Well, it's happening. The Federal Reserve is bailing out regional US banks to the tune of $2 trillion according to Bloomberg. This as the "systemically important" Credit Suisse gets a bailout from the Swiss National Bank consisting of SNB's ENTIRE remaining equity. Central banks are conferring in and around London as to what to do next, and gold and silver are rising.

It's been a tough week in the #banking sector, as just a few days after Silicon Valley Bank experienced a bank run, and several other regional banks came under pressure, #CreditSuisse was back in the news on Wednesday as their share price dropped again after their biggest lender said it would not be able to commit more capital.

Credit Suisse had been experiencing liquidity issues even before the SVB bank run, and while the latest concerns at the Swiss bank aren't necessarily caused by SVB, it's the latest pressure point being added to a banking sector that's looking increasingly fragile by the day.

Interest rates have been rising around the globe, with many suggesting that the Fed will continue to hike until something breaks. And it appears as if we're increasingly nearing that breaking point. On Thursday the Swiss National Bank extended additional credit to Credit Suisse to stem the decline. Yet the move is emblematic of how the central banks can raise rates for a while, but when that causes issues, they get forced to provide additional credit.

This video builds on and extends the explosive (but largely overlooked AFAIK) analysis done by Chris Whalen, “Is JPMorgan Chase Insolvent?” While Whalen is imo the best independent bank analyst in the business, he doesn’t have a crystal ball. (At least I couldn’t find one when I ransacked his home many moons ago.) He put out that post, which is nominally about Dimon’s bank but covers the entire banking industry, on Monday, November 28, 2022. He thus didn’t have access to the F.D.I.C.’s Quarterly Banking Profile for the 3rd quarter of 2022, which came out three days later. Whalen’s analysis focused on the dubious valuations of bank assets, which is certainly germane as far as they go and are discussed in greater detail in this video.
The real action in the third quarter QBP, though, is on the liability side of the industry’s balance sheet. There we find evidence that aside from being broke, the banks know they’re broke and are panicking about it.
But here’s the real kicker: the Fed isn’t helping the banks this go-round. It’s a new ballgame, and it goes by the name ALL. BAD.

Regular visitors have seen my uploads warning about this man. Since that time, he had been interviewed by someone I like to listen to.
The interview was just under 5 hours. I watched the entire thing. Tate was a guest of someone with more money and influence, so he restrained himself accordingly. It was an Andrew Tate I could actually listen to. [1]

The host was Patrick Bet-David. He did an excellent interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr (YouTube) back when I was very active on FB.

The reason I found this latest upload is because I was looking for updates on Andrew Tate and his brother since their arrest and the seizing of all their luxury cars.

At the moment, the Court is declaring every female trying to testify for Andrew Tate as being brainwashed and therefore inadmissible in the trial [2] Only testimonies against Andrew and his brother are allowed.

It's not difficult to see how a judge could steer the outcome of a trial in such manner. Only women against the Tate brothers. All others are banned because of Stockholm Syndrome. Which governments don't mind when populations submit to lethal injections and daily tyranny.

Whatever I thought about him before, I don't favor rigging of trial outcomes by judges or anyone else.

I took a break from writing this introduction to listen to this [3]

In this interview uploaded a month ago [3], the show's co-host says nobody knew who Andrew Tate was a year ago. In my first post discussing him, I asked viewers here if anyone knew who he was 7 days previous? I spend alot of time online, and had no idea who he was. I don't think anyone responded saying they knew who he was 7 days before my first upload discussing him.

So his meteoric rise still raises questions.

The #goldprice experienced one of its more volatile years in 2022, amidst the war in Ukraine breaking out, and the Federal Reserve's interest rate hiking policy. Yet by the time it was all done, the gold demand on the year was the highest since 2011 (which was another year where we saw a gold price on the high end of its range).

As is discussed in today's show, the surge in demand was fueled by large central bank buying, and also a spike in retail demand. Which is perhaps one of the most glaring indicators that there is a belief that all has not been solved by the Fed's rate hikes as it tries to bring down inflation. And with many analysts still expecting a reversal in the Fed's policy, whether later this year or in 2024, there's reason to believe the gold demand can continue.

Former IRS Agent explains how federal taxes are unlawful

One thing that Anna and others who teach common law approaches have clarified, is that you can't just stop paying federal taxes, because once you start paying, the criminals "interpret that" to imply that you've agreed to be obligated to pay such taxes. Thus, in order to try to extract yourself from this, you need to contact the IRS and send a letter "revoking your election to pay taxes." Many people I know have done this, and none of them (who I know of) obtained a response from the IRS saying that they actually DID need to pay federal taxes. Rather they obtained vouchers, which though they came with no explanation, seem to mean that one is now "out of the system". Thus, I am not recommending that anyone simply stop paying federal taxes: instead, if you choose, go through the revocation of election process, and if the IRS doesn't respond by telling you that you need to keep paying federal taxes, it would seem that you have an answer.

Our time is our freedom, yet we need to forfeit most of to participate in the current system. Therein lies the paradox. There are really no other choices either. It’s either the system or off-grid in the woods. My issue is not with contributing to society through the free market system. The problem is when the socioeconomic system is so bloated, inefficient and corrupt it ends up consuming all of its peoples’ freedom by force, and by design. So why do we need to give up so much of our freedom just to exist in a “free society”?

This morning the PCE inflation index was released, which showed the latest inflation numbers coming in slightly under expectations.

Especially following Jerome Powell's comments yesterday that the reduction in the pace of the Federal Reserve's interest rate hikes could begin as soon as the December meeting, this latest data furthers that notion that the Fed will raise rates by 50 basis points rather than 75 at the next meeting.

The #FederalReserve has been hiking interest rates at an unprecedented clip throughout the year in an effort to bring inflation back under control. Yet is hasn't been a smooth path, with pressure building in the foreign markets, while the stock, bond, and real estate markets at home have been sinking as well.

This has led many to wonder if the Fed will be able to keep hiking rates without causing a 2008-like meltdown of the markets. And in today's call, Alasdair Macleod and Rafi Farber talk about whether the Fed will ultimately be able to pull it off.

While the Fed suggests that it still has the situation under control, Alasdair points out the problems that it has started to, and will continue to run in to. Because with so much of the GDP and economic activity based on the Fed's decade of easy money policy, that's now being withdrawn, the pressure to eventually revert back to issuing more credit will be greater than ever.

Additionally, as the Fed raises interest rates, they're experiencing losses on their bond portfolio. And Rafi talks about these losses, whether they will be reversed, and how he sees this ultimately unfolding.
