Los Angeles, California — On August 12, 2023, at around 8:17 p.m., Olympic Area uniformed patrol officers responded to a radio call of a “Man with a Gun” inside the convenience store, located at the 3400 block of West 6th Street. Upon arrival the suspect, later identified as 35-year-old, Taylor Dean Sanders, had left the location. At around 9:19 p.m., officers who were canvassing the area, observed Sanders on the south sidewalk of Wilshire Boulevard west of Kenmore Avenue, carrying what appeared to be a black assault rifle. As officers issued verbal commands to Sanders, he raised the rifle in the direction of the officers resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS). Officers broadcast a “Help Call,” as Sanders fled the location on foot.
Responding uniform officers from Rampart and Olympic Division observed Sanders walking south on Vermont Avenue from Wilshire Boulevard. Officers began to follow Sanders on foot from behind the cover of their trailing police vehicles. As Sanders reached mid-block between Vermont Avenue and 7th Street, officers deployed both Bean Bag Shotguns and 40mm Less-Lethal Launchers (LLL) towards Sanders. Sanders again raised his rifle in the direction of the officers, which resulted in a second OIS. Sanders continued to flee south on Vermont Avenue to a multi-unit shopping center and parking lot located at the northeast corner of 7th Street and Vermont Avenue. Officers again deployed 40mm LLL towards Sanders and as Sanders again pointed his rifle in the direction of officers resulting in a third OIS.
Sanders barricaded himself in an open-air stairwell of the parking lot and refused to submit to commands. Metropolitan Division Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) personnel responded to the location and after a lengthy standoff, Sanders surrendered without incident. Sanders was transported to California Hospital Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds. Sanders was admitted and listed in stable condition. Sanders was booked for Brandishing an Imitation Firearm at officers. Two replica firearms were located, a black air soft gun in the appearance of a rifle and a black and orange butane lighter in the appearance of a small pistol were recovered from the scene and booked as evidence. No officers or other citizens were injured during this incident. Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.

And it wasn’t an outbreak of Hantavirus spread by New Mexico’s desert rodents. She declared a health emergency over gun shootings committed by criminals and illegal immigrants who are protected by radical leftists who control Gov. Grisham’s Democratic Party. Her solution to a crime problem is to disarm law-abiding citizens so that they are defenseless when in public places amongst the criminals who will still be armed.
Gov. Grisham’s illegal and unconstitutional decree applies to the City of Albuquerque and surrounding Bernalillo County. It will be in effect for the next 30 days and can be extended. It bans all citizens from carrying firearms in public, including citizens with concealed carry permits.

Houston police are investigating an incident in which an HPD officer discharged his duty weapon at an armed suspect at 2086 Shadow Rock Drive about 9:55 p.m. last Friday (June 11). The suspect, Brittney Jane Jones (w/f, 27-year-old), was not injured. She is charged with aggravated assault of a police officer in the 174th State District Court. A booking photo of Jones is attached to this news release. Officer C. Thompson-Martin, who discharged his duty weapon, was not injured in the incident. Officer Thompson-Martin was sworn in as an officer in March 2019 and is assigned to the Kingwood Patrol Division.
HPD Special Investigations Unit Sergeant M. Burroughs and Detectives M. Millington and J. Young reported: HPD patrol officers responded to a disturbance at the above address and made contact with Jones, who displayed a weapon and pointed it at officers. Fearing for his life, Officer Thompson-Martin discharged his duty weapon at Jones. She was not struck. Jones then retreated back inside the residence and later surrendered without further incident. Jones was treated by Houston Fire Department paramedics for minor injuries, possibly sustained by glass debris. As is customary in HPD officer-involved shooting incidents in the Houston city limits, this case is being investigated by the HPD Special Investigations Unit and the Internal Affairs Division.

Solon, Ohio -- An SPD officer was patrolling when noticed a vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed. The officer turned on his radar and determined the vehicle to being going excess of 100MPH. As the officer was catching up to the vehicle, the vehicle spun out on the side of the road.
When officers approached, the driver identified himself, gave officers a badge, and said his dad was a sergeant at Shaker Heights Police. The man then admitted a firearm was underneath his passenger seat. During a search of the car, officers found some sort of edibles.
