Please carefully watch this video posted here of how the Fieseler Fi-156 "Storch" has its wings fold for ground mobility--and saving hangar space.

Should take only 10x minutes tops for people who know what they are doing--these guys do not--so don't ass u me their effort is indicative of what a military PC-6 pilot/observer/crew chief could do.

We are convinced that if we FOLDED the "TurboPorter"'s wings so they can be GROUND-MOBILE in ISO shipping containers, trailers etc. THEY (civMil customers) WILL COME and buy more.

Other STOL Grasshoppers like the "Storch" had folding or detaching wings for ground mobility:

Another STOL Grasshopper UPGRADE: use TWEEL airless tires so the "TurboPorter"'s wheels are resilient against shrapnel & bullets fires.

Commander Ian Fleming is reported to have liked the rear-protective, drum-fed, MG15 7.92mm medium machine gun when inspecting it as an extraction means as a gunner/passenger during the Operation WINNIE THE POOH rescue of Nazi 1IC Adolf Hitler from Berlin to Spain in 1945.

A folding-wing STOL Grasshopper could be used to fly IN to do a mission, unfold its wings and be camouflage-hidden, then during the escape, unfold wings and TO to get OUT--remember what happened to the 2x SOE agents who took out Heydrich? Q: "Always have an escape plan".

The "Storch" was used to rescue Italian dictator Mussolini in WW2 by glider-landed German Fallschirmjaegers--when their overly-complex, HELICOPTER was broke and unable to fly--hints of Desert One years later in 1980, huh?
