How to fix and personalizing your own instrument in the most beautiful way. PS: If you do repair an old guitar, I recommend first before investing your time, to examine carefully with a small mirror and flashlight the inside of the instrument, to make sure that all the inner support structure is all solidly in place.
Personally, I find Nylon stings are not as hard on fingers and have a warmer sound than steel, which have more of a metallic sound. Don't put steel strings on a classical guitar, it does not have the same reinforced construction and was not built for the extra pull; and don't put nylon strings on an acoustic steel string guitar either as it was not built to vibrate like a classical guitar.
This is an older playthrough of this song. I originally wanted to record this again and correct a couple of mistakes made while playing. That would take several weeks though since my right hand is currently out of commission.
Bite sized riffs series. Intro and verse guitar tablature shown and played in this video. Guitar interpretation of Dokken's classic song for the third installment of the 1980s Nightmare On Elm Steet film 'Dream Warriors'.

El Paso - Marty Robbins C Dm G7 C Out in the West Texas town of El Paso I fell in love with a Mexican girl. C Dm Nighttime would find me in Rosa's Cantina, G7 C F|C Music would play and Felina would whirl. C Dm Black as the night were the eyes of Felina, G7 C F|C Wicked and evil while casting a spell. C Dm My love was strong for this Mexican maiden, G7 C F|C I was in love, but in vain I could tell. F Bb F Bb C7 One night a wild young cowboy came in, wild as the West Texas wind... C7 Dashing and daring, a drink he was sharing, F With wicked Felina, the girl that I love. G G7 C Dm G7 So in an - ger I challenged his right for the love of this maiden; C Down went his hand for the gun that he wore. Dm My challenge was answered, in less than a heartbeat G C The handsome young stranger lay dead on the floor. Dm Just for a moment I stood there in silence, G C Shocked by the foul evil deed I had done. Dm Many thoughts ran through my mind as I stood there; G C I had but one chance and that was to run. F Bb F Bb C7 Out through the back door of Rose's I ran, out where the horses were tied... C7 I picked a good one; he looked like he could run, F Up on his back and away I did ride. C Dm Just as fast as I could from the West Texas town of El Paso, G C Out thru the badlands of New Mexico. Dm Back in El Paso my life would be worthless; G C Everything's gone in life nothing is left. C Dm But it's been so long since I've seen the young maiden, G C My love is stronger that my fear of death. F Bb F Bb C7 I saddled up and away I did go, riding alone in the dark...
Maybe tomorrow a bullet may find me, F Tonight nothing's worse than this pain in my heart. C Dm And as last here I am on the hill overlooking El Paso, G C I can see Rose's Cantina below. Dm G C My love is strong and it pushes me onward, down off the hill to Felina I go. C Dm Off to my right I see five mounted cowboys, G C Off to my left ride a dozen or more. C Dm shouting and shooting; I can't let them catch me, G C I've got to make it to Rose's back door. F Bb F Bb C7 Something is dreadfully wrong for I feel a deep burning pain in my side...
It's getting harder to stay in the saddle. F I'm getting weary, unable to ride. C Dm But my love for Felina is strong and I rise where I've fallen; G C Though I am weary, I can't stop to rest. C Dm I see the white puff of smoke from the rifle, G C I feel the bullet go deep in my chest. C Dm G C Kissing my cheek as she kneels by my side. C Dm Cradled by two loving arms that I'll die for, G C One little kiss and Felina goodbye.
And walk this land Please take my hand In a gadda da vida, honey Don't you know that I'm lovin' you In a gadda da vida, baby Don't you know that I'll always be true Oh, won't you come with me And take my hand Oh, won't you come with me And walk this land Please take my hand
Old Brown Shoe The Beatles I want a love that's right But right is only half of what's wrong I want a short haired girl Who sometimes wears it twice as long Now I'm stepping out this old brown shoe Baby, I'm in love with you I'm so glad you came here, it won't be the same now I'm telling you You know you pick me up From where some try to drag me down And when I see your smile Replace every thoughtless frown Got me escaping from this zoo Baby, I'm in love with you I'm so glad you came here, it won't be the same now When I'm with you If I grow up I'll be a singer Wearing rings on every finger Not worrying what they or you say I'll live and love and maybe someday Who knows, baby, you may comfort me I may appear to be imperfect My love is something you can't reject I'm changing faster than the weather If you and me should get together Who knows, baby, you may comfort me I want that love of yours To miss that love is something I'd hate I'll make an early start I'm making sure that I'm not late For you sweet top lip I'm in the queue Baby, I'm in love with you I'm so glad you came here, it won't be the same now When I'm with you I'm so glad you came here, it won't be the same now When I'm with you

Omg, it's been 3 weeks since I’ve posted anything. My next upload was supposed to be an original but Spotify and iTunes still have to review everything. Here’s a little something until then! I also want to thank everyone for helping me get to 100 subscribers!! I hit 100 after my last video, and am now at 115. I cant believe I finally made it to 100 on YouTube!!!!!!! 😁😁 Instagram: @themusicalintrovert
6505 Lead Channel, clean boosted with a Duncan Forza, MXR 10 band in the effects loop. Lefty Fender neck bolted onto an unknown blonde body. ‘52 black guard, Dimarzio Area T bridge pickup (Duncan Lil 59 neck not used in this clip). The gain (just under 4 or 11 o’clock) is basically the same spot I use for humbuckers as well. I adjust it slightly with any guitar; but just wanted to showcase a single coil used in a tech-death setting.
Recorded in Camden, NJ early in 1928; became the most phenominal guitar solo piece in history. Maybelle Carter would go on to record and perform this song over 300 times on every radio and tv show of the time; most memorably, the Johnny Cash Show in 1969, when she reunited with her cousin Sara for the first time since 1943...…...One of the first songs every guitarist learns and never masters....though some of the later recordings feature the signature Carter Family harmonies - this is the original, that sold 1,000,000 copies in 1928/1929.
2006 USA 6505 with =C= 6L6’s. Seymour Duncan Forza for a clean boost, MXR 10 band in the loop. Custom Padalka Neptune guitar with custom Elysian Trident II pickups. High Gain Input, Green Channel, Crunch and Bright Switches engaged. Mesa 2x12 with V30’s.
From classical guitar and 6-strings baritone ukulele, to my version of the tenor ukulele setup like the 3th fret notes of the smallest guitar strings, to my concert ukulele as the 5th fret notes of the smallest guitar strings, to my version of the soprano ukulele as the 7th fret notes of the smallest guitar strings. Also included, are the 5-strings banjo, the bass guitar and double bass, the mandolin and violin, and the bigger but beautiful sounding cello violin. My ukulele strings setups are not the traditional Hawaiian way, but more like a mini guitar setup, with strings from bigger to smaller. On a 4-stings baritone ukulele, the setup is from bigger to smallest strings and they match the 4 smallest strings of a regular guitar; I have a 6-string, so it's the same as a guitar tuning.
PS: I recommend keeping a few extra sets of pro quality strings, and in the finishing stringing touch, not to cut the strings right away and instead, passing them back into their hole a couple of more times, if long enough, at least for the thinner ones, before rolling them up tight. I also recommend using better sounding white Aquila New Nylgut Ukulele strings for the proper instrument size, Soprano, Concerto or Tenor.
UKULELE TO SMALL GUITAR STRINGING CONVERSION:
1st C GREEN 0.95 2nd E BLUE 0.80 3rd G WHITE 0.67 4th A RED 0.62
Traditional Ukulele Stringing:
1st A RED 0.62 2nd E BLUE 0.80 3rd C GREEN 0.95 4th G WHITE 0.67
On regular guitars, the 5th fret note of 6th string equals 5th string, 5th fret note of 5th string equals 4th string, 5th fret note of 4th string equals 3rd string, 4th fret note of 3rd string equals 2nd string, 5th fret note of 2nd string equals 1st string. (E5 = A, A5 = D, D5 = G, G4 = B, B5 = E)
On the Ukulele: 5th fret note of 1st string = 2nd string, 4th fret note of 2nd string = 3rd string, 5th fret note of 3rd string = 4th string.
BOSS CHROMATIC GUITAR TUNER TU-01:
I recommend the BOSS tuner, which is very precise to tune instruments; it has a mode perfect for classical guitars, a Bass guitars mode and a Ukulele mode equivalent to the 5th fret notes of the 4 smallest strings of a regular guitar. On the Boss tuner, The tenor ukulele at the 3rd fret notes of the smallest guitar strings, is F-A#-D-G, on the Chroma mode. The Concerto tuning is the Ukulele mode; and for the small Soprano Ukulele converted into a mini guitar, on the Chroma Mode, it's A-D-F#-B.
FREE ONLINE TUNER APPS:
There are free guitar tuner applications for tablets and cell phones; some even work for multiple instruments including the traditional ukulele setup, like the Chromatic Guitar Tuner from Gismart.
The guitar is mixed kinda bad, I apologize. I'm not a sound engineer. I also say hypmotized instead of hypnotized. I don't know what happened, but my deepest regrets and apologies are with you at this time. Anyways, I hope my botched mixing job hasn't ruined your interest in this cover. Enjoy!
