This Sunday will begin Thanksgiving week in the USA. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because we get a window of opportunity to practice gratitude and thankfulness. These are very important spiritual virtues and mentioned frequently in ACIM. "And gratitude to God becomes the way in which He is remembered, for love cannot be far behind a grateful heart and thankful mind. God enters easily, for these are the true conditions for your coming home." (OrEd.Mn.23.4) I believe it is important for us to not only think thoughts of gratitude, but to speak words of thankfulness as well.

I am grateful and thankful for my amazing job, being the Executive Minister of the Community Miracles Center (CMC). I have had this job for almost 37 year now. Many people think this kind of longevity in the professional workplace is unheard of, and maybe even impossible in today’s modern environment. Apparently, they are wrong. And I am grateful. I still have my job and the CMC Church is still here.

It hasn’t always been easy. I am very aware that things I have said, and stands I have taken, have not always been popular. Many in our congregation, and some on the CMC Board of Directors, have not liked some of my positions and they have been free to tell me this – which they have.

30 plus years ago I was quite vocal about how I was choosing a bisexual, polyamorous lifestyle and that ACIM gave me a lot of spiritual back-up for these lifestyle choices. Some in the congregation and the Board thought this was professional suicide. The spiritual / religious market place would not be accepting of these “extreme” points of view. Apparently, they would be wrong. And I am grateful. I still have my job and the CMC Church is still here.

In the first few years of the new millennium I let go of using the Foundation for Inner Peace (FIP) version of ACIM. I embraced and supported the new version that was published based on the earlier ACIM edit found in the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) Library. It had been given to Hugh Lynn Cayce as a gift from Helen Schucman and William Thetford. When this new edit was first published in book form in 2006, I started using it for my classes and writings, and dropped using the FIP book. Again many thought I was committing professional suicide. They believed the FIP book would always be the most widely accepted and used book, and the other book, would at best, have only a small niche market. Apparently, they would be wrong … again. And I am grateful. I still have my job and the CMC Church is still here.

In 2020 and 2021 I was very critical of how our society was handling the Covid19 problem. I was vocal about being against any mandated lock down measures, which included mandated masking. Although always an advocate for people doing what they were guided to do, I was very open about my not taking any Covid inoculations. I was also vocal about not appreciating being barred from entry into restaurants and public venues in my home city of San Francisco. When I was told that I could always eat outside (in the cold and rain) I did not believe that was fair and right. Again, I was told that my positions would be professional suicide. I was told that spiritual/ religious people had to get on board with the Covid narrative because we needed to be seen as functioning for the public good. Other well known ACIM teacher had. Apparently, my critics would be wrong … yet again. And I am VERY grateful. I still have my job (and my body’s life) and the CMC Church is still here.

So on Sunday I will again be celebrating Thanksgiving and strengthening my weakened ability to be grateful, "... you need to develop your weakened ability to be grateful, or you cannot appreciate God. He does not need your appreciation, but you do." (OrEd.Tx.6.23) I do appreciate God, and I appreciate all of His children. At this moment I am especially grateful to all who stuck with me these 37 years. You stuck with me even when you didn’t agree with me, and even if you did not make the same choices that I made. Noted and appreciated!

I am grateful for YOU, the CMC congregation. And I am especially grateful for those who will share with me this coming Sunday.

10.29.23 "The Time to 'Raise the Dead' Is Now"

A Course In Miracles uses the word “reason" in a unique way. It uses it to mean thinking which is sane, or maybe the double negative is better, thinking which is not insane. Reason is not madness. The thinking of the ego world is all insane – all madness.

However not all thinking comes from the ego mind. Some thinking comes from the Holy Spirit and that thinking IS sane and therefore reasonable. "The home of madness cannot be the home of reason. ... You do not leave insanity by going somewhere else. You leave it simply by accepting reason where madness was." (OrEd.Tx.21.61) We accept the sane thinking in the mind. It is there and yearning to be heard. We just need to accept it and then the insane thinking fades away and finally disappears. In the process of fading, the madness is still occasionally heard. Let it be, so that it can continue to fade. Don’t react defensively to it and thus strengthen it.

Sickness and death are insane. They are part of the madness of the ego world. "Is it not madness to think of life as being born, aging, losing vitality, and dying in the end? ... all this is taken as the Will of God. And no one asks if a benign Creator could will this." (OrEd.Mn.27.1) “Benign” means, “gentle and kindly.” Would a gentle and kindly Creator have made us, and the world we live in, go through painful experiences of sickness and death? “No.” That would not be reasonable. "In this perception of the universe as God created it, it would not be possible to think of Him as loving." (OrEd.Mn.27.2) Let’s step out of our intellects and into an intuitive reality of reason. Let’s perpetually inspire ourselves to make the reasonable and sane choices. Let’s accept reason and reject madness.

Creation and Miracles - Past and Present

Recently I have been teaching about the illusion of death and how we needed to heal it. Unlike other things that appear to exist in this dream we are having, death is so inherently not of God, that it does not lend itself to a happy Holy Spirit perception. We can't cover death with Holy Spirit's light. The image of death is just too "grim." "Death is the symbol of the fear of God. ... The grimness of the symbol is enough to show it cannot co-exist with God." (OrEd.Mn.27.3) Death can only be risen above and healed.

For those who might say that this just seems too "advanced," and too far from where their current learning has brought them, let's look at this passage from the Text. "What better way to teach the first and fundamental principle in a course on miracles than by showing you the one which seems to be the hardest can be accomplished first? ... Death, were it true, would be the final and complete disruption of communication which is the ego's goal." (OrEd.Tx.19.83) "Yes." ACIM just challenged us all to "raise the dead" NOW ... not when we think we are "ready." Accomplish that miracle first, and then we will know that we have understood the very first Principle of Miracles, "There is no order of difficulty among miracles. One is not 'harder' or 'bigger' than another. They are all the same. All expressions of love are maximal." (OrEd.Tx.1.1)

It might have been convenient for ACIM teachers if this passage about healing death first was not in the teaching, but there it is ... challenging all of us, including the ACIM teachers. I recently spoke about how ACIM teaches that a healed and peaceful way of passing from this realm should not even be called "death." The Song of Prayer says that we might call it "liberty." "We call it death, but it is liberty. It does not come in forms that seem to be thrust down in pain upon unwilling flesh, but as a gentle welcome to release." (Song-3.II.3) So here is another clue, the healed way of passing from this realm through liberty would not come at the end of a body sickness process. Let's think about that for awhile as we contemplate that the time for "raising the dead" is at hand.

The true church of Christ is the traditional Catholic Church. Protestantism, Eastern "Orthodoxy" & all non-Catholic sects claiming to be Christian are unbiblical and are not true Christianity: The Eastern "Orthodox" broke away from the original church (The Roman Catholic Church) in 1054 & the Protestant revolution was in the 16th century - both developed revolutionary unbiblical heresies that the early church condemned & did not even remotely believe. Without the Catholic Church, there would be no Bible today. History, archeology, the Bible & miracles prove that Christ's one true church is the Catholic Church, founded in Rome where the Apostle St. Peter was buried.

No ancient Christian adhered to Protestant belief (i.e. 'Faith Alone', Sola Scriptura, 'Once Saved Always Saved', etc.) or "Orthodox" heresy (Palamism, denying the Filioque, allowing "divorce" & "remarriage", etc.) & schism (rejecting the Papacy, Mt.16:18-19 & 1 Tim. 6:12). The early church acknowledged the Papacy & professed Catholic beliefs, proving the traditional Catholic faith is the one true faith (Eph. 4:5).

Outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation. Holding the traditional Catholic faith is necessary in order to be saved from the fires of Hell. To hold the true faith, one must be validly baptized (Jn. 3:5, Mt. 28:19, Mk.16:16), assent to all dogmatic Catholic teaching, reject Vatican II, accept no salvation outside the Catholic Church, reject "baptism of desire", not attend any "New Mass" (the new service the infiltrators brought in around 1969, which generally uses a table & has the priest face the people with the "host" - it's an invalid service & is not the traditional Latin Mass), reject NFP, don't give money to or support any heresy or heretical priests/churches or organizations (which is basically all of them), etc. It is crucial to pray the Hail Mary frequently, the full 15-decade Rosary every day & have a strong devotion to the saints to convert, obtain graces & maintain a state of grace.

If you are validly baptized, are in mortal sin & haven't been to confession with a valid priest, you will need to make a general confession. One should only go to confession once they hold the correct positions. Mass is generally not an option today, because most traditional Masses are offered by invalid priests & the valid priests who do hold a valid service are almost all heretics. The traditional obligation for Catholics to attend Mass does not apply to most today because there is not a Catholic option avaliable for most Catholics, as prophesied in the end of days (Dan. 9). People should stay home on Sundays & pray the Rosary. The situation in Rome was prophesied. The end times remnant are traditional Catholics who maintain a state of grace, enduring until the end (Mk. 13:13) during this unprecedented period of the world falling into almost total apostasy from God.

Waiting For Your Miracle: Understanding God's Greater Plan

I have frequently heard people talk about how ACIM is restoring Jesus' true message that he gave 2000 plus years ago. The assumption is the original message got distorted. The gospels themselves were not written until many decades after the events. Many scholars believe they were written down from oral traditions and not by the apostles Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John themselves.

I don't claim to be an expert on Biblical history and scholarship, however from the little I have read it would be easy to see how the original teachings of Jesus might easily have been lost or at least distorted by the time the gospels were written down and collected. However it is also possible that Jesus' message has evolved along with Jesus himself. All throughout ACIM Jesus is telling us that we are also the Christ and that there is no inherent difference between him and us. We are to ourselves declare, "My oneness with the Christ establishes me as Your Son, beyond the reach of time and wholly free of every law but Yours." (OrEd.WkBk.354.1)

The message that followed from the gospels, and the Christian faith that evolved from that message, still has Jesus very much up on a pedestal. It also has Jesus very much up on a cross with his body dying. Somehow those 2 things go together. The new message from ACIM takes Jesus down from the pedestal and hopefully down from the cross as well.

We all are the Christ and none of us need be on the death cross. Seeing us all as the Christ levels the playing field, and also takes us all off whatever personal crosses we have put ourselves on. Everyone is healed when everyone is Christ acknowledged "You have reacted for years as if you were being crucified. This is a marked tendency of the separated ones" (OrEd.Tx.6.6)

The time for both pedestals and crosses is over. I believe this is how Jesus' message, and Jesus himself, has evolved over the past 2000 plus years. He was not "the" messiah anymore. He was and still is a messiah, and so are all of us. I believe this is the new covenant Jesus is giving us to teach and just as in his time 2000 plus years ago, don't expect the current religious establishment to welcome it with open arms.

10.08.23 "Thou Shall Not Bear False Witness"

Miracles, Signs, and Wonders are happening, the Kingdom of God is a matter of Power.

As a young Catholic boy I was taught the 10 Commandments in religious instruction. The 8th Commandment (or perhaps 9th depending on what version of the Bible you are reading) was, "Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor." I was taught this meant one shouldn’t lie about what one had seen, heard, or otherwise witnessed someone as having done or not done. I accepted that. It made sense.

Many decades later, ACIM turned that all around by a new meaning for "false witness." "Your judgment rests upon the witness that your senses offer you. Yet witness never falser was than this. But how else do you judge the world you see? You place pathetic faith in what your eyes and ears report." (OrEd.WkBk.151.3) ACIM is telling us that anything our eyes and ears report to us is suspect and unreliable. The entire perceptual world is false witness. Therefore, not bearing false witness against the holy Child of God would mean not using anything that appears in the world as a judgment against them. That would include ourselves as well.

ACIM also tells us directly that the appearance of sickness is indeed a false witness for us or for anyone else. It is a sensory "proof" to something that is actually a lie. However let us remember that the senses prove nothing. "It is hard to perceive sickness as a false witness ... This witness, then, appears to be innocent and trustworthy, because you have not seriously cross-examined him." (OrEd.Tx.8.73) Well … then let’s do that. Let's cross examine the witness of sickness and ask the Higher Court to invalidate this testimony.

10.01.23 "Invisibly Connected"

HERE is the Key to Miracles (on THIS channel)

We are told to trust in the Holy Spirit. "In everything be led by Him and do not reconsider. Trust Him to answer quickly, surely, and with love for everyone who will be touched in any way by the decision. And everyone will be." (OrEd.Tx.13.81) I like the short sentence at the end. Everyone will be touched, affected, by every decision we make. We are never deciding anything just for ourselves. Every decision we make affects the whole world. "No thought of God's Son can be separate or isolated in its effects. Every decision is made for the whole Sonship, directed in and out and influencing a constellation larger than anything you ever dreamed of." (OrEd.Tx.13.73)

Sounds like an awesome responsibility doesn't it? We probably have been submerged in a societal norm which tells us that our decisions are our own, and don't primarily affect anyone but ourselves. WRONG! Every decision we make affects all of creation because we are all of creation. Everything is connected. Think of large flocks of birds migrating on cue, flying thousands of miles every year. What programs these phenomenal, synchronized travels? There is surely some group consciousness which takes over. I cannot comprehend these journeys all being part of an individual program inside every little bird's brain. No, something larger and ethereal is taking place that defies our usual definitions of singular minds and individual animals.

If migrating flocks of birds are invisibly connected and functioning almost like a single organism, then why not humans? I'm sure we are. Every decision we makes touches every other brother and sister. "You are being blessed by every beneficent thought of any of your brothers anywhere. You should want to bless them in return out of gratitude. You do not have to know them individually or they you." 09.10.23 "As Within, So Without. As Above, So Below"

How to deal with the world we find ourselves in, has been a challenge for just about all of those who claim to embrace the teaching of ACIM at one time or another – and perhaps all the time. Some would ignore the world, even denigrate it. Those who do mention it, or even give it a purpose, are frequently harshly criticized by those ACIM people who are trying to rise above the world by reducing its importance. ACIM tells us that our path lies in the middle. "Many have chosen to renounce the world while still believing its reality ... Others have chosen nothing but the world – Between these paths there is another road that leads away from loss of every kind ... This is the way appointed for you now." (OrEd.WkBk.155.4-5) Choosing to walk the middle way should certainly be familiar to anyone with even a passing knowledge of Buddhism.

I pose that the middle way actually involves an acceptance of both the inner and the outer as important and useful. Actually ACIM tells us they are the same. "The idea for today, like the preceding ones, applies to your inner and outer worlds, which are actually the same." (OrEd.WkBk.32.2) Many of the first 50 Workbook lessons have you do the same application to the inner and outer worlds, with a consistent point made to make no distinction in applying the practice to either. For the sake of practice they are both treated exactly the same. Since this is true, why do some people think healing should only be applied to mind and thoughts, the inner world, and not to the body, either our own or that of another, in the outer world? "These exercises ... consist of repeating the idea slowly as you survey either your inner or outer world. It does not matter which you choose." (OrEd.WkBk.32.5) Again, it does not matter which is chosen because since it is the inner that is causing the outer they are both technically the same. "You will escape from both together, for the inner is the cause of the outer." (OrEd.WkBk.31.2)

This truth has been taught for many millennium. Consider this well known expression from Hermetic Philosophy, “As within, so without, as above, so below, as the universe, so the soul.” Hermeticism is a religious philosophy that was popular during the same time of early Christianity. It is very metaphysical. It combined elements of classic Greek (the God Hermes) and classic Egyptian (the God Thoth) philosophy. Obviously they were onto the same metaphysical truth that the inner is the cause of the outer. This understanding is necessary for all true healing. No limits within means no limits without. Manifesting no limits without must mean accepting no limits within. Healing of the inner is the healing of the outer. Manifesting a healing of the outer must mean that the inner too has been healed. “As within, so without. As above, so below."

09.03.23 "Healing Christianity"

I have been getting the clear message lately that one of the main purposes of the spiritual discipline A Course In Miracles is to heal modern Christianity. One could say it is literally a “Course Correction” for Christianity. I believe that Jesus wants us to identify broadly as Christians but that in order to do this we will have to correct, or heal, a few basic misperceptions that many traditional, Bible based Christians have. Jesus says that in spite of being “very sincere” many Christians still believe in the importance of the crucifixion itself. "The crucifixion did not establish the Atonement. The resurrection did. This is a point which many very sincere Christians have misunderstood." (OrEd.Tx.3.11)

These traditional Christians see Jesus as the ultimate "sacrificial lamb” who had to be killed as the final, "perfect sacrifice" that would put an end to sacrifice once and for all. However ACIM tells us, "Sacrifice is a notion totally unknown to God. ... Sacrificing another in any way is a clear cut violation of God's own injunction that man should be merciful even as his Father in Heaven. It has been hard for many Christians to realize that this commandment (or assignment) also applies to themselves." (OrEd.Tx.3.21) Higher than anything else, a "real Christian" would have to be merciful.

Being merciful really just means being loving, however there is an implication that we must be loving especially towards those who the world may give us the permission NOT to be loving towards. Good Christians would especially be loving towards those who have appeared to hurt them. In fact, this might be the precise sign that a person is indeed a follower of Jesus, a Christian – that ability to be loving towards those very ones who everyone would say do not deserve it. That's where the true Christian proves their faith. We are Jesus' followers, his disciples. "I must found His church on you because you who accept me as a model are literally my disciples. Disciples are followers." (OrEd.Tx.6.12) "Teachers of God" and "Miracle Christians" – our time to demonstrate who we are and to be merciful is now.

THAT'S WHAT I CALL A MIRACLE

A recent exchange with an old friend triggered some personal revelations. This person wouldn’t get together with me for dinner if I was going to wear my cleric collar. I humored them once about 2 years ago and wore a long tie instead. It was fine, but I have not been guided to do that again. At the time I thought, "Recognize what does not matter, and if your brothers ask you for something 'outrageous,' do it because it does not matter." (OrEd.Tx.11.27) I started to wear the cleric collar in 2020 when the shelter-in-place directives were issued in March of that year. The idea that clergy weren’t essential workers seemed preposterous to me. As I spoke of at the time "Drastic Times Require Drastic Measures – 03.29.20.”

Making a true public display of my life's focus has had a great value in ways I had not thought of before. I started going by "Rev. Tony” instead of just “Tony” when I was first ordained in 1984. I have never wavered from that and eventually I got all my legal documents to reflect my name change. I suppose 36 years was enough of a trial run. Apparently by 2020 I was ready to kick my dedication up a notch. I am so glad I did. It has become a personal religious revival for me. There is nothing more important for Rev. Tony than to continually remind himself how he is to interface with the world. I am a man of God, here to illustrate a Spirit dedicated life, devoted to healing all the Holy Child of God. "Until you see the healing of the Son as all you wish to be accomplished by the world, by time, and all appearances, you will not know the Father nor yourself." (OrEd.Tx.24.52) The cleric collar communicates so much without me even having to speak a word. It provides a foundation for every conversation to be had on top of that.

I never leave home without wearing my collar. I don’t go out in public without it because it is my statement about what my public life is dedicated to. I even wear it often in my home. “No” I do not sleep with it. (lol) I have found that almost everyone accepts me with it just fine – even my high school classmates from Canastota, NY when I show up for our annual reunions. My biological sisters accept it. My church has accepted it – or perhaps the ones who did not left. All the waiters and waitresses at restaurants I eat at accept it. All the clerks in the stores I shop at accept it. In truth I believe people are generally friendlier to me than they are to the average person. Perhaps I seem "safer.” I’m not sure, but friendlier interactions are certainly a wonderful thing.

As for my friend who won’t have dinner with me if I wear it … well I have to ask what kind of a “friend” that is, and why would I want to have dinner with such a person? That's an important revelation in itself. I am "Rev. Tony Ponticello" and I am enjoying the personal religious revival I have had since putting on the cleric collar. I don’t see myself going back. It’s been terrific.

Borrowing this title from a famous essay from Camille Paglia, I will simple explain that this "lawlessness" is actually a good thing. Trying to push the physical universe into rational, scientific laws has been a problem for millennia. While our culture tends to praise "scientific understanding" (and no one does this more than the scientists themselves) I am forced to wonder what has been lost since the time when mankind believed the physical world was shaped by unseen spiritual and metaphysical energies. "Long ago the end was written in the stars and set into the Heavens with a shining Ray that held it safe within eternity and through all time as well." (FIP.Cl.Ep.2:5) Perhaps the stars do have something to teach us after all. Perhaps this is ACIM's nod to astrology.

ACIM is clear that the laws that seem to govern physical reality are not laws at all. These laws are merely ideas, habits of thought and behavior, that produce world effects predictively consistent with the habits. To be a miracle worker means to not be governed by these so-called "laws." "What [Holy Spirit] enables you to do is clearly not of this world, for miracles violate every law of reality as this world judges it." (OrEd.Tx.11.63) We will never rise to the level of the miraculous unless we challenge these ideas, these physical laws. Many students are attempting to have one foot in physical reality and another in Heaven at the same time. It doesn't work. "I am under no laws but God's. – We have observed before how many senseless things have seemed to you to be salvation. Each has imprisoned you with laws as senseless as itself. You are not bound by them." (OrEd.WkBk.76.1)

The "arena" is physical reality. In truth it has no laws. As we realize this we can allow the laws of God to predominate and manifest their reflection. This is how true miracle healing happens. Join with me Sunday for an inspired romp through the fun experience of Spirit guided "lawlessness."

On October 17, 1995 two baby girl twins were born 12 weeks premature. A typical human pregnancy is 40 weeks, so these two girls were born after only 28 weeks. They each weighed only 2 pounds and their next few weeks would be critical. They were put into separate incubators and monitored closely. "Sickness is a retreat from others and a shutting off of joining. It becomes a door that closes on a separate self and keeps it isolated and alone." (OrEd.WkBk.137.2) One twin, Kyrie, was progressing well and gaining some weight, but the other twin, Brielle, was not. At 26 days old, Brielle went into critical condition. Her heart rate went up, but her oxygen saturation went down. She wasn't expected to make it.

The nurse on duty, Gale Kasparian, had heard of a procedure done in Europe, but not practiced in the USA, where multiple birth babies (twins & triplets, etc.) were put in beds together. "Sickness is isolation. For it seems to keep one self apart from all the rest to suffer what the others do not feel." (OrEd.WkBk.137.2) Against standard hospital protocol, but with the consent of the parents, nurse Kasparian put both babies in the same incubator. Almost immediately the failing Brielle squirmed and quickly snuggled next to her sister, who she hadn't been next to since they were born 26 days earlier. Her vital signs started to stabilize. Then the stronger Kyrie surprisingly extended her little arm and hugged her sister. What happened next was a miracle. Very quickly Brielle's vital signs went back to normal. A nearby photographer captured the moment with a photo that went viral around the world. It was captioned "The Rescuing Hug."

Kyrie and Brielle are now healthy 28 year olds (see second picture above), and "co-bedding" new born twins has become standard hospital procedure.

Much has been talked about with this situation, especially the healing power of touch with new borns. I think even more was going on, and the story reflects our spiritual connection with certain important souls here in this realm. "The third level of teaching occurs in relationships which, once they are formed, are lifelong. These are teaching-learning situations in which each person is given a chosen learning partner who presents him with unlimited opportunities for learning." Hear Your Way To Miracles (#3)

I recently returned from a wonderful and very healing 5 day trip to my hometown on the East Coast, Canastota New York, to visit with my biological sisters, attend my high school reunion, and inspect properties I own and rent with my sister Sara. I am grateful for the miracle manifestation of affordable air travel which heals the illusion of separation between my biological family, my childhood home, and my home of choice of San Francisco, California on the other side of the country. "Every situation properly perceived becomes an opportunity to heal the Son of God." (OrEd.Tx.19.2) There was so much healing packed into this quick 5 day trip.

However the truth is there is healing packed into every day of our lives wherever we are and whatever we may be doing. Plus, if we are doing our best to live the guided, purposeful life then that healing is maximized and it is important for us to behold that healing. That is why it is important to start every day with time with God. "... it is well to start the day right. It is always possible to begin again, should the day begin with error, yet there are obvious advantages in terms of saving time if the need for this can be avoided." (OrEd.Mn.16.2) It is important to start every day by beholding the healing manifested and extended from the day before. "Forget not that the healing of God's Son is all the world is for. That is the only purpose the Holy Spirit sees in it and thus the only one it has." (OrEd.Tx.24.52)

Our healing purpose was given to us. It is not up to us to invent. It is revealing itself to us in every instant. It is not hiding. Perhaps we have hidden from it, but now is the time to stop hiding. Now is the time to embrace our Divine birthright and to behold all the miracles and healing this embrace will reveal. "Behold" is an interesting word. It means "to see or observe a thing or person, especially a remarkable or impressive one." We are to behold our lives and all the miracles it presents. Our life and all the people in it are remarkable and impressive. "Let me behold the Son of God today and witness to his glory." (OrEd.WkBk.250.1) We are the Child of God. We are glorious. We are remarkable and impressive. Behold!

07.23.23 "Miracles Heal the Body – Tell Me How I Am Wrong"

Creation and Miracles - Past and Present

For as long as I have been involved with ACIM there has been a debate about whether believing that miracles can heal the body is “correct” ACIM application or not. To me this debate seems strange since there are so many passages which say EXACTLY that. Here’s one, "Thus is the body healed by miracles because they show the mind made sickness and employed the body to be victim or effect of what it made." (OrEd.Tx.28.26) People say that even mentioning body healing is "wrong" because ACIM is all about the mind and not the body. Unfortunately, for this group there are a lot of direct statements that say that the body is definitely healed by miracles. Here’s another, "Now is the body healed because the source of sickness has been opened to relief." (OrEd.WkBk.136.19)

In order to counter-act passages like this, the 'mind only experience' people have to explain why Jesus would have said such direct things that state clearly and unambiguously that the body is healed. "If the mind can heal the body but the body cannot heal the mind, then the mind must be stronger. Every miracle demonstrates this." (OrEd.Tx.6.62) If you’ve been around ACIM circles for awhile I’m sure you’ve encountered these discussions. In order to hold onto the idea that even mentioning body healing is a mistake, ACIM people have had to believe sometimes ACIM doesn’t actually mean what it says and is only speaking symbolically or perhaps metaphorically. I will not go down that pathway.

If you are validly baptized & haven't been to confession to a valid priest, you will need to make a general confession. One should only go to confession once they hold the correct positions. Mass is generally not an option today, because most traditional Masses are offered by invalid priests & the valid priests who do hold a valid service are almost all heretics. The traditional obligation for Catholics to attend Mass does not apply to most today because there is not a Catholic option avaliable for most Catholics, as prophesied in the end of days (Dan. 9). People should stay home on Sundays & pray the Rosary. The situation in Rome was prophesied. The end times remnant are traditional Catholics who maintain a state of grace, enduring until the end (Mk. 13:13) during this unprecedented period of the world falling into almost total apostasy from God.

07.09.23 "Who Told Us We Were Naked?"

Creation & Miracles - Past and Present

For a couple of months now I have been sharing about how I am realizing what a strong focus ACIM has on "freedom." Well, nice to know there are still new things to learn from ACIM even after 40 plus years of being thoroughly engaged in the discipline. "You have taught freedom, but you have not learned how to be free." (OrEd.Tx.16.22) I believe that to completely interpret certain passages like this, one needs to understand that Jesus was speaking first to Helen and Bill, before we make the statement universal and general. What I now get from this is that an intellectual understanding about freedom is not being free itself. We are not asked to understand freedom, we are told to live free.

Freedom heals slavery and imprisonment. "Release your body from imprisonment, and you will see no one as prisoner to what you have escaped." (OrEd.Tx.31.31) We must heal ourselves, and everyone else, from the imprisonment of believing we are limited bodies with finite lives. Regardless of how strong this illusion may seem, it is not the truth and can be blown away like dust when we center in on the truth of who and what we are. "Only a little wall of dust still stands between you [and Christ]. Blow on it lightly and with happy laughter, and it will fall away. And walk into the garden love has prepared for both of you." (OrEd.Tx.18.83)

The Garden of Eden is not just the place we left, it is the place we are going back to. It is a place where life is lived in abundance, in beauty, and in freedom. Freedom from what you might ask? Freedom from guilt and shame. In the symbolic Garden, when Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree of good and evil, the so-called "Tree of Knowledge," they felt shame for the first time, shame about being bodies. So they put on clothes. When God saw that they had done this he asked them the famous question, "Who told you you were naked?" "And He said, 'Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?'" (Bible:Gen.3.11) We should be asking ourselves the same question today. Who told us we were naked? Who told us we were guilty? Who told us we should be ashamed? What "good and evil" fruit did we "eat" that we should not have eaten? Freedom lies in the answer to that question. 27 min.

On Tuesday in the USA we will celebrate Independence Day which commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4 in 1776, 247 years ago. While signed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by the members of the Second Continental Congress, it was actually read to the public for the first time in Boston, Massachusetts from the east side balcony of The Old State House (see picture) on July 18, 1776 (2 weeks later). That building is now a National Historic Landmark and when the CMC did its ACIM Conference in 2019 we were just a couple of blocks from it. I toured the museum inside. It was inspiring. Healing is not an ability that we learn as we make the spiritual journey, climb in consciousness, and then distribute from our new lofty perch. Healing is a continual process that involves perpetual change and growth on the part of the healer. "Teaching and learning are your greatest strengths now, because you must change your mind and help others change theirs. ... You have dreamed of a separated ego, and you have believed in a world which rests upon it. This is very real to you. You cannot undo this by doing nothing and not changing." (OrEd.Tx.4.100) Many ACIM people like to believe that in ACIM they have found what they have always known intuitively was true. They celebrate that now they have words to express what they have always known. You have to let that idea go – it's an ego trap.

Basically that is saying that you already know everything, so nothing in you needs to change. This is level confusion. The level at which we know everything is not the level that the sickness is at, nor is it the level that needs our healing abilities. At the level that truly needs healing we have to acknowledge that we do NOT know everything, and we have to become willing to learn by following the Holy Spirit's guidance. We have to allow change into our thought systems. "Many stand guard over their ideas because they want to protect their thought systems as they are, and learning means change. Change is always fearful to the separated ones" (OrEd.Tx.4.7) We healers have to be willing to hear new ideas. We have to be willing to change. 37 min.

What if You Could KNOW 4 SURE Who is Hearing From Our CREATOR. Then WATCH and Let the Record SPEAK.

In times gone by (and still today at Renaissance Fairs) towns and villages employed a “Town Crier” to get important messages out to the populace. Usually depicted elaborately dressed in red formal wear, ringing a big brass bell, the Town’s Crier was obviously trying to be seen and heard. The Crier’s important messages needed to get out to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. He definitely was NOT hiding. I believe we ACIM people have a very important message to get out to people too. "Hear yee! Hear yee! It has been declared by our Lord and Divine Creator, that we are now freed from every manifestation of guilt – including sickness and death itself! Be not afraid!” “Fear is not justified in any form.” (OrEd.WkBk.240)

At this time in history our message is critical as humanity seems at an inflection point. However, many still feel insecure putting out our message boldly. Borrowing ideas from 12-Step programs I hear that ACIM should spread by "attraction rather than promotion.” However I find nothing in the discipline itself to support this. I see ACIM calling us to be busy teachers, ministers, and active workers in the “Great Crusade” bringing Jesus’ words to the multitudes. "As God sent me to you, so will I send you to others." (OrEd.Tx.8.28) We are also told, "It needs your voice." (OrEd.WkBk.SpTh301:5) I think we are supposed to be yelling these truths from the rooftops, not hiding them under a bushel. The immediate future of our entire society may be depending on it. 30 min.

A recent lesson in the ACIM Workbook taught us the idea that we do not know we are the Christ child is preposterous. "The only thing that can be surely known by any living thing is what it is." (OrEd.WkBk.139.2) The calm, certain power for knowing ourselves as the Christ is always there. I choose to affirm that we all do know this and whatever peaceful and joyful moments that we have, this is the reason we are having them. I choose not to see this as a remote distant goal, but as a present reality that I tap into frequently every day.

I look for these moments and expect to see them. "For what you look for, you are far more likely to discover than what you would prefer to overlook." (OrEd.Tx.21.49) And I DO see them. If I don’t, then I am merely overlooking them – and this too is a choice. Are you experiencing yourself as what you are, the Christ? It’s all a matter of choice. So if not, "Choose once again." (OrEd.Tx31.84) 27 min.

Today's lesson has one of the great healing quotations in it, one of the quotations we rotate at the bottom of these emails. "The sick are healed as you let go all thoughts of sickness, and the dead arise when you let thoughts of life replace all thoughts you ever held of death." (OrEd.WkBk.132.9) This is, of course, reflective of Miracle Principle #24, "Miracles enable man to heal the sick and raise the dead because he made sickness and death himself and can abolish both. (OrEd.Tx.1.27) A great 6 word meme to embed in our consciousness would be just, "Heal the sick; raise the dead." Somebody comes up to us and asks "Hey. What are you going to do today?" We could reply, "Heal the sick; raise the dead." I like that. I think I'll do that. Keeps us clear on our mission.

Remember the old *Mission Impossible* television show – 1966-1973? It would start with Mr. Phelps listening to a recording that described an impossible spy mission. At the end of the recording the voice would say, "Your mission, IF you should decide to accept it, is to ...." For *A Course in Miracles* that would be, "Your mission, WHEN you decide to accept it, is to heal the sick and raise the dead." It's not a matter of "if." It's strictly a matter of "when." Maybe this seems like mission impossible to us at times, but it shouldn't. If Jesus could do it, we can do it. "I would not ask you to do the things you cannot do, and it is impossible that I could do things you cannot do." (OrEd.Tx.8.88) Heal the sick; raise the dead" is always "Mission Possible." 28 min.

On March 10, USA banking regulators shut down and took over Silicon Valley Bank. The bank had cascaded into failure in 2 short days. On March 12, USA banking regulators shut down and took over Signature Bank which was having a similar failure. These two banks failing sent structural "shock waves" through the international financial industry. Several other banks teetered on the brink of collapse. People were in fear. The stock market, which is tied to the world's banking system plunged. As all this happened an item entered on our CMC prayer healing list: "The appearance of – the world banking system in trouble with large banks failing and billions of dollars in assets evaporating"

Now, about 7 weeks after the 2 bank failures, talk of a world wide banking collapse has largely faded. The stock market has regained its value and even advanced some. We rarely give witness to these more global types of healing, and I thought it would be good for us to truly take this in. Are you willing? "Your witnessing demonstrates your belief and thus strengthens it. Those who witness for me are expressing through their miracles that they have abandoned the belief in deprivation in favor of the abundance they have learned belongs to them." (OrEd.Tx.1.66) The world banking system did not collapse, as many people feared it would. Why? Because the CMC Healing Team (and all who participated in Sunday Gatherings), plus other true miracle healers everywhere didn't allow it to.

Remember the Bible story about the Apostles being fearful, out on a boat on the Sea of Galilee when a storm came up? Jesus, who wasn't with them on the boat, suddenly appeared walking on the water towards them. Jesus calmed the sea, and the story continues, "But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." (Bible.Mt.14.27) The next time the world gets afraid about impending doom, remember the banking collapse that didn't happen and why – the CMC's healing work, plus the healing work of miracle healers everywhere.
