Toujours est-il qu'une charge policière disproportionnée et donc très agressive est lancée. Résultat : des blessés, des gens apeurés, de la contestation, des personnes tombent dans l'eau ou y sautent pour échapper au matraquage et au gazage. Résultat : un jeune a disparu. Il se nomme Steve. On le retrouvera plusieurs jours plus tard, mort. Noyé. Un jeune pourtant gentil et calme, dévoué aussi, eh oui, il y en a !
Et en fin de compte les responsabilités ne sont toujours pas établies...
"Où est Steve ?" est donc une chanson en mémoire de ce Steve, et de tous les autres Steve et moins Steve, maltraités indument, blessés injustement ou tués malencontreusement lors de violences policières ou de "bavures" policières. Dites-vous que cela pourrait être votre enfant.

Yesterday evening, I was strummin’ this Blackwood Maton on the back porch, watching the sun sink behind the lake… and this song just started flowing out. I love when melodies seem to come more from the moment than from any intellectual force. Hopefully this takes you to a moment of peace.
This is the same setup I used in my recent “Another Brick in the Wall” Pink Floyd cover, and I got a lot of questions about the stomp box I used for the kick drum sound. It was made by Wild Dog Stomp, and has two sets of tambourine cymbals that can be used open or muted, depending on the song. I’ve been really digging it. Be sure to put some 🎧 on to hear it in full-effect!

Il s'agit donc d'une adaptation du fameux Mr. Tambourine Man de Bob Dylan datant de 1964. Ah le temps passe et Bob chante toujours et est toujours chanté ! Cette adaptation a été faite par Rémy Verneuil, il me semble avec talent, précisions et intégrité.
Toute la poésie de Dylan est ainsi révélée aux francophones fâchés avec l'anglais... à moins qu'ils ne préfèrent pas comprendre et se contenter de la musique des mots.
De toute façon traduire de la poésie a toujours une part d'interprétation et se charge du style du traducteur, donc profitez bien !

BEHIND THE MUSIC:
Music is spiritual. It is a gift from God and should always be used to glorify Him. He blesses us with many things like food, water, & shelter. He also has given us ears to hear good music & sight to watch YouTube videos, read music, etc. However, we don't glorify Him. Most people see themselves as "good," but the Bible says that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory God." (Romans 3:23) Why? What is sin? Sin is the breaking of God's Laws (1 John 3:4): the Ten Commandments.
Let's look at just a few of the Commandments to see how you are doing: How many lies have you told? Have you ever stolen anything (regardless of the value)? Have you ever looked at someone with lust? Have you ever used God's name in vain (as a cuss word, or an exclamation)? This is blasphemy and it is very serious in His sight. Think about it. Who else's name has been used as a cuss word?
God, the righteous Judge of the entire universe, will judge those who break His law, and the penalty is an eternity in hell, His prison. However, the Good News (i.e. the Gospel) is that God wants to show mercy to us lawbreakers. God came to earth, wrapped Himself in flesh in the person of Jesus Christ, was tempted in all ways yet was without sin, and died on the cross to pay our penalty. You and I broke God's law, Jesus paid our fine, and He rose on the third day to show that He is God.
Now God commands everyone, everywhere to repent, turn from our sins, and trust Jesus as Lord and Savior. He will give you a new heart and place His Spirit within you and when you die, He will bring you into Heaven to be with Him for eternity.

"Planet Caravan" has always been on of my favorite Black Sabbath (and Pantera) songs, and I love how deep the psychedelic groove is. I also love the leslie cabinet effect on Ozzy Osborne's vocals on their original recording. It's adds such a eerie, spacey, mood to the performance. I've gotten a lot or requests for a fingerstyle version of this song, and I wanted the acoustic guitar to have a similar effect, so I used my Lâg HyVibe Guitar, since I can add effects like chorus, reverb, and vibrato to the tone acoustically. I did not ad any effects to this song in post production... all of the the effects are coming directly out of the guitar acoustically.
