"The One Thing" is a song by Australian rock group INXS, released in July 1982 as the first single ahead of their third studio album, Shabooh Shoobah, which appeared in October that year.
Written by guitarist Andy Farriss and lead singer Michael Hutchence, this song is about having a girl who is beautiful and confident, with lots of men after her. It was the first song by this Australian group to make an impact in the United States, setting the groundwork for their international success in the mid-1980s.
With their photogenic frontman, INXS was a great fit for MTV. When the network started playing the video for this song, it gave them a huge boost and propelled the single onto the charts. The video was a strange one, but so was just about everything on MTV at the time, since there was no established protocol for the process and the network favored clips that were quirky and/or outrageous (beautiful people also helped). Regarding the video, INXS bass player Tim Farriss said in the book I Want My MTV: "We fed Valium to a few cats and had them running around a table while we had a feast with sexy models and Playboy centerfolds, ripping apart a turkey. Next thing we knew, we had a Top 40 hit in America."
At the 1982 Countdown Music Awards, the song was nominated for Best Australian Single.

I figured out how to enjoy Burnout Paradise like the classic Burnout 3 Takedown. I wanted to give my offspring the true experience! Mwahaha!
After a quick example, I simply set the audio control to blutooth. It played both audio nicely! Fading out when sound effects happened! I was using a Sony Playstation 4 with a 4K tv. I have a good audio box that can do this!
Felt like the very first time I played on a Playstation 2! This is the way to play my Loves! I chose to play a French disc. You could play whatever song you like to get this effect!
A word of caution, when ordering forign items, they may not play in every disc player. More importantly, there are disc players now that will damage your media. The strength of reading laser has increased since my time.
I personally prefer cassette because I grew up with them. The sad fact that none I owned would have survived this long breaks my heart. Did you know that no two personally owned cassette is exactly the same?
I bought a converter to preserve my tape collection but the hosting site I chose made it very difficult. The new branding caused this. Turning two albums into three seperate entities.
In closing, I did manage to make one "mix tape" It was not dubbed from a tape recorder though, in spirit, that is what I call it. I have shared it before long ago and it was well recieved but I may not monetize. It is against my moral values.
I have alot to offer and am not charging money. I can loose everything today and bounce back. That is how I earned my name. Two big court victories for President Trump yesterday!
A New York state appeals court judge has halted the trial of a fraud lawsuit brought against Donald Trump by the New York Attorney General, Letitia James, which was scheduled to start on Oct. 2.
New York State Justice David Friedman, with the 1st Department of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, granted Trump’s attorneys an interim stay and referred the matter to a 5-judge panel which will rule in about two weeks on the matter.
Judge Friedman also ruled that the full appeals court must consider on an expedited basis, Trump’s lawsuit against trial judge, Arthur Engoron, who had refused to grant a 3-week delay in the trial, slated to start on Oct. 2, calling Trump’s lawsuit, “completely without merit.”
"Love Like Blood" is a song by English rock band Killing Joke. It was released in January 1985 as the second single from their fifth studio album, Night Time (1985). Produced by Chris Kimsey, the song is characterized as gothic rock and new wave. It was a top 10 hit in the Netherlands, Belgium and New Zealand and peaked at number 16 in the United Kingdom.
