NOTE: this is the old technique for running the game. Gamers can now bypass all this by downloading the launcher from the main page: https://ryan-albano.itch.io/the-vehicular-epic V.E. has moved to the OpenJavaFX SDK--this video should help those who want to run the game going forward. The video assumes you've already downloaded and extracted the V.E. project.

I kinda go off my rocker on this one when I talk about customer "power", but the point I'm trying to make is that I'm nervous about granting Epic the kind of control that Steam has had. Steam has a reputation that grants it a bit more trust than Epic is currently earning. At the end, I'm just embracing a bit more minimalism in my lifestyle.

Name of the song: O Fortuna Composer: Carl Orff (1937) Lyrics in English: O Fortune, like the moon you are changeable, ever waxing ever waning; hateful life first oppresses and then soothes playing with mental clarity; poverty and power it melts them like ice. Fate – monstrous and empty, you whirling wheel, you are malevolent, well-being is vain and always fades to nothing, shadowed and veiled you plague me too; now through the game I bring my bare back to your villainy. Fate is against me in health and virtue, driven on and weighted down, always enslaved. So at this hour without delay pluck the vibrating strings; since Fate strikes down the strong, everyone weep with me!
Something I had done earlier this year. I was initially going to add vocals, but I think it's great as a stand alone. I don't have song names yet so chime in if you think you have an idea what a song title should be.
This track epitomises my tag-line "Music Forged in Adventure" and represents a group of mis-fits coming together in a voyage that takes them beyond an uncharted sea. This one took a bit more time than usual to create as i spent a few weeks creating it in my head as an experiment. Writing something that's been intricately formed in my mind and making it sound the same took another month or so (in between the day job) and was very hard work. But i'm pretty pleased with the end result.
