Das Buch ist wahrscheinlich nicht in vielen Auflagen oder in größeren Stückzahlen erschienen, da es heute schwierig zu erwerben ist. In Deutschland ist das Buch praktisch zensiert. Obwohl es nicht auf der offiziellen Liste von Büchern die in der BRD zensiert sind steht, ist es heute nicht möglich das Buch in deutschen Läden zu kaufen, weder neu noch antiquarisch. Als der Verlag “Unabhängige Nachrichten” um 1990 eine Zusammenfassung des Buchs herausgegeben hat und Pläne hatte das ganze Buch zu drucken, wurde das Haus von Behörden durchsucht und das einzige Exemplar von ‘Praktischer Idealismus’ beschlagnahmt.
Das Buch wird auch auf den offiziellen Internetseiten der Europäischen Union nicht genannt. Das versteht sich, da der Inhalt nicht unmittelbar mit dem offiziellen Programm der Bewegung übereinstimmt. Es ist der Frage wie diese Diskrepanz entstanden ist. Wurde die Pan-Europa Bewegung geputscht? War ‘Praktischer Idealismus’ nur gemeint für die Wenigen, weil das Gerede von christlichen Werten und Demokratie nur leere Rhetorik war?
