Meowmy thought she had lost this video but she came across it today and had to share it. Otis Cat came to us in Feb. 2020 and all he's known is frozen water or flooding. The waters did start to recede in the fall but it's still not dry on our property. This was the first video and the first time we'd ever seen him walking through the flood waters. Storm Bella lands with Flooding across England, leaving 1,300 with no option but to leave their homes on #Christmas

Further flooding is expected in parts of Cambridgeshire this weekend with the River Great Ouse posing a 'danger to life' in the wider area.

Flood warnings are in place as the Met Office forecasts #StormBella will batter the UK today (December 26).

Cambridgeshire and most of the UK are under a yellow #severe weather warning for wind from 3pm today until 12pm tomorrow.

The Environment Agency has issued an 'immediate action required' flood warning for the Great Ouse catchment area near Bedford including St Neots, Little Paxton and the Offords.

The agency warns "flooding (of property) is imminent" as river levels are rising at the Bedford river gauge.

An Indian villager was rescued from severe flooding in eastern India after clinging to a tree to avoid being washed away.
Footage filmed in Bhawanipur village in Motihari district in eastern India on July 24th showed the man hugging the tree with all his strength as the torrents of water flowed all around him.
The man, who was dragged away by the strong currents, hit the tree and clung to it for almost two hours, according to reports.
Fortunately for him, a team of police officers spotted him and managed to haul him to the safety of their boat.

Reports are coming out of China that its massive Three Gorges Dam is at risk of blowing, putting 400 million people at risk. Five days ago the Chinese reportedly released water at the Three Gorges Dam to alleviate pressure on the dam related to recent floods. The problem is that China once claimed the dam would withstand a 10,000 year flood, then a 1,000 year flood and now only a 100 year flood. The basis for this was reported when the dam was built.

I had what looked to be a HUGE floor drain in the middle of my garage/shop floor..... but when the thunderstorm went through it flooded enough water into my garage that it overwhelmed it and started to flood my kitchen, hallway, dining room and office!! Check those drains and make sure they don't have small throats on them that can clog easily...... or you might just get a nasty surprise ;-)

All this within a 13 mile range.

'Natural Disasters' are one thing ... but 'Man-Made Disasters' are becoming an increasingly regular occurance. The recent 'unprecedented' flooding across northern regions of the UK is no more 'Natural' than the debilitating flooding of the Somerset Levels in 2014!
Government papers released in 2001 revealed that the devastating Aug 1952 flash flooding of Lynmouth, North Devon was a result of a Cloud Seeding experiment, known as Project Cumulus.
In 1997, the US Secretary of Defense, William Cohen said, "Others are engaging even in an eco- type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves. So there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations. It's real, and that's the reason why we have to intensify our efforts, and that's why this is so important."
One can only wonder who is unleashing 'Weather Warfare' against the population of the UK!

News reporter gets caught out massively.

Dad and I went for our morning walk around the neighborhood. We went the other direction this time. About four blocks away we saw a neighborhood street with household belongings piled up on the curb. As we walked down the street, I pulled out my camera. WOW! I had no idea the water this far from the river was deep enough that people are throwing away televisions.

I decided to make this video so those who are inclined to do so, may donate to the local charities. Des Moines metro itself I heard was worse as all the water from our area flows in that direction. I am so glad everyone is okay. Many people, I’m sure, were asleep as all this peaked around 1 am or so. Just imagine that! Being half asleep as the water is flowing into your home. All afternoon, there wasn’t any concern about flooding.

I was watching an old Doctor Who episode online when I just had a feeling that I better check the local news. That was around 11 pm. Most people are already in bed by then. My husband retired for the evening and I went and got him up. Streets around me were being specifically mentioned as being included in a “Flood Emergency”. We turned on the television and started to assess the situation. Imagine if these folks didn’t know what was going on. Stuff is replaceable. People are not!

It is the morning of 07/01/18. We had record flooding here in Clive and the metro (Des Moines) area late last night. We were already saturated from a week of rain with many rivers and streams swollen throughout central Iowa. Well, we had a large storm system blow through here yesterday afternoon til evening and it just caused a mess. Around 11pm last night, a flood emergency was declared prompting neighborhood evacuations and mobilization of every agency in the area. Cars were stranded in the flood water and more rain was on the way. They did a fantastic job! I was impressed. They anticipated which areas will be affected and swooped in with road closures, sandbags, evacuations, the works. Everyone worked as an efficient team. All in all there was only one loss of life.

Neighborhoods around us were evacuated and streets just a block away were closed. We are on a hill so we were safe. We were prepared to move our cars up the road to get them out of the parking lot, however. We kept an eye of the situation until about 2am or so. We do not have personal experience with flooding so this was a new experience for us. I, of course, took it as a practice opportunity. I made sure we were all set to go if needed regardless of how safe we thought we were. That's just me.

In this video, I take you only about a block from my home. This is the aftermath in my neighborhood and it's an improvement from last night. I couldn't film in the pouring rain nor was it safe to be out last night. I show you the same river before in embedded pictures so you can see the drastic change. This is that same river I filmed my Mother's and Father's Day videos! Ya know, the one the bike path follows so I had some before pictures from walking the path. The news last night said all previous flood records were broken. The metro area was much worse so just picture that while watching the video.
