President Trump delivered remarks at the American Veterans (AMVETS) National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. The president touted the investments his administration has made into growing and modernizing the military. He also talked about the improvements made at the VA regarding veteran’s medical care, such as the Veterans Choice Program which allows eligible veterans the option to use community health care providers instead of waiting for an appointment to become available at their nearest VA facility. The president also announced and signed an executive memorandum forgiving the student loan debt for the approximately 25,000 veterans that are “completely and permanently disabled.”

The problem is not the problem, the problem is our attitude about the problem -- and the IC has an attitude problem. We need to stop lying to ourselves and telling ourselves this is the reality - that is so far from the truth many of us have failed to see everything tried since the first mass shooting since 1999 in Denver has only lead to more failures and more deaths. As a result, we keep finding ourselves in the same spot every time there is a mass school shooting..
As a society, we have had guns as part of our family since 1620 and mass school shootings have only been since 1999 -- time to stop lying to ourselves and time to take our children back from the education system as responsible and accountable parents instead of relying on the education system to do it for us.
