O moço que entrou no meio da entrevista tava tão louco que acabou virando meme nas redes sociais, mas como ninguém soube jamais definir sua identidade (talvez apenas que se chamava Denis), ficou conhecido como "Dmitri", ou pelo nome completo do meme, "Dmitri Finds Out" (Dmitri descobre que).
Sem entender o significado do vídeo, a maioria dos estrangeiros interpretou como se ele estivesse criticando um determinado assunto, e a moça o atualizasse com uma informação positiva e ele começasse a comemorar. Mas na verdade, provavelmente devia ser meio bêbado ou deficiente, e a graça está em que Dmitri diz achar a música ruim, mas quando perguntado sobre o estilo, começa do nada a dançar, sem responder mais nada... Tanto que na Rússia mesma, o vídeo não é conhecido como "Dmitri descobre que", mas "Óchen plokháia múzyka" (Música muito ruim) ou "Napravlénie? Kakóie napravlénie?" (Estilo? Incrivelmente, é um dos memes de repercussão mais duradoura da história, e nos uploads russos originais, ainda vem gente de uns meses ou até semanas atrás fazendo piadas ou elogiando!
Um dos mais famosos sites em inglês explicando memes de diversos países (http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/dimitri-finds-out) dá as seguintes informações sobre "Dmitri" (quase sempre escrito "Dimitri", com três "i"). A entrevista foi gravada na boate "Kompas" de Veliki Novgorod pelo canal de TV local "Triada", com os primeiros vídeos aparecendo em sites russos em 28 de março de 2008. O primeiro upload no YouTube data de 11 de outubro de 2008, enquanto a primeira tradução pro inglês data somente de 5 de janeiro de 2010, revelando que o nome da "música muito ruim" sob a qual Dmitri cai na dança é "Sound of Sunday", de Joonas Hahmo. Enfim, em 12 de março de 2013, a emissora Triada carregou uma versão do vídeo em alta qualidade e, além do que eu já disse acima, informou que a repórter se chamava Varvara Brandl (Варвара Брандл) e que o show em questão tinha o nome "Rain" (Рэйн). A grande má notícia é que jamais alguém conseguiu revelar a verdadeira identidade e história de vida do suposto Denis, nem mesmo os russos, tendo ele talvez mudado e apagado várias redes sociais por causa do imenso assédio. Diz-se que no passado ele teria trabalhado como taxista e que ele não teria gostado de receber a fama com esse meme. Entre seus hipotéticos sobrenomes verdadeiros estariam "Okorochkov", "Korochkov" e "Kozlov". Outro nome pelo qual se conhece o meme na Rússia é "Muzykálnaia líchnost" (Personalidade musical), e... quem sabe até o grande "charme" dele não seja esse misterioso anonimato?
