 12/85). A cassette release of ambient soundscape pieces by John Zewizz. This electronic soundtrack style music went on releasing cassettes without any knowledge that it was Zewizz.
Out of all the Inner-X-cassettes (all impossible to find) this one with color cover is the hardest to find.

Recorded at Inner-X-Studio (5/85) from the MAHCANIK cassette 1986. In the waves of this minimal electronic soundscape John Zewizz plays with the rhythms. A short lived project of electronic sound pieces. This style of Industrial music is rare today. I'm surprised that Zewizz did not do any movie soundtracks. His efforts in this style of music went on for decades up until current day.
Zewizz ended his music styles of MACANIK and HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH around here with this release in 1986. He later focused on an electronic tribal style that he was doing in SleepChamber.

Again when analog synths were big in the 1980's John Zewizz was not behind the movement. Releasing hundreds of cassettes under all sorts of band names. John Zewizz was very prolific in the 80's and 90's. MAHCANIK was an end of many of these analog projects. John Zewizz released about a half dozen cassettes under HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH in the 1980's. This music being very much the same type of mini atmospheric pieces. Zewizz claims that SleepChamber was demanding too much of his time (recording and performing live) to continue these now rare electronic releases.
John Zewizz also went under the titles of WOMEN OF THE SS, NOIZECLOT, CULT OV THE WOMB, and who knows how many other names he released on Inner-X-Musick without anyone knowing it was him till now.

I had made a previous video called free energy Vs the laws of physics, and I had talked about some of the devices people built, hoping they could build what amounts to a free energy motor. or better known as a perpetual motion machine. Unheard Voices consist of seasponges, self-soldered electronic circuits, a lot of wires and a waterfountain. The squeezing of the sponges (connected with wires and filled with water) changes the sound-image. In the waterbassin an electric resistance builds up, which becomes directly audible by the interconnected sponges by changing the wire-connections, which are leading to electrical circuits. This means that by isolating one (or more) of the sponges, the sound will change also. Unheard Voices refers to the amplification of hidden (electrical) signals (making them audible) triggered by seasponges, the voice of nature, we are neglecting so drastically nowadays. I am playing with paradoxes like water and electricity and nature versus technology. This instrument can be played alone as well as in the collaboration.
Gaia-resonance is a collaboration with Dewi de Vree. It consists of an installation-based sound-performance in which physical and natural materials are used to generate and manipulate electronic sounds; water, sea sponges, stones and graphite are the variable resistors as part of self made electronic instruments.
Inspired by natural phenomena and the interaction between human, nature and technology, we are developing sound machines, instruments and sound-interfaces, in which electricity is handled as a raw material to make (electronic) sound. Central in our work, is experiencing the fine balance between the (un)predictability of the material and the (dis)control of the performer.
The instruments are low-tech, with open constructions and manipulated mostly in a very direct way. Sound and image are strongly connected: what you see is what you hear. Using natural materials like water, sea sponges, graphite, stone and our skin, we aim to demystify the technology in electronic music. Pouring or touching sea sponges drowned in water, drawing on paper, moving magnets and scanning a stone with a needle, are examples of actions taking place during the performance. By bringing back physicality and tangibility in electronic music we want to show the forgotten primal force behind electricity or electronic sound.
The performances of Gaia-resonance take place in an installation-based setting. For a moment the audience is immersed in an imaginary world which can be best described as an eclectic hybrid between a laboratory and a cave deep underwater or in the centre of the earth. As otherworldly creatures the performers take everyday objects and materials out of their context and thus give them a new meaning.
The sounds that are heard during the performance embody nature in all its diverse behaviour in micro- and macro cosmos and can vary from quietly or uncanny low-frequency and deep rumbling drones, to explosions of screaming and violently hissing ultra-high frequencies as sudden releases of energy.

It contained instrumental soundscape pieces. It also appeared on the SOUNDTRAX CD later on. This music shows SleepChamber going into a more electronic direction. Yet their styles of music are never predictable. This piece sounds like it could be off a PINK FLOYD Album.

This music was recorded in the recognition and appreciation of one time Rolling Stone BRIAN JONES. The influence he contributed to the esoteric sound to The Rolling Stones in releases like "Their Satanic Majestic Request" (1968). Brian Jones was know to be able to play any instrument. John Zewizz has been a great admirer of Brian since 1965 claiming that Brian has been a major influence to the SleepChamber sound and direction.

From the 1985 cassette compilation "Six Years". Larry Van Horn the Bass guitarist & percussionist for SleepChamber also had cassettes released through John Zewizz's Inner-X-Musick label in the 80's. This track is a jam-session improv with John Zewizz & Larry Van Horn. Its titled NECKLACE OF TEARS #2 but its the music that led up to SEVEN FROM LIFES most popular track by the same name. Most members of SleepChamber ventured out on solo projects or were already having cassettes released before joining the band. Cassettes were a very large part of the music culture in the 1980's. Most all being impossible to find such gems and roots. Larry Van Horn was a long time member of SleepChamber. 1987-1992.

From the cassette compilation "MUSICA VENENA" (1985). The cassette compilation came complete with a 6-page booklet of 'Poison' styled artwork by John Zewizz. This package and layout all designed by John Zewizz. Featuring Industrial bands from the early 80's. The "Theme" was to do a Industrial piece on a Poison. The theme and musical content was very popular in this scene. Jonathan Briley traveled under the wing of Zewizz just before he became an official SleepChamber member. This is the time period where Zewizz and Briley started to bond a heavy relationship in music. Inner-X-Musick released all of the 7-cassettes released by Briley. After joining SleepChamber Briley stopped his solo music work. Mr Zewizz claims to still have Videos and music unreleased by Briley to this day. Hopefully they will be seen on this Channel.
