This is an interview of Robert Epstein with Jimmy Dore. Epstein has developed a way to hold Google to account. He says he is doing to Google what they do to us, monitoring and surveilling them and capturing the content. In 1996, Larry Page and his friend was frustrated with existing search engines, that were less efficient.
So, they worked hard on a search engine project and launched Google on September 4, 1998.
Larry Page was born on March 26, 1973, in East Lansing, Michigan, USA.
Both of his parents were computer science professors, so his childhood home was
usually filled with some computers and science magazines that inspired him.
Larry Page was first impressed with computers when he was six years old.
He also loved spending time reading and learning. His idol was the inventor Nikola Tesla.
From the age of 12 he knew he was going to start a company in the future.
Larry Page studied computer engineering at Stanford University, where he met Sergey Brin.
In 1995, they were both Ph.D. students at Stanford University, they shared a vision of organizing
the vast amount of information available on the internet. They were upset with existing search engines.
Their determination and innovative thinking led them to create a groundbreaking algorithm called
PageRank, which ranked web pages based on importance and relevance. But they faced many challenges.
They didn't have enough funds to turn this idea into reality. They approached a lot of people.
By that time, in 1998 there were already established search engines like Yahoo! and AltaVista.
Breaking into that market was challenging. Fortunately, they got a 100,000 dollars investment from
Andy Bechtolsheim, co-founder of Sun Microsystems. Google was formally launched in September 4, 1998.
Despite facing skepticism and challenges, Larry and Sergey believed in their idea
and started working on their search engine in their dorm rooms and later a garage.
The Google search engine revolutionized how information was accessed on the internet.
Company grew at a rapid rate crushing many competitors, and with hard work and determination,
Google became the world's most popular search engine. Larry Page was named the best CEO in America.
Despite all the odds, Google became one of the greatest empires of all time.

The popular belief that iPhone is a privacy alternative to Android is wrong.
Privacy is ultimately about taking control over what happens to your data. The less control you have, the more exposed you are. Most companies, much like Apple and Google, are working towards restricting user controls over their own devices.
It's as simple as restricting where users can download apps from to an only place controlled by the platform. Or not allowing users to change default apps for messaging or browsing. Or not giving users an option to fully utilize their devices without self-identification to the company.
Unlike iOS on the iPhone, Android is a fundamentally open platform. Any restrictions put in place by Google can be reversed by the user, thus gaining leverage over what happens to your data far greater than you could ever get on an iPhone.
Apple made iPhones very secure, much like Google did with Pixel phones. But security isn't the only privacy prerequisite. You need to have a comprehensive strategy that addresses other threats such as linkability and identifiability effectively. Only Android allows you to do that.

Google, which is owned by Alphabet Inc. is worth roughly 1.717 Trillion dollars. A number that rivals the GDP of some first world nations. This Goliath recently decided that the First Amendment no longer applies to U.S. citizens.
While others in Silicon Valley tied to the World Economic Forum and the United Nations continue to build a Trojan horse of neo feudalism.
Internet censorship has grown since the Obama Administration to be an unregulated wild beast. A subtle yet powerfully effective tool utilized by a deeply criminal government. Addicted to accelerating the age old Hegelian dialectic ruse to control the populous, synthesizing order out of chaos.
Fast forward to 2023, and the barely acknowledged federal lawsuit, Missouri v. Biden, is revealing a cancerous censorship network that grew between big tech, U.S. Intelligence Agencies and the Biden Administration and given cover by a mockingbird media that violently drowned the first Amendment in favor of a level of totalitarianism that directly threatens national security.
As the New York Post reported "So far, 67 officials or agencies — including the FBI — have been accused in the lawsuit of violating the First Amendment by pressuring Facebook, Twitter and Google to censor users for alleged misinformation or disinformation." The problem is, this mis and disinformation proved to be true. For instance, exhibit A, The Hunter Biden Laptop. Which stirred up the panic to censor with criminal abandon to begin with.
Unhindered, The Department of Defense contracted a New York-based AI company to deploy software to target “disinformation” on social media in “real time.” US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) contracted Accrete AI to “predict and neutralize” harmful “viral disinformation” and “deep fakes” created by “AI-generated synthetic media,” claims the company’s CEO Prashant Bhuyan.
Meanwhile Google continues to interfere in U.S. elections. Pioneer the forced entry of AI's deep mind into our personal lives. And replace the propagandist Mockingbird media with AI journalists. While creating a online media ecosystem that will eliminate disinformation i.e. independent journalism. However, Section 230 continues to shield Big Tech from a tsunami of lawsuits. Legally speaking, I believe the general basis of most of the lawsuit is frivolous because of the well-known awareness people have about the privacy practices of Google. However, with the introduction of AI tools, I believe the judge correctly rejected dismissal, given the massive negative economic impacts of AI with respect to copyright and production of digital goods. Not to mention removal of humans from the workforce. Google most likely responded with the "Results About You" removal tool preemptively in preparation for the litigation during the lawsuit. It provides users an opportunity to remove their data on Google search results only, but is this a true removal tool or an attempt to mitigate legal damage? Listen to find out why.

The Internet is going crazy (while it still can) over a Google proposition that could see some form of DRM reach websites in years to come. The Web Environment Integrity Explainer, authored by four Google workers and hosted on a GitHub page, introduces the idea that a website could be able to “request a token that attests key facts about the environment their client code is running in” in order to ascertain trust over the visitor and their browser session, and thus grant access.The authors claim that a Web Environment Integrity API would “allow web servers to evaluate the authenticity of the device,” but many unhappy Internet users see it as nothing more than a form of DRM.

Passing an “environment attestation” test would give users a “IntegrityToken” under the proposed scheme, indicating that the requesting environment is unmodified and as such, clean.
The Android Play Integrity API already does this to check that your device has not been rooted. Some apps, including banking apps and a number of video streaming apps like Netflix, already use this to block access from rooted devices over cybersecurity fears and an effort to protect sensitive information.
Google, or at least the workers behind this particular explainer, “strongly feel” that device IDs and other unique identifiers should not be included. Instead, they see it as a tool to detect and prevent social media fake engagement, non-human traffic, phishing campaigns, bulk hijacking attempts, and other malicious activity.
Since the explainer, the repo’s GitHub issues forum has been awash with complaints, with one calling the idea “unethical and against the open web.” Another calls it a violation of the W3C’s code of ethics, “Positive Work Environment at W3C: Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct,” calling it out for its discriminatory nature, while another suggests forcing individuals to run specific software could be a matter for EU investigation. When we asked Google for a comment, the company directed us to one made by the GitHub repo owner and co-author of the explainer doc, which can be found here.

The open source project Invidious has received a cease and desist notice from Google owned YouTube. In the letter, which the project team published here on the project website, Google claims that it has become aware of the project only recently.
It claims that Invidious is violating YouTube's API Services terms of service and developer policies. Google lists numerous policies that it believes Invidious violates and is asking the project team to correct the issues or shut down its service. To do so, Google is giving the project 7 days time.

Google appears unaware that Invidious is not using YouTube's official APIs for providing its service. As such, the project team has never agreed to YouTube's terms and can't be in violation of them as a consequence.
The project team is aware that this may not protect them from the wrath of one of the largest corporations in the world. Things may, and likely will, escalate when Google notices that the project team has not complied with its demands.
Invidious believes that Google could try and contact GitHub, the project hosting service, owned by Microsoft, to shut it down that way. There is a backup repository in place already here. Google might also go after individual members of the project team.
For now Invidious is not complying with the demand and stating that it "won't do anything" unless forced to do so, e.g., by law.
