If we learned anything over the weekend at COTA, it is that the cautions at the end of Stages in NASCAR races can and need to go. I will tell you why to include it bringing back strategy into the fold today.
I am going to say that the NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco Uniforms 300 in Las Vegas was kind of a bummer if we're being honest. I still discuss all of the highlights, what we learned, and give my reaction to it all.
I will say that I personally thought it was a boring race for NASCAR in Las Vegas over the weekend. I will tell you exactly why, give you all the highlights from the race, and my reaction to it all.
I have a lot of feelings when it comes to NASCAR driver Chase Elliott breaking his tibia while snowboarding in Colorado on Friday. I give my honest reaction to it all including the reasons I'm ok with it, the reasons I hate it, and whether or not I think it was a good idea for him to be snowboarding in the first place. As well as my thoughts for teams and sponsors involved across many series because of this accident happening.
Last night we learned somethings during the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Victorias Voice Foundation 200. From where Kyle Busch and KBM are after the switch from Toyota to Chevrolet, to ThorSport after their switch from Toyota to Ford, and where some people are at this point of the season. I break it all down and give my reaction to all of that and the highlights.
Over the weekend we saw the last NASCAR races on the 2-mile configuration at the Auto Club Speedway. NASCAR had some of its usual stupid in regard to rain, but we did get to see some good racing on track. I will go over all of the highlights, the stupid move by NASCAR, and give my reaction to everything. I also discuss the racing coming up this weekend with the first races of the season for some other racing series.
It almost amazes me how bad NASCAR is when it comes to races when there is weather and rain in the area. They did it once again last night in the Craftsman Truck Series opening NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona. I unload on exactly why I'm pissed off about it and their inability to make good decisions in these situations. No matter how many times they're in them.
