A short film by Jim Morrison, Frank Lisciandro, Paul Ferrara, and Babe Hill and stars Morrison as a hitchhiker. It's a 50-minute experimental film in Direct Cinema style, shot during the spring and summer of 1969 in the Mojave Desert and in Los Angeles.
In the informal 1971 interview Morrison gave to Ben Fong Torres, Morrison states the film "...was more of an exercise for me and a warm-up for something bigger".

The Karakoram Highway, extending from Pakistan to China, is fast becoming recognized as the 8th man-made wonder of the world.
Known informally as the KKH, it is the highest paved international road in the world.
At its peak, near the China/Pakistan border, it is considered to be one of the world's hardest alpine climbs.
The Karakorum Highway connects China and Pakistan across the Karakoram mountain range via the Khunjerab Pass. It’s maximum elevation is 4,693 meters (15,397 feet) above sea level.
810 Pakistani and 82 Chinese workers lost their lives in landslides and falls while building the highway.
The route of the KKH traces one of the many paths of the ancient Silk Road and has a total length of approximately 1,300 Km. (800 miles)...887 Km. (551 miles) in Pakistan and 413 Km (257 miles) in China. It was started in 1959, and completed 27 years later in 1986.

Someone asked what this was from and asked if it was my own. No and Yes. Let me tell you
The clip is an interview with Patricia Arquette and it is from an overview of the David lynch movie Lost Highway. This movie was made to build hype for Lynch's coming movie (I think it was Mulholland Drive. This documentary film includes cast members from a a number if Lynch's movies, from Eraserhead to Mulholland Drive.
OK, so if Lynch's people made the movie, what did I do?
My part was silly and totally masturbatory - I found a scene I have either enjoyed or thought was important in a movie. I select it then I throw edits at it. In this case I selected the clip, reviewed it to see what improvements I thought could be made, divided the clip to adapt each scene to a different set of edits, then I decide which edits to make.
In this piece I added Levels, Saturation, Resizing, Film Temperature and a few audio edits. In this case I likely adjusted the Amplification, Limiting, Classic Filters, Equalization and Echo. (I did each of these a couple of times. My goal was to make the sound sound a little creepy).
Again, please know what I do is done to share things which are enjoyable or meaningful to me. This endeavor is truly masturbatory.
The software used is Shotcut and Audacity. Neither is a professional software package but both are open source and therefor free. I encourage you to use these to start your own creative endeavors. You are now free to chronicle your own life. Get going.
